@Omar Saleh how is it lagging horribly? in the video there's a lot of optimization? can you tell me which setting affecting your fps? because my GTX 1650 Ti will arrive in 2 days
Man oh man! I followed all the steps and changed everything. I got to say, the graphics looks a million % better. No choppiness or lag!! Thanks so much
Right, i was having choppy issues in the simplest of games and i thought my PC was dying. After this video, it's like having a new PC. You will also really notice it if you ever have a minor drop in framerate and dip below 60, even if it's just down to 57-56ish. In this case, I'd recommend capping your FPS at slightly above 60, say 70 or 80. Great video, thank you very much Panjno!

true, got a 3080, stay on idle at 1900mhz/1920mhz at 45-50 celcius when it's set at maximum performance. On optimal, between 100mhz/200mhz at 35 celcius. Don't see that much of a difference in game that could justify that to be honest

@@mohamadrezkyfachruddin944 maybe not. You may need to clean your pc. This kind of issue once happened to me. It got fixed after I cleaned my pc and applied thermal paste to my processor. If you know how to do this then you can do it(applying past to processor). But try to clean your pc. Also if there is any bios update then then update your motherboard. Hopefully your problem should get fixed. There is another thing that Nvidia drivers can cause issues as well. So you can do a custom driver installation which should driver related issues. Happy Gaming 😀
Select power option : prefer max performance separately for every games you play instead of changing it from global settings, otherwise it forces your gpu to work with higher clock even in normal apps like browsers and desktop, potentially lowering your gpu lifespan
Computer components doing what they are meant for doesn't reduce their lifespan at all. By just turning your computer off and on you damage it more than overclocking would do in a straight year of usage.
I apoloize in advance, want to give my thoughts about this video and I'm not hating on it, just giving my honest opinions which may hurt, but knowing is better than believing something is right rather than believing it is personally.. Its a good video, giving only little explanation and some good key features, however there's a lot of blanks where its just scrolled by saying on or off then to the next without explanation. For example another youtuber I'm watching did a thorough search for what each feature does and contacting support to get a better understanding. For example: - Power management mode: ~Benefits: Some games do benefit from this greatly ~Downside: It will run 24/7 even idle, generating more heat and wasting both electricity and battery/system life, so its best set to for some games, otherwise its best set "Optimal" Globally, unless needed change for a single game.. Same goes for those other settings. -Texture Filtering: ~Benefits: Produces sharper images ~Downsides: Causes jagginess, shimmering from the distance in many games when in motion, especially for newer games/computer specs Again, overall video its good, but better to dive deep into info of what each setting does and your reasons/other users, Its benefits and its downfalls, the risks, otherwise I feel like its being read off a script, or repeated religiously that the word "High performance" can be good when it can, but waste more battery life / electricity bill if always left on. Also overclocking, which 1. Voids your warrantee 2. decreases components lifespan 3. Not everyone has a beast set up, making most of these beasted out settings less worthy 4. Decreases system stability, which causes crashes. I was questioning quite a lot of it, both watching various other content creators and their opinions, asking tech wizards, looking at other suggestions, reading what each function does and testing their capabilities (Some settings affects other settings both negatively and positively by a large margin), etc.
Totally agree. Many of the settings he changes are very specific to hardware and specs. Like I wouldn't disable vsync by default, many slightly older games need that on or there is screen tearing, reguardless of your monitor. Also older monitors you will usually want this option on and all games usually have a setting for it. Just leave it up to the game.
remember my first graphic card like 9 years ago, playing lol at 40-50 fps whit fabric config for like 1 year, then i changed some settings and got 80+fps i was like woaaaaahhh
Realistically, I would not follow the "Digital Vibrance" setting and instead I would search for a Color Calibration Profile for your Monitor so that you get Accurate colors.
Big surprise but in Oct 2021 it is still not outdated and so far the best recommendation I ever had. I have a GTX 1060 and I got really smooth gameplay in many games after I adjusted the settings. I kept only 2 settings: I used optimal power and no scaling. Thanks for the tips, big thumbs up.
I have a the GTX 1080 and yea, just following the steps as closely can turn a choppy laggy mess into smooth like butter gameplay. I also left the image scaling off as it looked a bit grainy as the older cards don't have the option to smooth it like the 20 series 😁
Thanks a lot this literally made it for me from 80 fps to 130 fps Metro Exodus in 1440p Ultra settings and I'm not quite sure if there is any visual difference but regardless it works great, and with RTX enabled at high and dlss on it gives me 90 fps. I have Legion 5 pro Ryzen 7 5800h RTX 3060
ruclips.net/video/ugadZ86uTik/видео.html Dude...Try what this guy says...It really made graphics look beautiful than ever without a major hit to performance.
Low Latency mode helps out decreasing the input lag on systems where the gpu is hitting its limits. If you are intentionally playing games on low settings and don't have overload of gpu load ( below 95%) and you get over 90 fps trust me leave this feature off it will even increase the input lag as Battle(non)sense already demonstrated.
@Sgtqman19 well if you intend to max out your frames you put the settings down, in that moment you´re intentionally putting your bottleneck to the gpu. It is nothing wrong but it definetly doesn´t recommend using this setting.
I have: RTX 2070 Super, 16gb ram, Radeon 7 3700x. Samsung G7 monitor 240hz These settings really enhanced my graphics! Made the colors really pop! Smooth gameplay with great fps. I had to tone the color vibrance down just a tad as the monitor is brand new. Thanks a ton!!!
Image sharpening is just a huge NO globally, use it on a per-app configuration: TAA's vaseline-like effect can be mitigated by sharpening, but it can create haloing around every edge that have a huge contrast difference especially at higher levels (like a gun's outline vs. the blue sky, it's a port of AMD's CAS if I remember correctly, so it plays with contrast levels in order to sharpen). Also, while the performance hit isn't much at around 5 fps at max. on a GTX 1080, it's still there, keep that in mind. Experiment with the value of sharpening, but the default of 50% is something that has too much haloing for my liking, 20-30% is more acceptable IMO but it is reeeeeally a thing to experiment with, even in different games. For G-Sync, enable V-sync in the driver, and disable it in game. Set FPS limits below 3 of your refresh rate at least (I'm using 138@144Hz personally). Don't use G-Sync with windowed modes as things like Spotify bugs it and the cursor move feels inside of it like a 30ish FPS movement.

