Do you know what love is at first sight? I met Fats Domino last year because of rummaging sites about Elvis and seeing how much Elvis Presley admired this guy, Fats Domino. Watching this video, I found the second most beautiful man I've ever seen in life, after Elvis Presley, because Fats Domino's facial expression as he sings has a very large glow in his eyes and shows true love for music, that's why he's so handsome. Hugs from Brazil to those who have uploaded this wonderful video.
I was fortunate enough to see "The Fat Man" play live in 1986 here in Seattle, he was truly awesome! As an encore he literally belly-bumped his piano across the stage as he sang and played, not missing a single note! Outstanding.
Every time I saw him play he looked like he was having so much fun. He stayed married to the same woman and had 8 kids what a good life he must have lived R.I.P.
What a lovely sentiment with regard to Elvis. I I know Elvis admired Fats greatly. Fats was a tremendous talent with roots deep in early rock and delta blues. A national treasure.

He was an early musical influence on me musical. He was one of the 1st artists that I mimicked singing, danced to and he made me want to emulate a Rock and Roller as a singer.
This great man was trapped in the attic of his home during the flood caused by Hurricane Katrina. He was even thought to have perished, and people wrote "RIP Fats" on his house that he was trapped inside, alive and needing assistance! Finally, the authorities came to take another look. He was ALIVE! The next year he released an album called alive and kickin'! He was such a humble soul, not as angry as he should have been at being left stranded up there, but he was heartbroken at the loss of his momentos, a few of which were replaced by those with the power to do so. One was a Medal of the Arts presented to him by President Bill Clinton. He was saddest about that one: it was a new award and he was very proud to be an early recipient. Well, word got around that the medal was destroyed, perhaps through the President who originally gave him the medal which had been destroyed. Bill Clinton was on collegial terms with President Bush 43 at the time, and so he replaced the medal. But everything else was pretty much gone forever. Yet Fats Domino was happy to be alive!

First time knowing about him. Wow. That's one beautiful voice.
The first time I knew about Fats was when my dad took me in the 50's, he an Laverne Baker blew me away even after all these years I still think of that concert so long ago. Thank you both for the memories. Rest in peace God will soon bring you back to us in the new beginning. To make us smile again with your music.
