"how many times have you watched this?"
"Yes."
Relatable beyond explanation!
As for me I' m listening to Elvis from 1960-s..😊
LONE TIME GUYS and more years to go
Triple digits, and growing everytime I come across it! Which is everytime I open RUclips, it's always in the top row, and anywhere else I see it. Just cannot scroll past without watching at LEAST once!🥰😍😘❣️
the limit does not exist
68 Elvis is untouchable.
Two more likes to your comment, then you'll also reach to touch his era 😊
Just realize, this is all before auto tune, an UNREHEARSED live voice and emotion packed performance. No one will ever surpass these 3 minutes of pure excellence.
Well, all true, except for the “unrehearsed”. ;-)
@@pedroribeiro6078 A lot less rehearsal than you might think. Elvis wants to stand up and use a guitar strap, but Scotty didn't even have one. If you think Elvis needed rehearsals to do this, then you're missing out on what Elvis was...a natural phenom. What he did here could not be done by any Beatle or Rolling Stone or Rod Stewart or well take your pick.
This was his dad's favorite number
@@grandmasbabyledesma1266 One of mine, too.
@@donjennings9034 You mean his natural talent, his creativity and spontaneity. But Elvis rehearsed most of the songs of the Comeback Special. Some songs from it are on CD. Also Elvis practice every day, mentally and vocally. He said that on an interview in 1972 for Aloha From Hawaii Concert 1973. Also all the hours of Las Vegas rehearsels every year. Plus Elvis sang every night after his Vegas shows with his backup singers. You can not say that he did not prepaire or rehearsel with his band and backup singers to keep his voice in shape. The entire band and backup singers were very good in balance with Elvis, because of all the hours and hours of rehearsels, but despite it, they all had to watch Elvis exactly what he will do next with his spontaneity. You can see it on the many live videos on youtube.
Imagine how many views this would have if RUclips had been around since 68.
If it had been I'd have spent every waking moment watching Elvis on it! The first thing I did every week was scan the TV Guide to see if an Elvis movie was on, there were only 2-3 a year aired, and 2-3 new ones at the theater or drive-in. Seeing that one was coming was better than Santa to me! I didn't know then that Col. Tom didn't allow him to do talk shows so I would sit through all of them hoping he would be a guest. Every year I watched the entire Jerry Lewis Telethon hoping for a glimpse, the closest thing that happened was once Jerry announced a $5000 contribution from Elvis, hearing that kept me watching & hoping. I was fortunate enough to finally see him live 4 times in concert and I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything in the world.
this is prob my fav live thing he did just pure Elvis
Elvis..Still here in 2024..listening to this masterpiece..exhilarating 💫we remember you ELVIS 🌟anyone else?
I am
My God this man was gorgeous ❤ The leather suit, tan skin to perfection, beautiful smile and overall sultry look. He could fit into any era and own it. Gone but NEVER forgotten ❤💞💙
You said it. I keep noticing that absolutely perfect nose, for some reason. Every bit of him was just stunning. And the talent, charisma and humanity were no less gigantic. What a perfect human.
I'm a alpha male and I even think he was gorgeous. Any man that says he wouldn't want to look like this is lying. The man was awesome.
The WORLD agrees with you ‼️🥰🎵‼️
he has fit in to all era`s,
Amen to that! Well said!❤
I can watch this man for the rest of my life 💗💗💗
I've watched him all of mine since I was 5, that's 60 yrs and still counting for all the rest of it!🥰
No Autotune. No backing tracks. Just a fantastic voice, pure talent and charisma for days.
Elvis came back in 1968, but really, he never went away. He is forever.
This has to be the best-looking man that ever lived.
Yes!! Perfection! ❤
No doubt! No one else has ever come close!
Every woman wants this.
And every man wants to be this, but there was only one. The King.
After watching this, I need a cigarette, and I don’t even smoke!!
I do not possess enough vocabulary to explain why this is the EVEREST of live musical performances.
This is not an entertainer singing a song, this is Music Made Man.
1 man vs 4 beatles.no competition 🤣the king!
Indeed and i love the Beatles too
Had not performed in front of a live audience in ten years 🤯
Also, eat my dust John, Paul, George, & Ringo
Promoters: "Elvis, you just did the first live unplugged concert in history!`
Elvis: "I did what? Thank you, very much."
Greatest 3 minutes singing performance ever. Absolute magic
Agree 💯 ❤
at end of this show he sings, ] If i could dream or something like that]
that was even better than this. i would have to put unchained melody
the righteous brothers on the andy williams show up with these also.
This is the real Elvis
ELVIS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A vlogger said he can perform a concert while doing a photo shoot at the same time. He surely can
Lord have Mercy... this man was incredible.. wow.