Yeah, some games have this kinda stuff built-in, like NFS Heat, where with just TAA I thought I've accidentally enabled NV sharpening, but no, the game looks mighty sharp with just TAA. Adding any more sharpening would look rather bad.

That game is strangely optimized. On my gtx 1060 6gb I can get 60fps at 1440p with ray tracing, filmic AA, and all the bells and whistles. Then I can run the game again and it stutters and runs at 20-25fps ! WTF ! Not to mention a lot of random crashes. I have 16gb of Ram a good ssd but I would’ve expected this to run at least at 60fps like the ps4 Pro or Xbox one x version
I'd recommend updating drivers even more frequently, as specific fixes are often applied for specific games. Just use Geforce Experience and update every time the notification pops up.
You should NEVER update the gpu drivers just because it's a newer one. It's common knowledge that a lot of new patches mess up stuff that used to work just fine. So unless your driver is getting old and missing on some features, or the new driver offers some improvement for the games that you play you shouldn't just download it instantly everytime.
To be honest, I always downloaded the drivers as they were made available to me and never had any issues. UNTIL now, I have a GTX 1660 Ti and the most recent update introduced a LOT of stuttering and freezing in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, I had to roll back to a previous driver update to fix it. So yeah, I'll probably switch to a "Download as must" policy from now on

