I tried all of these steps and even the trouble shooter finds nothing wrong. My voice isn’t detected at all, by the mic test or discord.

If you're also someone who's facing this same problem, please don't panic. I bought my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ITL6 yesterday and it was only until today i wanted to send a voice note to find a message popping up saying to connect to a microphone. I was puzzled because which laptop doesn't already have a built in microphone? Anyway, I just updated it to the final version of windows and now the microphone is working just fine. So the problem wasn't the hardware or anything. It was a software issue. Thankfully.

Guys, if you're still unable to fix the issue, try to update you windows instead. I just update my windows and now my microphone works perfectly fine for me

Yes you need to go to the settings of discord to fix that. i will try to make the video tomorrow 🤝

Hello, my computer's own microphone does not work, other microphones do not work either. I did all you said. Normally, when I test the microphone in Windows settings, it gets sound, but in applications such as zoom and discord, it warns that there is a problem with the microphone. There is no indication that the microphone is working in any of the microphone tests inside those applications. Can you help me? I am a Windows 10 user. Everything is up to date.

Still doesnt work. Ive updated and reinstalled the drivers. I bought a new mic and still nothing. The PC says the mic is in use but wont detect any audio input. Ive done EVERYTHING, checked the levels, mic privacy settings EVERYTHING. Why wont it work? It started right after using sleep mode. Dell XPS 8940, what a piece of crap!!!! Someone please help me I cant talk to my teammates.

Me it’s a different issu . When I plug my headset , it detects the output device but not the input . For more information I am using dell windows 11 desktop . I also have maxx audio pro and I think it could be a problem but I don’t know

Hello man I have a different problem where when I plug in my mic and go to control panel it still show a red going down arrow
What about a Microsoft process called rundlle.32 using the microphone. From my research this isn’t malware but is a necessary process that is always running in the background of the pc but it shows it’s using my microphone. Also I have a 3.5mm Trrs connection so it doesn’t show up as a headset or microphone in the audio set up menus and shows up as Realtek audio speakers. It always use to work now it doesn’t. Mic still works when I plug into Xbox controller. Idk how to fix this
Try Repairing Windows
Search cmd then run as admin and execute the following 3 commands one by one-
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Restart.
Once Done Trying Running System File Checker SFC Scan
sfc /scannow
Restart.
Windows Updates-
Install all the latest Updates and then Restart the PC.
For some reason I have to scream so the mic can work

any help ? my microphone on multiple of my headsets don’t show on input devices so I can’t talk but the headset does pop up on output so I can hear

I have rode nt1 5 th gen it comes with type c to type c cable
I bought it for that reason because i don't have interface
But the problem is that my pc has only 3.5 mm jack option for mics
And when i connect rode mic with type c to usb a converter

Hey there. I’m super grateful for this video existing as I hadn’t been able to get into the control panel and adjust those settings. My microphone is now working through the sound recorder better and I can hear it a little bit. The volume isn’t still full, even though I said it to 100% in the playback section. Any other thoughts on what this could be?
If microphone can be used in a different pc check if it's doing the same. Or if it's a built in microphone then try with different software
