If you dig in four block hole, and then put a water bucket down at the second block in, the water flows out and you can enter swim and then enter the one block tunnel. You can then once you are past the water, collect it back up with the water bucket. Achievement access is maintained.
For those worried this does NOT disable achievements. That is farther below, under "cheats" Experimental features are exactly the same as regular survival with some added content that may or may not change.
You just need to create your world first, then save and quit, turn on experiments and return to a world. It doesn't affect long term worlds created before 1.20.

I tested these on two worlds, one on my long term survival world and one that is a newly formed world. It enables cheats when I tried turning on experiments in a new world, but when I go to my 3 year old world and edit the options, enabling the new experimental feature didn't disable my achievements. Like I said, there is a tendency that this may be a bug, or something that the devs are going to implement soon. I hope it's the former.
Unfortunately you actually can sprint sneak on java. You have to start sprinting before you sneak or I think you have to sprint jump and then sneak. I've tested it before.
My fast/favorite way to find diamonds right now is just searching through caves/tunnels. It is so much more enjoyable and you not only get diamonds but gold, iron, lapis, etc.

Word is they already knew about sprint sneaking prior to me making this video. Odds are they fix it, in which case, you just use a quickness potion as well, and continue to do the same thing.
I discovered this way to get diamonds long ago, before the swift sneak and the crawling feature, And i have a way to crawl without turning on the crawling option and losing achievements First dig a 1 by 1 hole in front of you Put a water bucket 3 block above you and take it just before the water touches you When the water touches you quickly dive into the hole you made This save your achievements its kinda hard to do it in first but you will get used to it
if you use the fancy leaf method to find a chunk boarder in bedrock and mine between 2 chunks you have twice the chance of getting diamond in general regardless of how you choose to mine
A lot of peopel think this, but it's not true. Your odds of finding diamonds are no different on a chunk border than they are in the middle of a chunk.
Fastest way i found is create a creative copy and turn blocks to glass and write down the coordinates, especially early game when i dont have any xp farms. The command i use is as follows: /execute at @p run fill ~10 ~10 ~10 ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 glass replace deepslate.
@@Prowl8413 All you have to do is place one water and swim into the one block gap. If you have depth strider on your boots you go extremely fast. The only time you have to pick up the water and replace it is if you accidentally break the block above or below you and go out of swim mode. Its what bedrock players have used for years as our version of crawling. :D

Water crawling sucks, you have to scoop the water back up, and there's a bug that doesn't let you scoop while in flowing water. It wastes a lot of time.

Its been like this ever since Bedrock edition exited, and has been used by people in lets plays and SMPs the whole time. The dev's already know about it, its just not important enough to worry about fixing... and probably runs the risk of breaking many other things in the process.
Having a world with achievements is about principle, not that you care about achievements themselves. Its the only way to prove 100% survival, if you have to sacrifice that then that's no different then going into creative.

If you chained a bunch of tunnel bores together maybe... I still think I could mine diamonds faster than a few of them, especially considering that you have to manually trigger them, collect the materials and run the farms to get the TNT in the first place, and periodically stop to fix issues with them, or clear out falling water/lava that may break them.
I cheat to get my diamonds and they caused me to do it. I use to get it the old fashion way but ever since they came out with that cave update, I end up with a whole double chest full of deep slate and like 20 diamonds. I'm sick of that so I've been cheating ever since and proud of it.
POV mine at -54 and lava will be at your feet (or belly) level. If you don't pay attention though, you may still take a swim in it. I recommend some fire protection gear. I have fallen in dozens of times while reading chat on stream. No deaths yet :p

I know this isn't the subject of the video but does anyone else think they need to make the parachute effect bug, that happens in creative when you come out of flying while wearing an elytra, a feature for survival. If you play using education edition you can give yourself the mayfly ability and teat it out. It's super useful and I think would make a great edition to the game. (In order to initiate it in survival you have to double tap jump while falling, so if you're already flying you have to close the wings then double tap jump. You slow way down, but can still use rockets.

Two days ago I was messing around and discovered this method but I was using the water trick to get into swimming mode. I have a feeling this method will be patched in the name of “parity.” So get your diamonds while they are hot before Mojang poops on our fun. 😊

I do this swimming method and if you have Depth Strider, you move so fast that insta-mining doesn’t work.

Not while sprinting, it actually makes you move too fast, moving you too close to the blocks and stopping the insta-mine effect.

This is the fastest way to get deepslate, since you are insta-mining it. So it works for that too! Just bring a few shulker boxes with you

U can use water for travelling in 1 block
You can also use a trap door... without buggy water crawling that takes more time to do.
A simple 10 block tunnet bore is much more effective.
