Holy shit! You’re back! I’ve got a Z1. Your demo is the only good patches I’ve ever heard. I understand it’s incredible potential, and it’s digital modular ability to patch anything to literally anything else, but I have menu diving anxiety at the best of times, and the z1 UI is literally menu diving hell. I want it to go to a good home. To someone who understands, respects and will use it to its full potential. I’ve had it for 23 years. I’m in no hurry to let it go. Wouldn’t even know what to ask for it. But one day it’ll find it’s home. Your demo is what I always use when showing someone it’s ACTUAL potential. Cuz the presets sure don’t. Welcome back
I’ll say it again, slightly different this time, YOU inspire me to look beyond my imperceptive feeble understanding of what it really means to dig deep into synth patch design. Inspirational journey. It was so cool to hear some of your commentary in another video.
you outdid yourself on this. I have a Matrixbrute, and I don't get to spend enough time with it. So this makes me want to double down on the effort. It really rewards the user with time spent. I want to share some of my patches with you, to show how deep it can go. I've got a few patches that sound like 4 synths at once.
Jexus can make anything sound amazing but Matrixbrute is truly a lovely and capable beast, one of the most capable sounding monosynths out there! So many synths, so little space! I had to return mine to make room for Moog One but watching this makes me wish I had room for both! It's a very great sounding and unique synth. I love your videos Jexus!
Duuuude I love this video - the video editing its like massive attack... and the timing and the humor remind me of clowncore In the best way possible. The vintage feel in 16:9 video is on point! And notice how I haven't saod anything about the sound and that's because it integrates so smoothly i to the vvisual element that the whole thing feels like an exploration of consciousness rather than _just_ sound clips and that's what happens when you get it right. Awesome, I love it!

it’s funny because there’s actually a lot of crossover between the matrixbrute and the whimsical raps mannequins eurorack module line, i swear multiple times i thought “damn this is three sisters exactly!”
It's highly under-rated, I feel. Check out Kris Lennox using it as well. I think it tends to be more of a sound designer's synth, than anything. Once you hit the right spot, Boom!, and you're glad you did. I saw so many demos of this synth that just didn't do it for me, and I wasn't going to get it, but when I heard some exceptional demos it was clear to me that this thing wasn't getting the respect it deserved.
Having owned a voyager OS, LP tribute and MG-1, i'd take an MB over any of the recent moog synths. MB is like a city with freely available and intermingling utilities, use them as they can best be used - or move on and seek satisfaction elsewhere ;o)
