My mother has always loved him and especially this song. She is 81 and in her last few hours of life and I have been playing his music for her. The last time she showed any emotions was yesterday when I played this for her. I am thankful he brought so much joy to so many people especially this moment for her.
Mr. Domono is a person who got smiling face, voice, and particularly his eyes are so lovely and beautiful. It feels like my eyes are filled with gratitude to the Lord as looking at the blue sky.
Blueberry Hill by legendary singer Fats Domino is my all time favorite rock 'n' roll classic of yesteryears. This song bring back sweet memories of my childhood.
my uncles and family used to sing this song at Christmas Eve...they might have been a little drunk but were good...I was about 13 then.....long time ago. I miss those times. my mom and dad were the best. Merry Christmas Mom and Dad. I know you are looking down on this world tonite. God bless you all. We had a sears tape recorder and would record the songs and then….play em back and listen to the howls from those singers
@@Billy219Thats your opinion, i respect that, ive been into the Rockin scene since i was 12 yrs old, now 58, live the lifestyle, drive the cars and motorcycles and play double bass in a Rockabilly band, just love it, thats my opinion of it and i would never slag off any genre of music if others like it, apart from anything from the 80s onwards, which is not really music, no real musicians were around in that time onwards.
One of the greatest.... just listening to this reminds me of the good old days... whatever happens in life we keep the memories of when life was so much less complicated and easy...in memory of all my loved ones who died far too young... especially my dad my mum my brother my son....all died young but one day we'll meet again... love and miss you all... Keep the faith everybody...and remember the good times
So sorry for your losses, Pauline...! Fats Domino was an incredibly talented artist...his music will last forever in our hearts! Thanks for sharing your comment! Have a great day!
Absolutely- first heard this when l was about 15 going to school in East London. We all loved Fats together with other early rock n rollers. Now 80 years old and living in the Philippines. Reliving my school days right now - thank you whoever put this clip up.

I think the fifties & sixty's was the greatest eras of artist, songs & music! this music & artist didn't have to be doctored up to sound great! they were the real deal, & just had the talent.

I l-o-v-e Fats Domino. He is a one in a million. He seems to be such a sweet and humble man who is the real deal. His music has changed the world for the better. He has been appreciated more than he could ever know.
Wow.......just great. May Fats Domino rest in peace. This song is a gift that will live on but most importantly it is a testiment to an era which seem so distant because we live in a time and space in which we are incapable of producing those emotions and social dynamics necessary in order to compose, produce songs that will transend time and space and live on for ever. We live in deprevation of pure innocent and love....may god have mercy on us.
I am 55, and I had the tune stuck in my head from my adolescent years in East LA, tonite at 2 am the lyrics came rushing in... looked for it and founded. Love it.
Bona fide rock and roll legend right here. Immensly important figure in the birth and golden age of the music we all cherish. R.I.P. Fats we'll never forget you and the joy you always brought our way!
On this day in 1957 {February 2nd} Fats Domino performed "Blueberry Hill" on the NBC-TV program 'The Perry Como Show'... Four months earlier on October 6th, 1956 it entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} and spent over a half-year on the Top 100 {27 weeks}... And on November 3rd, 1956 it reached #1 {for 8 non-consecutive weeks} on Billboard's R&B chart... R.I.P. Mr. Como {1912 - 2001} and the great Mr. Domino turns 85 years old this coming February 26th...
