I remember him saying he didn’t sound like nobody.:) The way he literally produced and arranged music to make cover songs his own was amazing. He was a Phenomenon we may never see again in our lifetime. Without all of these different forms of media back in the day, I don’t think he ever really knew just how big he was across the globe.

Take 1 is pretty hot. They seem to be grading perfection. A lot of his songs sounded the same along with the themes but they were all different. Go figure. Then comes along a diamond that sparkles even more. Usually the takes that don’t work were due to backing guys.
The thing that people don't understand or either don't know is that Elvis recorded this song twice the first time he recorded under his real name and the second time he recorded it under the name Vince Everett the name Elvis played in Jailhouse Rock and remember Elvis was managed by Colonel Tom Parker who is a very weird businessman who was an illegal immigrant from another country who would do anything just so he didn't get deported back to the country he was an illegal immigrant from and this wouldn't be the only time Elvis record songs under an assumed name
Awesome performance by the king as usual. This is one of my many favorites, So unique like nobody else can. Though there's so many talented impersonators he always stands like the best ever. I checked about a year ago a British young kid about 17 years old on those videos, he is older now, but I was really impress by the way he makes that effort to keep the king alive in our hearts. This session took place at 3:00 in the morning. Yet the rest of the band were exhausted. So this record employs 2 drummers: Buddy Harmon and DJ Fontana -- Elvis' drummer on the road. They had to call in an extra dummer to increase the energy for the record. DJ Fontana knew the right rhythm for Elvis; a snappy shuffle. He played to perfection. The drum solo at the end of the tune was DJ. He was amazing in those days. Nashville's A-team... Played on more records than the Wrecking Crew, and could deliver what the song needed at any time. Multi-million record selling band. I was proud to know a few of them and hear their stories.
