Glorious music--but the engineer in me has to ask where the Rocketeer got his lift. Thrust, looks like plenty of that, check; yaw control, well, that helmet fin might help a little. But what, unless we invoke the Will of the Lord God Jehovah (and I don't think this was intended as a religious epic), balanced him against gravity in horizontal flight?
Peevy tells him how when he's about to fly for the first time - when Cliff accidentally turns off the rocket while saluting the plane later, he loses altitude and pitches right the moment he raises his left *before* the rocket switches off. So the arms and legs are a factor too, probably why he keeps the legs closed and the arms angled backwards at his sides.

If anyone happens to have the "GermanSeabass" sheet music for this, I would really appreciate it if it could be shared. A beautiful piece, and I really want to learn it for the piano.
What was it like strapping that thing to your back and flying like a bat outta hell?
It was the closest I’ll ever get to heaven Mr Hughes.......well maybe not.
I worked with JJ and asked him about the score, he said JH was too English..

2:37 where the fun begins
Glorious music--but the engineer in me has to ask where the Rocketeer got his lift. Thrust, looks like plenty of that, check; yaw control, well, that helmet fin might help a little. But what, unless we invoke the Will of the Lord God Jehovah (and I don't think this was intended as a religious epic), balanced him against gravity in horizontal flight?
Leave fantasy as it is: fun.
I wanted the bad guys to win , do not get me started on Captain America!
