Ten Ton Hammer, son!!!
The More Things Change is definitely Machine Head's most raw album, you can just feel the seething rage and despair. The whole album is like this, I wish it got more love from the fans!!!
My favorite MH song is on that album, Violate 🤘🖤🤘
@@rachel.en3101bro Violate is a classic that switch up at the end is one of the end is some of the heaviest thrash I’ve heard in my life idc 🥵😤
Sempre amato.🤘M.H.🤘
Machine Head when they came out in the early 90s they were a mix of heavy groove metal and thrash. The first album Burn my Eyes and the second album The More Things Change were very different from each other. The third album The Burning Red went full new metal. That came out around 98. Do The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears next. Much more new metal sound but very Heavy
If you do that song, I recommend a live version!
@@wonkavision3The live versions are always awesome
Finally some Machine Head!!!! This is a super underrated song from a super underrated MH album, probably their most raw album. I highly recommend "Beautiful Mourning" from their mega-hit album The Blackening, I lose my mind every time I hear that banger!
Thats a really good request 🤘🏽
Machine Head has some killer tracks. You got check out the Darkness Within by them.
Holy s**t that was better than that 2 cup of coffee 😂. Great work out song.🤣
If you liked this, you'd probably like the other single from this album called "Ten Ton Hammer". This album is called The More Things Change, it's a very emotionally raw album and heavier than a ten ton hammer lol. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Machine Head is awesome! Would love to see more!
Dudes this is a dope track, glad to see you react to it. Check more from them, they have many other crazy songs
Robb and the fellas are Metal Legends. Love Machine Head. So many banger jams from these lads.
Ten Tom Hammer, son!!!
The cool thing about Machine Head is that many of their songs are relatable to those of us who've been through some 💩, "Wipe Away The Tears" was a song that had a deep impact on me after my mom passed away. It may be a deep cut but it's definitely worth checking out, that album Through The Ashes Of Empires was Machine Head's big "comeback" album and every single track is a banger!
They formed in early 90's late in the thrash metal scene and later kinda blened in with the new wave of metal and later nu metal so they pretty fall into the groove heavy thrash nu metal genres.... depending on which album you're listening to. I think Robb Flynn is the remaining original member. They kinda remind me of BioHazard. Definitely aggressive listening lol. I recommend any song from their first studio album Burn My Eyes.... Old, A Thousand Lies 🤘😎🤘
Those first two albums defined the 90s to me.... remember sporting a "Fuck It All" T-shirt on campus lol..... and to me that's where MH ended. They had released some materials with glimpses of quality through the years afterwards yet nothing will ever top the unrelenting, visceral and exciting times when MH meant METAL itself!🤘🤘🤘
Seasons Wither is a hidden gem in their catalog
Yas!!!
The guitarist with dreads is married to a singer in a metal band and he plays guitar for them as well. They are great as well band ONCE HUMAN song EYE OF CHAOS . She is gorgeous and badass underrated ! They also have a killer song with Rob called DEADLOCK .
Mushroomhead - sun doesn’t rise
The first 2 MH albums are classic. No bad songs on either of them. They went more nu metal on their 3rd album. Which is still a good a album.
Ashes and blackening are right up there with those 2! 🔥
@@romaretaylor9953 Absolutely. Locust is a solid album too.
Thanks so much for doing this for me guys.glad you liked it.
machine head are a rare breed in the sense that their 1st album was their best unlike other bands who peak around 4 or 5 albums into their career. their 1st album called burn my eyes was an absolute banger back in 1994 when it was released and in my opinion they have never topped it.
thanks again and stay safe in this crazy world.......
Damn, I was hoping to watch this video when it first dropped but I got sidetracked lol. I love catching your videos when they just dropped a couple of minutes ago, great video as usual guys! Please do Machine Head more often, they've got a ton of bangers in their discography!
This song live is awesome. That build up and drop - everyone is bouncing in the crowd.
There was beef between Kerry King of Slayer and Robb Flynn the leader singer of Machine Head because King blamed Flynn for the origins of rap metal as he called it. So I'd say that a couple of Machine Head records are definitely nu metal, but many of them are classic Bay Area thrash.
10:31 they didn’t get the nu metal sound until their 3rd album The Burning Red. The first album Burn My Eyes is straight thrash/groove. Their best album imo. The 2nd album The More Things Change is more groove based but still heavy as fk! I really enjoyed The Blackening as well 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Throught The Ashes of the Empire was an awesome "come back" album.
Fun Fact: The limited edition version of this album included a cover of Ice T's "Colors".
Their 2nd, 3rd & 4th album is definitely Nu Metal.
Wouldn't call them the origins though.
Thier first album 'Burn My Eyes' came out in 94 and was more Groove/Thrash (almost Sepultura like). It felt more like MH went with the trend.
They are from Oakland...good call!!!
Founding member of Machine Head, Rob Flynn, has a thrash-metal pedigree that is quite legit. He performed in the Bay Area thrash metal band Vio-lence which who's performing in the middle 80s and doing quite well for themselves. So when he reinvented himself with the whole new metal thing... it wasn't particularly seeing favorably by many of us. However, to his credit to dude is very talented a Survivor so you have to give him credit where it's due to successfully have continued on with his career once onepath it kind of fizzled out.
