@@meliocurie1809 there’s no super gm title but it’s held for the gm’s that stand head and shoulders above other gm’s. The chessbrahs are incredible and amazingly good players but would get absolutely crushed (most games) by someone like Levon or Rapport.
@@NotElusivePanda I know but what do you consider super gm? Top 100 top 50 or top 20 or maybe even top 5 in that case only Magnus, Ding, Ali, Nepo and Fabi are super gm.
My boy is a true gamer, this was the most entertaining chess i've seen in so long, extremely enjoyable to watch. Very wholesome commentators and very very fun events. My boy got 69 moves and celebrated like a true gamer god on a gamer chair.
David is the biggest gift for any chess fan. He's a world class level and articulate on the same level. Just watching his commentary (thanks to both of his commentator and chess skills) can teach you more than hours of chess courses... true hero of chess world
Magnus age 10 is actually really hard makes me feel a bit better about myself that David was struggling at that age lvl. I''ve been stuck on age 10 for months.
The Joy of Chess! A truly memorable moment. Thank you David! Hope you will always keep that fun, youthful spirit. In today's world, we need more of that!
i loved a. how he made it seem double edged and like he was against the ropes the whole game when this was always completely in the bag, effortlessly b. the eyebrow move after he said 69
It mean Magnus at 10 years of age, so basically as the age increase the difficulty would increase. So, the computer difficulty is set something like around ~1600 rated player( Magnus rating at 10 years old)
He played 1. c3 I wonder why ;) Idk why but Magnus usually playing bad when white starts with 1.c3 It missed Bxh7 and against Simon it played so many weird moves in the opening after Simon's 1.c3 mouse slip
David's presenter style downplays how good he is. He's a borderline super GM and nearly qualified for the candidates at the world cup last year.
yes exactly ahah! He is so humble. But he is a beast and easily in the top 100
What's a super gm? top 20 top 50 or top 100 he's easily top 100.

He counted the moves 100% knew what he was doing

He he he…
you appear to have 69 likes
He thought he's getting 69 in the safest way
yeah he definitely wouldn’t go for that pawn push at the end if he didn’t see the win 😂 humble af
The brow flourish on 69 was immaculate
😂
You have 69 likes on your comment, I'll leave it like this
He's a total bro for that. One of us

5:10 'yaaaeheehhahaaa' David's paroxysmal groan was to die for lolol
69 moves my man had everything planed out from the beginning
So happy for David as you could see pure joy when he won and such a nice guy 🤙
Magnus age 10 is actually really hard makes me feel a bit better about myself that David was struggling at that age lvl. I''ve been stuck on age 10 for months.
Sometimes it's better to not think about how skilled a 10 year old could be at chess to keep your sanity.
I haven't beaten him at 15 all before that I've done
Age 10 is literally IM level and age 9 is a noob
He could have won in 30 moves or less
I could beat Magnus aged 10 easily.
But that'd put me in jail.
The eyebrow raise at the 69 meme. David is one of us!
David is a fantastic commentator. Clearly a good guy. And what a great player.
david howell's eyebrow raise after telling "69" moves
hands down David..the most loved Chess player and commentator...Thanks David .a big fan

