A higher polling rate can result in overcompensation when flickshooting.. Many prefer 500hz over 1000hz, though it is a prefference thing.. Wouldn´t go lower than 500hz for competitive gaming though.
Also for your mouse look up the “true dpi” of your mouse that the manufacturer tuned the mouse for. For example the g502 is made for 800 dpi, so you get the truest 1:1 on 800 dpi
Windows mouse settings *never* impact aiming in any modern game because games use raw input. MarkC is useless because when you disable mouse acceleration in windows, the mouse acceleration is completely 100% disabled and you can't disable it even more. Timer resolution is pointless because it doesn't change mouse polling rate (and it's the one & only delay/responsiveness factor of the mouse).
THANK YOU!!! ive been practicing my aim in kovaak and i was like this feels weird it feels odd and so i did a quick google search found your video and im doing 10x better with my aim thank you man
Windows sensitivity must be fixed in the middle position (6/11) to get 1x1 correlational movement input, not the 7/11 option as you said in the video. Also, it affects the game only if you are playing with raw input off, so if you are playing with raw input on, markC fix and windows sensitiviy/acceleration does not matter at all.
So i did all of this on my old version of windows but forgot to do this after i installed it on my SSD i truly realized how much of a difference it makes on my mouse while gaming thank you so much.
@@ChrisTrikollos He put it one tick too far to the right. @1:40 The first position on the far left is 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, etc. This guy puts it on 7 while the true 1:1 position is 6

I'm not deaf but I still respect and try to remember them, that is why I always type "Thank you for watching and your support have a Good Night"after every stream so the ones not hearing me say it can at least read it in chat. You are saying one thing and doing another here, no problem for most but always nice to show everyone some love and respect when it's so easy to do. You say put raw mouse input to "off" but you put it to "On" and then you just switch scenes. Try to be concise and very clear about the message you want to get across, both words and video should match up otherwise great video. I heard about that registry program but never used it so might give it a try. Do you feel it make a difference on your sense?
The windows settings are mostly correct, except for the mouse slider. He puts it on 7 of 11 as lots of people have noticed. The game settings are the opposite of what you should do. You don't use low DPI with high multiplication in software because it micro stutters. You should set the in game sensitivity low and turn the mouse DPI up.
So in your video, when you tell us to press the right arrow 6 times, that actually puts it to 7/11. The true 1:1 ratio is only pressed right 5 times, doing that actually puts your arrow on the 6th out of the 11 tick marks.
Thanks man! I was having trouble with fast mouse movements on my windows10 VM. No issues at all on Linux, but I changed the polling rate to the max on Razer controller (on Linux). That seems to fix it. Gaming just got much better. :D

I actually thought the mousefix registry thingy was a hoax but surprisingly, made me instantly realize this disabled something that helps accuracy, but default doesn't exactly feel like acceleration either, thanks :)
Improve your aiming and mouse precision by following my ultimate mouse optimization guide, this will ensure you get the closest to 1-1 100% Raw input aiming by applying fixes within windows, game settings and mouse settings to ensure you be as good as you truly are! - Panj
after uploading the mousefix, everything is ok, but when I turn off the computer and turn it on again, the program stops working. Then I must again add it to the registry and so on again
Tip: If you put your polling rate to the highest it will use more of your cpu, so if you are experiencing some fps lag in games I recommend you just use 500hz polling rate
I'm late to the video but holy shit man you have helped out my problem with my mouse since I upgraded. I will forever be doing this to every mouse whenever I reformat myself or someone's computer for gaming, very very helpful, subed, bell on, shared & liked. Thank you!
Panjno, why have i not found your videos sooner?! your rust optimisation video helped me big time! i haven't watched this one but seen my mouse in the thumbnail so will follow the steps for this too
i'm so confused actually rn, you counted from 0 to 6 which should be 7/11. So just curious if you said it wrong or is it actually 6 because if I look after it on google I find that 6 is actually the 6th which is exactly in the middle
set it to the exact middle, or drag your slider all the way to the left and hit the arrow key 5 times not 6 times. It should end up at the exact middle aka 6/11
>says to use 6/11 windows sens >sets it to 7/11 Also lower than 800dpi actually isn't recommended, higher DPI and lower ingame sensitivity results in smoother movement because the game is doing more individual movements due to the higher DPI
some games like left 4 dead 2 don't allow sensitivity settings lower than 1(if you set a sens lower than 1 in the console, it resets back to 1 when you open the controls options menu)
You should count the 0 as 1 in mouse properties, it lands right in the middle then. You have 1 pixel accuracy after doing so. 7/11 is way too fast for most users. I would Use 5/11 or 6/11, and adjust everything else in the game. I play with 6/11 and 400dpi, using a Zowie FK1+. Keep in mind every sensor is different. Here are some example's for good mice Rival 600,Zowie Fk series, Zowie EC series, Roccat Aimo. Lefthanded people can try FK series, or left handed edition of the Razer Deathadder. Iam lefthanded as well, so I know how tough it can be, to find the right mouse.
