Thank you so much!, I have learned more on this video than the class at the dealer I purchased it from! I’d love to see how the additional feet work! Again, thank you!,
Kirei is so responsive, the needle and foot lift are fantastic. Dual feed! Did I hear straight stitch conversion (not a plate)? Our dealer switched from Pfaffs and picked up Jukis... have been happy with the performance of their lower models we bough for workshops, but this commercial/home machine hybrid line is incredible. Have had my eye on one with interchangable feed dogs.
Thanks for this great video Lucy. Would you say the buttonhole foot on this is superior to the Janome one which also has a clamp? (I have a Janome 7060). Also, would you recommend the Juki for someone who never makes quilts or would it only be worth the investment for quilt and garment sewing? Thanks! Pamela
I read on Amazon that a person complained that this Juki would not sew over thick fabrics. Occasionally I need to upholster a chair seat, Ottman, and pillows using heavy fabric. I love the width of the throat of this machine for quilting and hope that it will satisfy my other needs. Will it sew over thick seams? Thank you for your help, Elizabeth
It seems the dual feed may not be properly engaged? Both times you started sewing with it in place, you can see and hear it snap back and up...watch the parts of the video when you first begin sewing with it to see what I'm referring to. I'm a Pfaff lover because of IDT and am primary interested in this machine for the dual feed and size.
Dual feed was not properly engaged by Lucy - see youtube video ruclips.net/video/gxlAE2qTO5o/видео.html In this video the dual feed is loaded right under the back of the foot whereas Lucy placed it above the back of the foot
Thank you so much that was so interesting I wish I had known about Juki a couple of years ago when having to change my machine but maybe my next one🤔😛😘
What are the major differences between Juki & Janome..i noticed you can go up and down on heavy upholstery fabrics with Juki..plus cool foots, plus larger width between button holes which is practical..maybe price point??
I would take a Juki over a Janome any day of the week. one thing that Juki does is a box feed on these higher end machines which means the feed dogs move in sort of a rectangle pattern rather than an oval, same as the industrial machines do
I'm having a really bad rough sewing sound in the bobbin case area or under the machine when I'm sewing. The stitch is perfect. I have changed everything I can think of. But I just don't know what else to do. Are there issues with this people have found? My machine is only a few months old
How does the bobbin case hold up? I wanted something industrial grade similar to my Juki DDL8700 to do zigzag stitches but there's nothing out there that meets my needs. I am not too fond of going back to a plastic bobbin case - I had a Janome Memory Craft and had to change the bad quality bobbin case soooo often, it ended up costing me half of what I paid for the actual machine. Advice?
Can anyone help me? I recently purchased the Juki HZL NX7, and I am getting bird nesting badly with the decorative stitches. I am trying to do stitch 130. It was fine and then just started bird nesting horribly. I have Re threaded many times. Can you help?
One comment I have heard is that the needle plate (or switch plate) is higher than the surrounding sewing area. I do a lot of ruler quilting and require a level sewing area. Please will you measure any difference in height between the needle plate and the surrounding sewing area? thank you
I am confused on setting the height when you free motion quilt. For instance a quilt thickness??? Do I measure it or what is normal setting for a quilt?
Hi Caroline, The height can be adjusted using the floating function to accommodate thicker quilts. Once you lower the foot you will be able to tell if it needs adjusting or not. All the best, Lucy
wow that machine did not complain at all about that thick fabric or changing thicknesses. I have an HZL f300 that complains about thick fabric all the time
Awesome sewing machine. Great video. I'm new to sewing. Is it better to start with a machine you can grow in to, or a lesser machine, work your way up? I thought I wanted a Janome, this Juki looks great though.
This was awhile ago so you may have bought a machine already, but still :-P Janome is great machines, but I myself compair them to Apple. You pay a bit extra because of the Janome name. And like Apple you can get another brand that is just as good for less money. I'm a Juki lover obviously, but my second choice would be a Brother. Both produce great, strong machines with the same features as Janome (and often more included accessories) for a lower price.
Thank you! I'm considering this machine, but dealers in Florida haven't gotten them yet and it's hard to find videos of it when it is this new! I did want to let you know that your dual feed was up in the air the whole time, it did not appear to be engaged... but still a lovely video and thank you 😁
Thanks so much for the review! I have heard that Juki is making some changes to the machine and that is why it is on backorder everywhere. Do you know if this is accurate?
You are right. I purchased one of the first machines, and it had some definite problems. Horrible noise and there was a bug in the software. Juki and my dealer were excellent about it. They took the machine back right away, with an honest explanation of why I had the problem. Then they sent me a new one after the bug was fixed just before Thanksgiving with a return label for the old one. No cost at all for me. The one I have now is magnificent! Juki and the dealer listened to me and gave me great service by instantly replacing it without question. I am finding all sorts of sneaky shortcuts that this can do. If you program the small petal to cut the threads, and then program the start and stop functions of the needle to also raise the pressure foot when it clips the threads, you end up with double action when you press the small pedal that keep your hands free! I make purses so I need the long arm, the dual feed, and the ability of the machine to sew through very thick layers. This machine does it with ease! This machine is not quiet, but with the extra power, features, and ability it has it is an easy tradeoff.
Trish Fink hi. Saw your comment that you have this machine. Can you confirm that it does not have 9mm stitch width capability. I saw somewhere that it’s on 7mm. I’m so interested in it, but was sad to see that it may not be 9mm. Are you still loving it? I do want something that can handle a few layers of heavy fabric easily. I make little bags and I use duck canvas a lot and my small machine just about has an aneurysm every time. I drives me bananas. But I also want all the little bells and whistles that I’m accustomed to. And the big throat space. This machine looks fantastic and hits pretty darn near everything on my wish list, with the exception of stitch width.
Hi , love this demo 😋 Lucy is great doesn’t speed through everything gives us time to absorb everything ! Lovely machine , may I ask what price is it going for pls ?
I dunno about it not coming with a regular flat bed and just a table.. I don't like that. And I know Bernina do the same thing, but I find it looking a bit incomplete. I just don't like that.
I'm sorry, but I cannot understand but two or three words each sentence you speak. And you are going way too fast for understanding the functions of the machine. Disappointed.
So comprehensive and clear. Thanks! On to your next one.
Lucy you do fab demo's please keep them coming.
Thank you for such a clear detailed demonstration.

