I met Chris, Edgar and Peter in early 1976 via my mentor- teacher Klaus Schulze...you bring up fabulous memories that wash over me in a most beautiful way. They have taken their musical genius into the Astral Sphere - where all this originated in the first place.
Loved every second! Of all the albums TD have released, these early ones are still my favourites. Sitting in a bean bag for hours with headphones listening to these, you wouldn’t have to be tripping for the music to take you on a trip. Very well done!

Absolutely stunning work, sounds are very good too. I have a Polybrute and will now go and attempt to try something along these lines and I know it’s not the same but I will give it a go after this superb demonstration of that beautiful synth
Thank you. I saw TD in concert only once, but met Chris Franke when he came to the Analogue Haven booth at NAMM in 2006 where I was demonstrating the MacBeth M5 synth. Steve Roach also came by.
A TD fan of 30 plus years this is a wonderful homage to there sound and style, well done! some moments got the hairs on my neck up! keep up the good work.
I've also been a TD fan for 30+ years. I spent some time chatting with Chris Franke at the 2006 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA. The TD members apparently had a hand in synthesizer development. (Franke insisted that Roland put cross-modulation on their upcoming Jupiter 8 synth.) I appreciate TD much more after working on this project. Sorcerer is a great soundtrack to, remembering listening to it on my friends dad's record player when we were about 17! That matrixbrute is indeed a brute of a machine. Enjoy.
Best tip I can give is to do what I did: Use a Riftmaster or similar device to record a few seconds of a TD sequence, then slow it down without shifting the pitch to learn and program the exact sequence. Finally emulate the sound used for the sequence and match the original speed on playback.
I have a Matrixbrute. I bought it 2 years ago. I've experimented with it but haven't even broken the ice yet. I made some progress getting my guitar heard through the filters. That took some sime to do. In the beginning I could not do it as explained in the manual. Later on I found a video here in youtube on how to do it. After taking some time off from pursuing that task, I was able to figure out how I can make the MB sound like I'm using a Boss pedal.
Most of what I have done is in split mode. When I got my Behringer 2600 Blue Marvin I set up the MB to control the 2600 using all the controllers and routed the audio output of the 2600 into the MB, bringing it in as the 4th oscillator. You are right about instructional videos on the MB; they are very helpful.

Amazing work here, this is a great homage to TD their melodies and sequences, this looks so easy but know how much practice this would have taken. I applaud you sir. And thanks TD for such a great back catalogue until sadly Optical Race. Love the base on Tangram perfecto....❤
Wow! Ive been wanting a synth that has this split mode sequencer! I was just about to buy pro 3 but as far as I can tell its sequencer is not designed this way, although a great synth and sequencer Thanks!!!

@@wedream2 Mini Moog is a classic. Due to this a lot of people (myself included) sometimes over revere Moog products. From what I have seen you display with the Matrix Brute it can almost do poly and it's sequencer seems very impressive too. I can't read or write music, and I struggle to play by ear. The only way I was able to figure out the sequences was with a device called "Riff Master." Thanks for the compliment. I haven't tried adding a Moog Sub 37 or other synth as you suggested. I do have a set up now where the audio output of my Behringer 2600 is inserted into the audio input of the Matrixbrute, and the sound is then brought in as a 4th oscillator on the MB. The MB also triggers the B2600, and there are numerous patch points (CV ins an outs) between the two.
I been looking for TD bass sequences in midi files but have found none. I find it difficult to transcribe by ear. I would pay for them if they were made available for download.
The sequence is a simple 6 note repeat. If C0 is the first note, then it goes like this: C0, C1, C0, G0, C2, G0. Use the stereo delay to create a syncopated effect. Then transpose using the keys.
Can you tell me - for Ricochet - is each key triggering a different sequence? The sequences sound a bit different between the keys you play at 4.36 an 4.47 - perhaps I'm wrong? But Ricochet does have different sequences triggered in real time at different moments - and you're doing it perfectly here. Just curious as yo what's actually going on - is it different sequences triggered by different keys, or is it just hte same sequence though and just sounding a bit different at different pitches?? Any insight appreciated. Truly fascinating!!
You can only run 1 sequence or arpeggiator at a time in split mode or any other mode. The real time controls allow morphing from one sound to another .
Hello wedream2: Here are the steps to download the patches: 1. Matrixbrute must be connected with USB to the computer that has the "Arturia Midi Control Center" application. 2. In the right matrix, the 256 positions of the Matrixbrute presets are displayed. Above the matrix is the [Recall to Computer] button. 3. Pressing [Recall to Computer] generates a new project in the left matrix, called "DEVICE" and synthesizer presets are copied to the computer. 4. The copy lasts about 1 minute and at the bottom you can see the progress bar. 5. Above the left matrix, there is the [Export] button. If DEVICE is already selected, pressing it will open the window to save the file in the computer with the extension ".mbprojz". I hope it is well explained.
I don't sell patches, but I'd be glad to share them. However, I'm not sure how to save them in a file that can be sent out via email. Do you know how to take a bank in the Arturia Midi Control Center and convert it to a SMF or other file for sharing?
Hillo wedream2!. From "Arturia Midi Control Center", you can export it to a special file (it does automatically), with extension ".mbprojz"; This file can also be imported from "Arturia Midi Control Center".
Bravo, really, excellent work! Too bad it was done on an Arturia with Arturia sound... . Everything in the high mids, dry, borderline aggressive, almost sizzling, very far from the roundness of the synths originally used by TD. The same on synths in the Berlin school spirit and it will be absolutely brilliant.
I had to cut the volume prior to upload to avoid distortion. What you are hearing is RUclips fidelity, not the actual Matrixbrute. This is a major problem with demos.

5. Above the left matrix, there is the [Export] button. If DEVICE is already selected, pressing it will open the window to save the file in the computer with the extension ".mbprojz".
I hope it is well explained.
If you tell me the email I'll send you the fichero with the patches. I will also explain the import process.
A greeting.
My email address is udream@roadrunner.com I'd like to be able to share a bank at a time since I haven't programmed all 256 patch locations.
Les arpèges de Phaedra et la mélodie de Rubicon ! C’est à retravailler un peu……….
Hi wedream2
!. Do you sell the TD patches?
I don't sell patches, but I'd be glad to share them. However, I'm not sure how to save them in a file that can be sent out via email. Do you know how to take a bank in the Arturia Midi Control Center and convert it to a SMF or other file for sharing?
Hillo wedream2!. From "Arturia Midi Control Center", you can export it to a special file (it does automatically), with extension ".mbprojz"; This file can also be imported from "Arturia Midi Control Center".
I could share with you 64 patches, different from the factory patches.
Yeah im intreasted indoor patches as well :)
Where do I find that file extension?
Encore?
There's more to come in another video.

1:11,
Bravo, really, excellent work! Too bad it was done on an Arturia with Arturia sound... . Everything in the high mids, dry, borderline aggressive, almost sizzling, very far from the roundness of the synths originally used by TD.
The same on synths in the Berlin school spirit and it will be absolutely brilliant.
Great sequences and playing.
Too bad of the weak sound, I’ve heard software synths with more power than this
I had to cut the volume prior to upload to avoid distortion. What you are hearing is RUclips fidelity, not the actual Matrixbrute. This is a major problem with demos.
@@wedream2 This sounds fantastic.
@@silverfunnel6819 Thank you!
480p? really? Didn't bother watching
Don't watch, just listen. It's all about the sound.
@@wedream2it’s in the name 😊 seek out the problems, miss the point…