Using the front usb ports on a pc adds latency because the ones on the back are directly connected to motherboard and the ones on the front are connected to the case then to a motherboard header.
Unless the case has a USB hub, the ones on your case are just connected dirrectly to your motherboard as well. Motherboards have internal ports which the cases ports connect to directly. Unless your case has a USB hub built in (i havent seen any that do).
I really wonder how this is still really revelent or useless by 2018. These registry entries are from 2010 and haven't been updated since then, while Win 10 has got so many updates. All new games now use Raw Input and therefore bypass everything from Windows so they already won't have acceleration or smoothing. I also personnaly prefer to stay at the 6th notch under Windows but keep the box checked for browsing and using my computer, as anyway it doesn't effect games which aren't from the past decade. As for the (Timer Resolution App) I never really used it as it's annoying having to keep it open at all time. Why would you also reset it to default or close it when stopping a game rather than leaving it always in the background if it's better? Can anyone really notice the difference between 1.0ms and 0.5ms, I really doubt it so if it's all that trouble just for something barelly noticeable on paper... EDIT: I've checked and it appears that my system automatically put itself to 0.5ms as soon as I launch a game so as soon as the CPU start being heavily used so that utility is absolutely useless as I thought.
Well, I always say "never trust anyone that pretend to be a computer expert when he's got CCleaner on his desktop". Some games do have some problems with mouse acceleration, though, not every single game has been updated to use raw input, so maybe this (the registry part I mean) may help with them. I'm going to try it because there's some specific game that seem to have a lot of input-related issues causing all sorts of problems, like micro-stuttering (like Dead Island and Riptide).
Mate, I thought that this would be clickbait bullshit, but I can actually tell the difference, and it feels incredible. Thanks a lot, and for anyone having doubts, just give it a go! It really helped.
FOR WINDOWS 7 USERS, to check your windows resolution do the following: 1) Go to control panel 2) Click display 3) Look which DPI Percentage your selected 4) Leave a like on this comment

Use qBittorent not utorrent or bittorrent but QBittorrent and thats all.... you cant get more speed than there are seeds or your connection speeds via ISPs. Theres no optimization on speeds. Also in us and some EU countries its illegal to torrent so watch out for warnings from your ISP about shutting down your internet. Get a VPN if your in any of the countries where its illegal.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it better to use higher dpi and lower in game sens since technically in game sens is essentially just a multiplier of ur sens
yes and no, look into hat sensor you have and it's native dpi, and work from there, it's best to do direct multiples to avoid rounding in values, my g502 has a native 800dpi on the PMW 3366 sensor, so i play at 1600, meaning it's a direct x2 of native, easily done without rounding up or down when it's tracking, no "noise" because if i were to calculate to say 1800 dpi, i'd have that extra .25 multiple and it would have to round if the tracking values got really small (simply imagine the mouse has long values in tracking like 13.543934589, it doesn't multiply 2.25 as easy as just x2. back to settings, for games, i tweak it from there so i can make an easy 180 spin with the entirety of a comfortable flick with my wrist (makes it easy to track CQC) but my experience in other desk setups, you're more accurate using your whole arm to drive your mouse, and use a lower sensitivity, as your arm does the large movement, and your wrist makes the rest happen. other than that stuff, it's all placebo these days, just practice practice practice... and frame rate, 144hz is their for a good reason, make your games look like minecraft and say goodbye to shaders, and enjoy some fps in the pc masterrace
I have the same problem but this method will fix it. (This method is for CS:GO) -Change your Windows sensitivity and In-game sensitivity (it defends on what you like) -Buy a mouse bungee, it will fix the cable of your mouse -Make a better setup Examples -Make a bigger space for your mouse -buy a bigger mousepad -buy a mouse that it suits for your hand The best mouse and mousepad for CSGO is Zowie FK1(mouse) Steelseries qck heavy(mousepad) That's all I hope this method will help : )
Erik Lunøe a lot of mouses offer a 1000 polling rate but not all of them can keep a steady 1000 rate so they will instead jump up and down between let’s say 800-1000. I’m saying that a steady 500 is better than something spiking all over the place.
I felt the same way with 1k polling rate. My shots in games are god awful even when I feel like I am aiming fine, I lowered it to 500 and no more potato. I think it's just bc I'm so used to it.
