You should consider getting a hammock and tarp instead of a tent for places like that. Off the ground stuff. It would also conceal you if you get green tarp and hammock
Top bonkers film Lad. When I was a lad 60 odd years ago there was no Chain Bar roundabout just steam trains chugging up what is now the Spen Valley Greenway and a cross roads nearby. Could hear the engines working from our house......now its just the drone of the crap motorway. Central reservation ont M62 next ? Your Calderdale Way film hooked me into your channel. Get the Kirklees Way done next......just as good. Keep up the good work.
There is actually a footway that runs alongside the roundabout - with a pedestrian set of lights on the other side of the roundabout as well, I was dying when I watched the unsubtle dash over. Top video though - fancy doing any more I can think of a couple of other good roundabouts to try this one!
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors it's not everyday though you'd expect a footpath to just flit from one side to the other is it! If you want some more ideas of places to try I was thinking of one nearby as well...
I used to cycle to chain bar on my way to work. I once went round it on my mountain bike. Never again. It was mental. Used the foot path around it after that.
Best outdoor/camping/hiking channel on RUclips. Your videos are class! Them green beans are grim, my wife eats that rubbish as a salad, but then again she is German.
I like the references to the police as 'rozzers' and 'bizzies' As a former police patrol officer, if I'd got sent to you, I'd have had a cuppa with you mate, had the crack with you and helped you pack up your stuff. Great fun.
If you want to camp on a roundabout and not get noticed, don’t wear camo, wear head to toe hi-vis including hard hat, no one will report that, I doubt the police would even stop, put all your camping gear in a large tool box on wheels job done 👍
At the junction of the A38 (Derby to the M1), A610 (Ambergate to Ripley) and B6441 near Ripley in Derbyshire, there's a very large roundabout that is under the A38 dual carriageway. I often use that junction and the centre of the roundabout seems totally overgrown. Must be a real haven for lots of wildlife. I've never stopped to explore, but there is parking a little way down on the A610 towards Ambergate. I've never noticed any fencing. Perhaps one day.....?
Greetings from the states 🇺🇲 I couldn't help to think with all the beautiful country side and hiking trails in the UK you put yourself in the middle of them noisy highway turn arounds 😮 Oh well but that is a nice pair of kicks you got there tho!
Nice one mate 👍 you are definitely growing in confidence 💪 those green beans are the most likely thing to get complaints 😂 stay safe mate and God bless 🙏🙏🙂
Love a good stealth camp myself.....I prefer a tarp and hammock set up to keep you off the ground. Last one was in Bristol, just above the gorge with a view over Clifton suspension bridge. The only problem I have with camps like this are the constant traffic noise and all that pollution.......diesel fumes are no joke mate!
I don't understand this stealth coping on round abouts or public places , good on ya if enjoy it but for me it's the peace of being away from people and traffic , loving ya videos mate
Liam, I've only just picked up your channel, probably because of the stealth tag. Like you I've been around that roundabout 1000s of times - I'm near you in Birkenshaw so will give you a wave if I see you on my walks and bike rides buddy. Still laughing at 05:20 😂
Love it! I like the no nonsense Yorkshire approach 😉 This vid appeared on my feed (cos I’m a subscriber to Grizzly Gaz’s channel). I love stealth camps and a roundabout to boot! I’ve subscribed and now I need to work my way through all your other videos. 😃 I like the Volvo btw. You’re right, they’re like tanks. So solid. I’ve an older diesel Volvo and it’s the best car I’ve ever had. Some Scotland trips would be epic, up into the Cairngorms perhaps.
Thanks mate, keeping it real in the north 👍🏼 I’m gonna look into doing a few more Stealth Camps so I can drop them into the videos from time to time as I know a few subscribers came from my roundabout camp. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the videos. Yeah loving the Volvo, gonna go to Scotland next month 👍🏼
I couldn’t decide whether or not you were going to get caught hahaha! Not many people can say they have camped where you have! Gorgeous bit of grub that (medium rare allllll day for me too) and unusual but sick drone footage bruv.👊🏼
Yea tinning some foods is just made of wrong and string beans are one of them that don't fare too well, texture and colour can be a right mess with em. What you may want to do though, is create a good stealth tucker bag instead of bringing the larder with you. As to a good beef steak, I like em between Black&Blue to Rare. Got to have a rather hot pan, toss the meat on, smoke in your eyes, flip the meat, more smoke in your eyes, and onto the serving plate.
Southeast of where the M1 and M25 Intersect might be a good spot. I ran through there the other day. You basically go through a tunnel under the m25 then over the spaghetti bit on an elevated footpath - i was trig bagging.

true that
Right, so you watch stuff on YT that you don't like then, piss and moan about it in the comments. What an amazing contribution to society you bring...
Everyone should spend a night camping on a roundabout at least once in their life. Getting bevvied, frying up a steak, living the dream.