Would you say this one is better then HZL F600? I am about to invest in new machine and I am having multiple doubts
Love your tutorials 💜💜💜Would love to see reviews on your Elna sewing machines for quilters💜
at 20:20 the smart feed seems to disengage itself, and other times you pull it down it does as well....what is this problem and how to avoid it?

Thanks so much for this video. I've just bought this machine and I am sure I will be referring back to your very helpful demonstration.
Can you show how to wind the bobbin? I'm having a lot of trouble with that. Thanks!

Janome is a piece of plastic crap you constantly have to get parts for. I love Juki, but then again, I have only had Juki industrial grade machines.

Does it have free motion quilting capability?
yes it does
What about a free motion quilting demo😀
Doesn’t seem anyone is getting their questions answered……..too bad.
Hi what’s the difference between this model the NX7 and the DX7? Thanks

Really helpful, thank you and God bless!
Can you fill the bobbin while you are sewing thx
As a prior pfaff owner, is there a specific bobbin that is necessary? I heard standard 1500. Thanks to anyone that knows.
Hello if I don.t use de broderie stiches, is it a good idea to buy this machine ?
Can you oil this machine yourself? And is is made dye cast like my Juki 2000ti ?
Hi Lucy, great review, you got me interested. Is it possible to use Pfaff feet with this machine?
wow that machine did not complain at all about that thick fabric or changing thicknesses. I have an HZL f300 that complains about thick fabric all the time
Anyone knows how to do the firmware update? Did i missed anything in the user manual?
Do you HAVE to use the stylus? I'd loser itby the end of the day for certain
No you can use your finger
What are your thoughts about this machine after 5 years?
Awesome sewing machine. Great video. I'm new to sewing. Is it better to start with a machine you can grow in to, or a lesser machine, work your way up? I thought I wanted a Janome, this Juki looks great though.

I appreciate that kind of machine and I need one, how can I get it in Tanzania zanzibar?

Sew Mini Things in Mt. Dor, Florida carries these machines.
Why are they never any demos of silk or organza?
Hi Lucy, can you please tell me if this sewing machine have a straight stitch with chaining on the underside? Thank you.
Hi Lorraine, It does convert with a straight stitch plate and feed dog, but the stitch is a standard lock stitch, not a chain stitch. Lucy
Yes please we would like some ruler work .
Is this a semi industrial sewing machine that requires oiling?
Wow beautiful I love this 😍
Lovely machine! Do you think one could FMQ a King size quilt on this?
Thanks so much for the review! I have heard that Juki is making some changes to the machine and that is why it is on backorder everywhere. Do you know if this is accurate?
Hi Kathie, not that we know of, they are in stock and available for immediate delivery :).

How much the cost
What height is the shank?
Price please
Hi , love this demo 😋 Lucy is great doesn’t speed through everything gives us time to absorb everything !
Lovely machine , may I ask what price is it going for pls ?
Goes from 2,600/2,999.00
I dont understand about the walking foot....also i did not see a foot for free motion...i am a beginner so maybe thats why I'm confused
It’s a built in walking foot that attaches to certain feet that are included. It does come with a foot for free motion.
@@chrisruffatto964 thank u so much.
They call it dual feed. But I like it. Love the machine. Have had it for a few months and am still learning the features.
@@chrisruffatto964 Do you still love your machine? Planning to buy this but have doubts! Thanks in advance! ☺
What’s the price c