Content of video: -Set windows mouse sensivity to 6 and disable "Enhance Pointer Precision" and comentaries about it - Mouse Fix: download and instal and how to use -CS GO in 2 mosue settings
You got to be kidding me.... this whole time.... ive been trying to figure why my dpc latency is so high for months and it was because of my mouse, not my gpu (1070ti) or anything. Dropped from 980-1115 to 490-518. THANKYOU
Hey everyone,my right click of mouse was always bugging and i watched this video. Until the end everything was useless and didnt really help the problem But i heard this guy saying about USB plugged in devices that werent really usefull so i tried to un-plug my headphones and guess what, the problem went away.So i can play anything normally without the mouse lags if i dont have headphones plugged in on my Lenovo Y7000P but i am thinking what should i really do that i found the problem so i can both use normally my mouse and my headphones o.O
Something important timer resolution shouldn’t be 0.496 because it bags out sometimes. To fix it do the following. Run cmd.exe as admin and type the following commands: bcdedit /set useplatformtick yes bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock If the last one gives back an error that the value doesn't exist, that's fine. If the value doesn't exist, it's already off. I did on my pc and the timer resolution is set to 0.500. Don’t forget to restart your pc for the settings to apply

Step 1: Stop using Utorrent, they automatically slow your download down if your upload speed limit is low.
I recommend 800 dpi instead 400, and lower ur in game sens in half.
That way the cursor becomes more precise and smooth.
That true
I am not a troll but I am able to type with my mouse now thanks
pretty smelly if you ask me
it works like a piece of cake . thanks for the great help
Make a FPS guide for Subnautica Plz
I dont really know if it worked or helped me but I did it and nothing went worng so far so I'm giving it a thumbs up!
@@quadstrike That's called placebo.
@@HenriXplayer what is? i wrote a lot there
Thanks for this. Helped me out a lot. aiming improved!
you're at 7/11 on the mouse lol the middle is 6/11
I have the same problem but this method will fix it. (This method is for CS:GO)
-Change your Windows sensitivity and In-game sensitivity (it defends on what you like)
-Buy a mouse bungee, it will fix the cable of your mouse
-Make a better setup
Examples
-Make a bigger space for your mouse
-buy a bigger mousepad
-buy a mouse that it suits for your hand
The best mouse and mousepad for CSGO is
Zowie FK1(mouse)
Steelseries qck heavy(mousepad)
That's all I hope this method will help : )
A steady 500 polling rate is much better than a 1000 polling rate which will probably fluctuate
PS/2 is still the golden standard
Erik Lunøe a lot of mouses offer a 1000 polling rate but not all of them can keep a steady 1000 rate so they will instead jump up and down between let’s say 800-1000. I’m saying that a steady 500 is better than something spiking all over the place.
X4 Gaming why is that? higher polling rate means less input lag, even if it is jumpy.
I felt the same way with 1k polling rate. My shots in games are god awful even when I feel like I am aiming fine, I lowered it to 500 and no more potato. I think it's just bc I'm so used to it.
how do you know if it is fluctuating or not? i wavent noticed anything but maybe it is, can you please try to explain?
follow every single step window 10 optimization guide my pc freezeing like hell..
and now follow this mouse optimization my mouse feels weird.
this whole time
i had mouse acel on fu** me damn it
Helped me a ton mate subbed and liked notes on thanks a ton mate..
Will this affect mouse settings in games?
yes
@@zsyftw actually it won't since most games use raw input
Thanks a bunches dude! Helped a lot! My mouse really sucks, and this helped a lot, again, thanks.
Really useful video, thank you
You probably want to set the pooling rate to 500 instead of 1000 because that results in unintended small mouse movements that screw you up
Content of video:
-Set windows mouse sensivity to 6 and disable "Enhance Pointer Precision" and comentaries about it
- Mouse Fix: download and instal and how to use
-CS GO in 2 mosue settings
Can I get vac ban Windows mouse things?
props for the guy here, gave a like.
Markc literally makes no change since windows already uses 1/1 and almost every FPS game use raw input so basically none of this matters.
i was just gonna make a comment but this one explains everything
You have the best tutorials on RUclips, in my opinion. All of them work and help a lot! Thank you for these.
And thank you for the comment bro
(If the link above does not work then use this mirror @ onedrive.com.) are you guys blind?
AdriaN 1060PC xD
Thanks heaps, just navigating my desktop feels so much better. Have a good one mate :)
my scaling just says default. Or larger. Does that mean its at 100%?
Basefrq yup. Default Is 100%
Windows scaling don't affect mouse input
pathetic idiot
Nope, Default is your original mouse accel... 100% is the correct one!
Until the end everything was useless and didnt really help the problem
But i heard this guy saying about USB plugged in devices that werent really usefull so i tried to un-plug my headphones and guess what, the problem went away.So i can play anything normally without the mouse lags if i dont have headphones plugged in on my Lenovo Y7000P but i am thinking what should i really do that i found the problem so i can both use normally my mouse and my headphones o.O
its either a headphone problem or a mouse problem, you should probably buy a new version of either one.
Something important timer resolution shouldn’t be 0.496 because it bags out sometimes. To fix it do the following.
Run cmd.exe as admin and type the following commands:
bcdedit /set useplatformtick yes
bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock
If the last one gives back an error that the value doesn't exist, that's fine. If the value doesn't exist, it's already off.
I did on my pc and the timer resolution is set to 0.500. Don’t forget to restart your pc for the settings to apply
pls help! When i click on the file/link to the MarkC it opens a new tab and says Not found Error 404