Is it the windows fault?
@@mohamadrezkyfachruddin944 maybe not. You may need to clean your pc. This kind of issue once happened to me. It got fixed after I cleaned my pc and applied thermal paste to my processor. If you know how to do this then you can do it(applying past to processor). But try to clean your pc. Also if there is any bios update then then update your motherboard. Hopefully your problem should get fixed. There is another thing that Nvidia drivers can cause issues as well. So you can do a custom driver installation which should driver related issues. Select power option : prefer max performance separately for every games you play instead of changing it from global settings, otherwise it forces your gpu to work with higher clock even in normal apps like browsers and desktop, potentially lowering your gpu lifespan
Yup. Only enabled it for each games. Your gpu don't need to work on idle
How do I do this?
no no no .. Are you going to use your gpu 12 years??? Personally i change my gpu every 3 - 4 years
Computer components doing what they are meant for doesn't reduce their lifespan at all. By just turning your computer off and on you damage it more than overclocking would do in a straight year of usage.
GodVanisher bruh , so i should leave my pc on ?
I apoloize in advance, want to give my thoughts about this video and I'm not hating on it, just giving my honest opinions which may hurt, but knowing is better than believing something is right rather than believing it is personally..
Its a good video, giving only little explanation and some good key features, however there's a lot of blanks where its just scrolled by saying on or off then to the next without explanation. For example another youtuber I'm watching did a thorough search for what each feature does and contacting support to get a better understanding.
For example:
- Power management mode:
~Benefits: Some games do benefit from this greatly
~Downside: It will run 24/7 even idle, generating more heat and wasting both electricity and battery/system life, so its best set to for some games, otherwise its best set "Optimal" Globally, unless needed change for a single game.. Same goes for those other settings.
-Texture Filtering:
~Benefits: Produces sharper images
~Downsides: Causes jagginess, shimmering from the distance in many games when in motion, especially for newer games/computer specs
Again, overall video its good, but better to dive deep into info of what each setting does and your reasons/other users, Its benefits and its downfalls, the risks, otherwise I feel like its being read off a script, or repeated religiously that the word "High performance" can be good when it can, but waste more battery life / electricity bill if always left on.
You are to be thanked for writing this comment.
Thank you
Totally agree.

I also left the image scaling off as it looked a bit grainy as the older cards don't have the option to smooth it like the 20 series 😁
wow changing the dynamic range to full makes the screen look 4k. I had it on limited for 2 years. The difference is insane!

@@Noble166 If you have a g-sync compatible monitor, you leave v-sync off in-game and enable v-sync globally in the control panel. This way, if it goes past the monitor's refresh rate, V-sync kicks in to avoid tearing
disabling V Sync ingame and enable enabling it in the panel is a myth. Gsync doesnt care it it's turned on in the panel or ingame.
Yeah, some games have this kinda stuff built-in, like NFS Heat, where with just TAA I thought I've accidentally enabled NV sharpening, but no, the game looks mighty sharp with just TAA. Adding any more sharpening would look rather bad.

What ?! You 30 fps for a RTX 3070 ? Do you run 8K Ultra settings or something
When i turn on "Image sharpening" on "manage 3D settings" i'm not allowed to select scaling mode anymore on "Adjust desktop size and position"
I think it is because you are running 2 monitors. But I'm sure this option is not so important.
because you are scaling your image for sharpening by a higher scaling which is down scaled to your aspect ratio for a sharp image
thats why it is disabled because gpu is now handling scaling according to game textures

I've been watching you since you started. Your videos are always improving and your tips are always spot-on and helpful. Please keep it up, Panjno!
I got the 451 driver for ma 1660ti and fortnite started to give me fps drop
To be honest, I always downloaded the drivers as they were made available to me and never had any issues. UNTIL now, I have a GTX 1660 Ti and the most recent update introduced a LOT of stuttering and freezing in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, I had to roll back to a previous driver update to fix it. So yeah, I'll probably switch to a "Download as must" policy from now on