what a beautiful team , you made love chess a lot , thank you all
I love how they tried to hide their laughter when she said 69 moves lol
Everything about this video was perfect.
The Joy of Chess! A truly memorable moment. Thank you David! Hope you will always keep that fun, youthful spirit.
In today's world, we need more of that!
These are the best chess commentators out there right now - really the right balance!
Come on go watch yasser and danya but these two are not inferior tho they have different styles
@@kotlet2612 Agree, Yasser is class
What a likable person David Howell is.
Truly a brilliantly entertaining and great game, quite unexpected !
69 moves …niiiice.
Truly the best game ever not just beat the world champion but also do so in 69 moves
David is genius.
69 moves, Genius!
David Howell. The voice of chess.
Awesome!! His reaction to winning was so good lol
Very good, 69 moves would be good even without victory :)
this cant be done without that gaming chair for sure
5:34 that eyebrow ahahahah
Seeing him beat "Magnus" gives me joy. It's like a boy living his dream lol.
David has a great personality in my opinion, and he's a great commentator as well as a great chess player
10 year old Magnus was around 2000 elo in classical. So beating him in 2 minutes requires much better than 2000 rating.
David was 2712 at his peak
David Howell is a strong GM (currently rated near 2650 and peak rating was 2712, so an ex-Super GM)
The way he celebrated at the end :D wholesome
You guys are so much fun! You go David!
So genuine, love it :)
David knows his stuff
i loved
a. how he made it seem double edged and like he was against the ropes the whole game when this was always completely in the bag, effortlessly
b. the eyebrow move after he said 69
My man looked at the board and simply said "Mate in 69"
Love the thumbnail 😂😂😂
Great initiative and very well done! :)
69 moves, dude has been preparing for this all his life.
This was a brilliant game to watch, and while I knew David was a great player I'd never actually seen him play. Very entertaining!
There should be a minimum payment for a win. It was an impressive win.
The emotion was real 🤣
the engine is a good display of ow good actually Magnus at 10 really was
I don't think this was really a challenge for David, but still well done.
David is just a fun presenter and obviously skilled likely would be top 100 player if he was serious
Is he not serious?
Magnus Watching: So you have chosen death...
Great game David!
Along with the spectacular game, this actually taught me some neat endgame theory about double-advancing pawns
I love 4:13.
“This is pretty safe.
This is... uhhhhh...
(Qh3)
NOT THAT SAFE!” 😆
lolllll. that 5:31 eyebrow move after "69" moves. lol.
that wink at the camera after he saw that he got 69 moves
That eye brow raise at 5:34 LMAO
good charity game. congratulations David.
He 100% did that on purpose. The way he reacted when he saw 69 is crazy
How can you not like David
"Actual Gaming Setup"
he really did clutch up at the end
Amazing victory, David. Wholesome video. Well done.
Skip to 3:55 for queen bishop Vs Queen knight endgame
Magnus 14-year-old bot: "Here I come"
At 14 he beat peak Kasparov, almost nobody has a chance against that.
Notice the cheeky eyebrow raise at 3:33. That's the reaction of someone thinking "lol 69".
Meant 5:33
He knows his math and calculation xD
69 moves aswell, icing on the cake
As 1000, i havent beaten 10ys old Magnus for a very long time
Actually it's very easy, just punch him in the face
Victory is guaranteed
David cracks me up.
Well done!
They should improve the layout of the play Magnus app!
Hey i am beginer at chess want to ask. That moves counted . Is that only David moves or with magnus 10 years move?
both, when white and black makes moves it counted 1, example. 1. e4,e5 2.nf3,nc6 . thats how to counted the moves
What a sexy number of moves Howell, Kaja was really impressed.
Its fun to see david Getting tensed🤣🤣
I'm laughing on the ground on this one, what an ending ahaha you could tell by David Reaction at 5:33
I cheered way too loudly for this 😂
David is the reason FTX went broke.
5:35 eyebrows saying what needs to be said
Fun! Thank you
Very nice, David!!
That feeling of victory is so unique with chess 🙌
Very intense game. Congrats David.
that was brilliant!
David “Screw The Kids I Beat Magnus” Howell
What a number he had...
can someone explain what Magnus at 10 means - is that a computer that mimicks one of his games from the past based on David's move. Thx

@@AyushSingh-xc1qp actually magnus rating at 10 is considered 2000 .

I am waiting for Magnus' comment :p Btw congratulations David!
He did comment after his win against Diren in the semis in the Charity Cup. 😊

What a game!
Hahaha that was so tough - 2 minutes - and told to make it really long and also check mate the bot! Wow well done!
If they let me play the game went by 200 moves still I couldn't able to win
Loving the victory bellow. LOL.
Nice number of moves!
