It's a good solid boat. Electronics run cool and turns well. The front is a little light but other than that it's solid. I haven't heard of anyone destroying one yet so that's a big plus. No broken hulls etc.
AquaCraft Atlantic II Tug but it's been discontinued. The float is 1/2 inch pvc and a couple of 90's and 45's and make it the dimensions needed to capture your boat.
Thanks! I'm not sure Bro. I think between 65-70mph could be attained with the stock prepped prop. This motor has 5hp so it will swing whatever prop you want to put behind it easily but the boat will be wanting to take flight as light as it it. I'll do more with it tho.

you are correct. I put 2" aluminum trim tabs on mine and it made a world of difference. I still have the batteries as far forward as you can go, but I could raise the prop about 5 mm. I set the tabs at flat with the sponsons to get the best balance - you still want for it to ride on top of the water. I'm getting alot more speed with this setup, but it comes at the expense of getting hotter (motor/esc/batteries) - so more cooling is now in order.

Thia cat need some more weight in the front ..its lifting too much ...thats why it flips. maybe moving the 2x 4 S forward 6-7 will help a lot. same issue with the sonicwakes. have to clip the batt mount and put the 6 s batt 6-7 cm forward with self adesive velcro. tape othetwise it will fly..the proboat design team should know better. also the 3/16 flex in my opinion is too weak for this size single cat with that big size 8 S motor . proboat will be selling lotssssss of replacement flexshafts !!!! business, business.
@@eduardonessim4499 Throw 8s and and a 5hp to most any lightweight boat hull and it could be a handful. I personally wouldn't own a boat that had a 5mm prop shaft because I like to use a wide variety of props and in the USA that isn't the case with 5mm. If I felt that I needed a larger prop shaft it would be a 1/4 size shaft and definitely not a 5mm one. That's just preference though.

I greased the shaft and went over the boat like I always do before I launch it..Well guess what I forgot to put the drain plug back in.. Also, had my Dasboata sonic 3 prop on there.. Ones I put in the water I throttled it and then ones I stopped all of the water ran into the boat, and Poooof 😡😡😡😡😡 my boat started smoking SINCE MY Dynamite 120A ESC must caught on fire b/c now my Hull is tweaked since it cooked my ESC.. I am lucky that it did not catch MY 2 Hard packs 3 s lipos since i WAS running it on 6s. If that would have blown I would have had the bomb squad over at the local park. I am looking to get a new boat,,, i AM not in it for speed - i am looking for something that will give me around the 50-60MPH range.... I am thinking either the Velez / Geico or this new BlackJack... I know you have done videos on all of these boats that I mentioned but which one do you like driving the best?

Trim tabs are mainly for V bottom monos. Don't ever see them on Cat's

That was my first ever run with the boat. Adding weight or strut adjustments and are a way to help with this.
Wasn't that the temperature of the cooler on the motor the motor is underneath the water cooler which is probably hotter than 99?
The end cap of the motorcitself was 99 degrees also.

My flex shaft exploded on the first run and I greased it and all.. just ordered a new (stock) one

Adjustments can help the handling of it for sure.
For $600 proboat and spektrum should sell a well balanced cat with a strong 5 mm shaft.

If I felt that I needed a larger prop shaft it would be a 1/4 size shaft and definitely not a 5mm one. That's just preference though.
@@MrMad2424 1/4 is good enough... but 3/16 is an insult to this cat . its going to brake very soon .sonicwakes brake them every day with a mid size 1900 kv motor....business MAD DUDE
this boat has 1/4 inch flex and .187 prop shaft.
Poly hulls will flip no matter what. Too light. Then will crack/break some place.
Fiberglass and carbon hulls will filp also and crack/break somewhere.

Thanks for sharing this BEAUTIFUL boat! How long were you able to run it on 8s ? Also, - Check this out #MRMAD2424, yesterday i took out my #Sonicwake 36 out for a spin.. I greased the shaft and went over the boat like I always do before I launch it..Well guess what I forgot to put the drain plug back in.. Also, had my Dasboata sonic 3 prop on there.. Ones I put in the water I throttled it and then ones I stopped all of the water ran into the boat, and Poooof 😡😡😡😡😡 my boat started smoking SINCE MY Dynamite 120A ESC must caught on fire b/c now my Hull is tweaked since it cooked my ESC.. I am lucky that it did not catch MY 2 Hard packs 3 s lipos since i WAS running it on 6s. If that would have blown I would have had the bomb squad over at the local park. I am looking to get a new boat,,, i AM not in it for speed - i am looking for something that will give me around the 50-60MPH range.... I am thinking either the Velez / Geico or this new BlackJack... I know you have done videos on all of these boats that I mentioned but which one do you like driving the best?
It will run about 4 min on 8s with no issues at all. Sucks about your sonicwake.