That entire album is absolute fire and is MH at their best.
The biggest underated metal band out there imo. Also super hard working and was super consistent on live streams throughout the oandemic and still does them now. Top notch band live. Their entire catalog rocks. Theres something for everyone for sure !
Check out "descend the shades of night"
Machine Head is a criminally underrated and often overlooked band. Robb Flynn is outspoken (especially around Anselmos reoccurring right wing bullsh*t, critiquing Phil to no end, rightfully )and does not mince words, maybe that has hindered them.
MH is the perfect blend of powerchords, groove and anger.
Dudes you all took too long to react to this classic banger but im glad you did. This is Machine Heads best records and loved this reaction. Please react to more from old Machine Head.
Machine Head are from Oakland
I like what they did in the 00' and early 10' a lot more. Check out "this is the end"!
Machine Head is one of the greatest bands to come out of that era and their new music is even better 🤘😁🤘
My Boys..street vibe is all Oakland, Ca. This is how we still do it "Why so heavy?" - Paul Baloff
Guys, i was born in Midland Michigan. lol My dad was born in Saginaw Michigan, which is near Midland.
I Love Machine head, please more Guys ✌🏽🤘🏽
Absolutely love Machine Head, would definitely check out Aesthetics Of Hate which came from The Blackening Album absolutely awesome album. A lyrical video or non-music video would be best since the official video is censored. Go figure lol.
This song is like Vio-lence and Fudge Tunnel had a child lol
Singer Rob Flynn catches alot of hell for jumping on trends and looks.
4:40 Hollywood you said metal but clearly meant music as you started listing non-metal acts as well 😂
Anyway, add on Propellerheads, The Dirty Heads, Talking Heads, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and you forgot Mushroomhead and Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. Oh are we also counting all occurrences of the word "face"/"faces", like The Small Faces and Face to Face? What about "skull"/"skulls", like Band of Skulls and Voodoo Glow Skulls?
Sicksense- Feed Them To The Wolves, please and thank you
Definitely need more Machine Head.
From this day is a good one to react to
I only wear chucks lol!!! Except for at work they kill my feet standing for that long in them haha!!😂
Locust!!! Another incredible Machine Head track!!! #machineheadforever
When they started there was some nu metal but by the time nu metal blew up they were doing a lot of thrash metal. And you got the vibe. It's Oakland not LA but still west coast. Peace out.
Burn my Eyes is the West side version of Biohazard!!!! On dope!!!
It would be awesome if you reacted to some Suicidal Tendencies songs! Could do Controlled By Hate, Possessed To Skate, Join The Army, Institutionalized, they have so many awesome songs!
"locust" next
Helmet: Meantime another band that was highly under rated
I always considered machine head to be 90s thrash metal but they did experiment a bit making them alternative metal
Try Amorphis : The Bee, Amorphis : Amongst Stars, Visions of Atlantis : Melancholy Angel !!! ❤ Please ! Peace bros !
Check out their cover of Ice T's Colors off this album, it's amazing.
you guys should really check out Jelly Roll Save me its a soul touching song country
Buckethead, Hed P.E., American Head Charge, Mushroomhead,... lol
gODHEAD is another 'head' metal band 🤘🔥🤘
Ten ton hammer, aesthetics of hate, now we die, volatile.
Morning fellas! Love this band! Check out "locust" it's a Kool song and video!!❤️🤓
Periphery let's go!!
Mushroomhead is one and they wear masks like Slipknot, but they are legit they kick ass
Mushroomhead! 😂
Incredible band. They just got better with age. Locust
Imperium
Halo
No gods no masters .🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘😈🤘
Phill Anselmo Jr
Check out "Spit it out by Slipknot"
I grew up loving MH. Until time happened. The lineup changes speak for themselves. Only 1 member remains intact. Robb Flynn. If that doesn’t tell you what you need to know about him, I don’t know what else to say.
React to "Machine Head - Ten Ton Hammer" please!!!
Sail into the black
Machine Head was more of a wannabe Pantera Groove Metal band before going NuMetal. By that time NuMetal was already around
What we originally called "nu-metal" was really kind of just a fad around the early 2000s. For every great band that came out of it, there were also a whole lot of lame white rappers trying to front commercial metal bands and it sucked, and it got way overdone really quickly. A whole bunch of bands did the same thing, they started going in the nu-metal direction, those albums are typically not their highest rated, and then they all did a comeback album where they got heavy again. Imperium was Machine Head's comeback song.
Remove Radiohead add Mushroomhead
Why remove?
@@mikethemotormouth of talking metal bands they aren't metal
@@SteveSmallwoodthemachine but then he also mentioned Portishead who are trip-hop. So while he said "bands in metal", clearly he meant "musical bands in general" as I mentioned in my own comment
Nah Machine Head not new Metal
I was a massive Logan Mader (the guitarist) fan growing up. I thought he was the best shit since sliced bread.
He's good people
