The round analogue gauges are waay better looking than the Half-trapezoid-thingy-with-reverse-tach that the more powerful versh has. Even Aston's best looking gauges ever is now looking like a gamer's delight.

You triggered some conspiracy side of me :-) Finally a non full spec'ed 3 series review, finally stating things that others daren't to say. I get the feeling that BMW laughs with you when you don't have the money to go full spec/option on a car. Have you seen the cockpit of the in betweener version (nav plus package)? Why are most basic options locked behind a paywall? They are supposed to be more luxury and then get caught on cutting corners in the interior more than cheaper brands. When in fact, you are already giving up lots of space when going to a 3 series/A4. Weird stuff..
I would buy this then change to some m sport body kits bcos i like 330i exterior 😬
Yes that's a good way. But these original kits are not cheap, very quickly you will realise you are approaching the rm40k surplus the 330i charges

honest review about the glare Bobby... Can you also do an interior 'plastic creak' tests on recent cars? Looks good until you press with fingers the creaking noise is really annoying
The comfort access 2.0 don't work well sometimes it don't sense the key fob but the rim on 320i look way better than 330i
How does the interior quality feel compared to a much cheaper but Made in Japan Mazda 3?
It's about 300 times more comfortable than the Mazda 3. The Mazda has a lot of touch points that feels nicer to the touch, the Mazda's rear seats are useless compared to this one and overall this is still worth 80k more than the Mazda for the size, the comfort, the power, the technology.

Even the F30 beats the W205. Like 've said, the W205 is flawed without the footrest. But C200 feels more expensive inside by design. As for ride quality, it has been updated well and gppd enough, but sound proofing is still poor for the C200.
How do you enable that digital speed needle?
Controversial opinion but from the angle show in 13:38 , it might even have a nicer face than the 330i M Sport. Best for me would be the sport line front and the m-sport rear with sport line tyres (These tyres anyway)

bought the 330i and loving it. the ride comfort is my only complain, too damn bumpy lorr. but I love the M sport exterior with some M performance goodies 😍. and not to mention the performance 🥰
The power alone of the 330i is already worth the RM40k, let alone the M Sport bits that's probably worth another RM40k when added up. I'd buy the 330i and change to adaptive suspension from third party vendors haha

Yes it does. The speedo meter and the little screen that shows the temperature/degree Celsius turns orange during night time, in normal mode. While eco mode n sport mode is in blue

@bobbyang hello, I would like to know if the 320i m sport fitted with the adaptive suspension would it be the best all rounder car afterall?
Actually the 320i suspension is very well judged. Unlike the 330i's M Sport suspension which is too harsh. I think the 320i needs the nicer LCD speedo because the analogue ones looked too ugly and basic.

Spec on the 320i in MY is really quite bad. Analog dials and the worst part is that it’s still running on ID6... Better spec-ed here in SG but with a price to kill too 😂

But many owners pick this over the 330i solely for the better ride comfort
Both cars are using the same dampers, only difference is the ride height

It's not like the F10. The fonts, the detailed design, the little finishing touches of the F10 pseudo LCD is much better executed than this.
Can review the exterior of New Honda City and BMW G20 in da future boss?... Both in Sunset Orange color and compare the rear tail light design.. LOL

Not entirely. 3 series is still a 3 series. Passat may be better on day to day, but come weekends, mountain roads. Ehem... hahaha nothing out ther matches bmw's driving feel in the twisties apart from porsches and above ..
@@BobbyAngmalaysia yup understand used to own a 07 e60 523i before, yup amazing handling and straight 6 sound...and the touch scan for the radio stations and comfort access, started with the e60 as well..to be honest, if i am looking to change to another bmw..would not mind the 320i..as it comes with parallel rims...but my only only beef with CKD BMW in malaysia..poor build quality...panel gaps are still not even...and dealers, especially like AB are not even making an attempt at rectifying this issue...hence am disappointed and have moved to Lexus for my highway cruise duties and for weekend twisties routes..have my 9n3 polo gti..and am happy..
Tbh, I will not really take advice of car journalist in the serious manner. some car journalist advise b4, persona is the car to go if compare with city full spec. but driving both cars, that rm30k difference can be felt in term of refinement. Ok back to passat vs 320i. more expensive cars will not neccessarily be faster, but it will definitely feel way 'refine' compare to cheaper cars. So sir, if u in the midst to buy passat or 320i, choose bmw. U cannot create the refinement outside not like engine power.
@@rabbitcat5371 noted on your comments, imho sorry to say, having owned a ckd bmw e60 523i, i do admit that the driving dynamics of a bmw is good, but panel build fit and finish, misaligned panel gaps, wilting interior plastics...is a real disappointment...even in 2020, walk into any bmw showrooms and take a good look at the migsaligned panel gaps on the ckd 3 series, 5 series, x5 and 7 series...truly appaling....And due to this disappointment, i got rid of my bmw and am currently driving a lexus and a vw polo gti...honestly until BMW Malaysia gets in build quality issues sorted...am not looking to buy a CKD BMW anytime soon....

Sounds like the engine is already NA. They took out the turbo. That's what most 2.0 engines are supposed to make.

Agree the interior isn’t the best but then again the interior has never been BMW’s strongest suit. Test drove both the 320i and 330i and they both put a smile on my face. I’d have no qualms foregoing how the interior looks from the sheer driving pleasure I get from these things.
@KL Cassidy except they don't "act" rich, they ARE rich as the"base" model of this G20 is already quite steep in pricing, with that money , you'd be better of with a Volvo xc40, which is only 3k more expensive than this n u get an suv, class leading safety equipment, wayyyyy more power and a reasonably fashionable ride, the only thing u have to consider is the brand image of a Volvo, which is still not as strong as a BMW. but then I have nothing against this 320i , it's still reasonably good looking, an OK amount of tech and a strong brand image...but if it was me, I would definitely go for the xc40 , or the c200 AMG line for that matter.....
