black is unable to guard the d5 square with a pawn, it's an outpost which Liem's bishop was occupying, but he'd rather have the knight there as it'll have monstrous range on the board also expanding the kingside via g3-h4 is multi-purpose, one is that unusual maneuver of the knight via g2 to e3 (which eyes d5+f5) but he's also preventing Bg5 once the knight lands on e3 (that would let Black trade his worst piece for White's best one)
Liem Le is now confirmed not a cheater and can win magnus at 10. May be all GM need to play this before playing the real magnus, just to confirm they are genuine. The whole cheese world is in a dire situation because of the Hans cheating scandal.