No other man can ever be that beautiful ❤️💕❤️
Ýes l agree. He was the most beautiful man ever. Just imagine what it was like to even be near him in real life. They say that when Elvis was in the room... there was no one else but Elvis
Seeing RUclips promote Elvis merch under the video but stopping and thinking….🤔 “is the colonel behind this” 🙄After watching the movie 😂
My Gosh, this is the most handsome sexiest man to ever live
He is really knocked it out of the park at that 68 comeback
Had it all man
Dang I am straight , but when I see a man like this ; I can say 'this a good looking man !!!
Omg what a handsome .man
Holy crap! I can understand why all the ladies screamed 😱
Hard to believe he's been gone for longer than he lived. Sad day
Pay attention all you wannabees...this is what perfection looks like.
Absolutely ❤❤
What sexy looks.
Exactly!!!!
no one could be better than the king!
So true!!!❤
He will always be The King
I can wrap my head around the fact that he died 9 years later that crazy
Elvis was the most talented person that ever sang a song. The 68 comeback is still the greatest concert ever recorded.
Elvis has sung a song for every emotion I've went through in my 76 years on this Earth I miss him
...and it was led by perhaps THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAN GOD ever made!!!
😊@@TakersMissy
Am still helpless every time I hear/see it‼️🌟💋🇺🇸
I'd agree with that because the years of doing bad movies had stripped him of his confidence and raw talent. He was so nervous before he went out there and you could see it clearly. But you also saw a man rediscover himself and get back to what he was born to do
Man they broke the mold after Elvis... One of a kind and never duplicated
This is why live performance can be more exciting than studio recordings, playing for a live audience brings out the intensity in the performer.
Blackberry Smoke's live shows blow the album out of the water! Some bands just do it better in person
@@shayh.3556 No doubt about it. That’s why Leonard Bernstein insisted on live recordings in his Mahler symphonies.
My 9 year old son and I have bonded over Elvis.
I first saw this when I was about 16. I'd always liked 50s Elvis, but was hesitant about his later works. This clip changed everything. I swear I sobbed when he broke into that first bridge. His energy just tears me apart. He's tender, yet commanding; mature and a seasoned performer, yet echoes of his 19-year-old self come through. He had everything in a way that nobody will again.
No one passed, present, or future will be able to match what this man brings.
The sexiest ever and forever!
The sexiest human God created
God was showing off when he made Elvis.
Him and James Brown were definitely equals
@@emilymichalski324 Very unique personality, Elvis penned, you can't compare whit anyone
Vanity is a sin, so it cannot be ascribed to G-d.
Good one! True!
@@emilymichalski324 you people take stuff too seriously. Goodness
Love Elvis. His '68 Comeback Special was absolutely incredible ❤️
He had to show these Brits who was the one and only King of Rock'n'Roll.
Elvis wir werden Dich immer lieben!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
omg ive wanted to be him since i was 7 in 1973 and still still still amazed by him
No one comes close to this man's talent. Undisputed GOAT of music
Couldn’t say it better myself 👑
No special effects needed,. Elvis is the special effects!
One of the very few vocalists (in all genres) that could make his live better than his studio version.
I hate drugs. This guy was the real deal. If he'd have lived and stayed off shit, he'd still be kicking ass...
can't feel music better than Elvis....
The greatestporformance of all time raw perfection
It will be 46 years in August and he still takes your breath away. Nobody then or now comes any there near him 🔥💋😍♥️👑🔥💋😍♥️
I wish yt kept a counter so I could know the absurd amout of times I've watched and listened to this song
Lucky people who were there
Damn. One of my favorite Elvis clips, where his charisma and amazing voice shine through unfiltered.
Best live performance in rock history. God bless you and yours Elvis. I pray you're with the Lord.
This guy was put on this earth to perform folks.. it's as simple as that.
Elvis had a point to make that night . I think he succeeded in getting it across
One of the best live performances by anyone anywhere ever.
Mm
Amen
You know it lee boy 🙌👏👏
Facts.
Lucky you I'm envious
A man among only a few that could walk into any era of time and be the coolest guy there.
This made me smile. How right you are.
Can't believe I'm lusting over a dead guy
So True. And I am
Correct! Elvis wrote the book on cool!
Too bad only 42, in 1977, I was 18 older sisters, bros made sure I loved Elvis whole life, recently saw things his ex said I don't believe, after he's been gone so long
Good Lord this gorgeous gorgeous talented human You created!!! Wow wow wow!!
No words could do this justice....but just to call attention to one small part of this performance...the passion from seconds 53 to about 1:04 is genuine and a searing example of the feeling that he brought to his songs, but at 1:05 that playful smile shows he could turn it on at will. We the audience were always in the palm of his hand, just a toy for this performer.
The guy was called the King for a reason
It’s not just a song , it’s an experience. Only he can do it.
So true!!
Well said! And so true!! ❤
You would have to peel me off the floor at the end of this if I was in the audience. Elvis, gets my heart racing like no other.
@@annieschlater1534 you and me both!!
@@monicajones5816, ha ha, we could have kept each other company whilst lying on the floor in a daze!
Probably his best song, from his best album, his first.
Omg he is so good looking! And has an amazing voice!
I've been traveling over mountains
Even through the valleys, too
I've been traveling night and day
I've been running all the way
Baby, trying to get to you.
Ever since I read your letter
Where you said you loved me true
I've been traveling night and day
I've been running all the way
baby, trying to get to you
When I read your loving letter
Then my heart began to sing
There were many miles between us,
But they didn't mean a thing.
I just had to reach you, baby,
In spite of all that I've been through.
I kept traveling night and day,
I kept running all the way,
Baby, trying to get to you.
Well if I had to do it over
that's exactly what I’d do,
I would travel night and day,
And Id still run all the way,
Baby, trying to get to you.
Well, there's nothing that could hold me
Or that could keep me away from you
When your loving letter told me
That you really loved me true
Lord above me knows I love you
It was He who brought me through,
When my way was darkest night,
He would shine His brightest light,
When I was trying to get to you.
You got some wrong
Absolute perfection. It's hard not to watch this 100 times over and still want to watch it 100 more. ⚡️⚡️TCB⚡️⚡️
TCB!
I had to watch this at least 250 times easy
I will always adore this special. He was that raw, holy moley, hillbilly cat again.
This is what happens when you are fully aware of who you are.

The irony! That hairstyle is in again 👍 I grew up with men with long hair ❤️
I am ready for new style hair men....no beards
I absolutely love this song. Once Elvis sang a song he owned it. He is still the best.
This kind of cool actually existed.
Yeah....and its a good thing motion picture recording capability existed then .....because we'll NEVER!!! see anything remotely close to him ever again....EVER!!

I really loved Elvis and I dont understand why all the people that didn't appreciate his music. . . Because his voice was really awesome. Hope you like his songs too.
He is so great, no one compares to him
Austin Butler did a fantastic job in the movie.
He’s giving 100 percent. Great R & B.
So much emotion in under 3 minutes! The King indeed.
Magnetic. This was a glimpse of what took the world by storm in 1956: The power, emotion, passion and sincerity. A brilliant move by director Steve Binder to notice the raw energy of Elvis' backstage jam sessions and capture some/most of it on camera.
sexiest song ever
This is how I will remember him.
The whole „package“ only existed one time, only in one person called Elvis!
I'm a Man
And must say which I have never said before. This man is what you call PERFECT!
The new movie bought me here and turned me into an instant fan, I've been missing out all these years.
Keep coming back to this clip. Raw sexual electricity running thru his body in this song!
This is one of the best performances on this world I know. Not even the new Movie catches this one up.
When Elvis sang, you could tell he sang TO each person. That’s an impressive thing by itself and a rare gift among performers. But he went further and sang FOR us. He reached down into the place where human beings FEEL, pulled those feelings up out of us, and sang to the rooftops what was inside. Simply put, when Elvis sings the blues, he sings mine away.
Presley's favorite tune of all time.
Elvis showing everyone he still had it in him
no one could ever come close to Elvis. such a raw and perfect performance. the one and only king of rock and roll. miss you forever 🙏
His voice was straight from heaven.
The more I watch elvis the more the tears come to my eyes the best there ever was
Can't help but comment again.love this guy.tragic loss
I don’t think I have ever seen a better performance by anyone. Wow 🤩
The first unplugged concert. Elvis felt comfortable and inspired jamming with his original band members. You can actually see the spirit move and release out of Elvis. It was also one of Vernon Presley's favourite songs. This is otherworldly, raw and regal.
It is otherworldly. There is something absolutely primitive AND divine about about him when he sings this song, to the point he cant contain himself halfway through.
I've watched pretty much everything there is to watch about Elvis and there is no other filmed archive that comes remotely close to this performance.
If you listened to his works carefully..his voice was so powerfull ..the tones he hit like nothing.. was haunting
Even when he was alive he wondered why was he handed this god given talent he mentioned it in.one of his songs
Untouchable! Elvis is simply the best of All times!🎤🎼💞💞🎶
Not unplugged. You can hear electric guitar chords at very end. i mean hes plugged to little distortion
Now after the Elvis movie the real Elvis family becomes richer.
those ladies didn't know how fortunate they were to see and hear Elvis in person
Like he’s been beamed in from another planet. Bless him.🙂
Oh my God, he is truely the only man that can take my breath away! My heart hurts right now 😥
So handsome. I grew up right down the street from Graceland. He would be out side riding his horse, motorcycles or something. The sweetest person.
I read that Scotty and DJ hadn’t seen EP for a long time prior to this concert and only came back to do this just for him. Tom Parker had cut them out of EPs life before this and also after , don’t think they had any contact with him from this iconic moment up to his untimely death. Is obvious to see how happy he was to be back with his original true friends
