For the white eyeliner tip, the best one to use is the Nyx Jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese. It’s the same as white, but has a teeny bit of shimmer and will not only look better, but blend better. 🙃
I remember Aly Art here on RUclips making a cream contour by using a cool brown eyeliner mixed with a bit of foundation. She passed the eyeliner over her hard several times (like a swatch) to get the pigment and soften it with the warmth of her hand and then mixed in a bit of foundation and mixed as you would over a spatula, taadaaa 😅 custom cream contour that actually looks like a natural shadow instead of being bronzy and red.
I learned a lot from Aly in my early youtube days haha
@@dazem8 she's still making great videos, explaining a bunch of things to find what will bring out your best features based on your shape, type, skin color. She's amazing! 😍
Aly is the OG body type, hair colour, eye colour consultant 😭 what do even call this genre?
In a very old episode of What Not to Wear - season 2 or 3 I think - Carmindy did a truck where she lined the eyes with a gel liner then used an angle brush to drag the liner up onto the lid to make a smokey eye
Blending out lip liner is easier and not at all messy with a clean, sponge-tipped eyeshadow applicator. Been doing this for years now.
LOVE these tips and I ALWAYS do the white eyeshadow on the inside of my eyes and right below my brow bone. Always a JOY to watch you Zabrena!!
I had nothing to do today so I tried the eyebrow pencil and blush hack. I thought since I was not doing anything it wouldn't be bad to see. I doubted it too since I have dark hair (like black hair) and my eyebrow pencil is a dark brown. I paired it with a coral cream blush (that always looks great on my cheeks) and did what you did in the tutorial of blending between steps. It worked!!!!! Even with dark brown eyebrow pencil! I was shocked. So it is nice to know if on a trip and I need a lip color that is natural this hack will work. Thanks again for sharing it.
I love the tip about using colored lip liner on the eyelids! I've been using a clear lip liner (retractable pencil) under my lower lashes as a sticky base for any color eyeshadow. Works great! Maybelline makes a nice one, not too slick. Thanks Zabrena!
That's a awesome idea!! When using a lighter metallic color on my lower lashes I have trouble getting it to stick. I will give that a try!
Will try this instead of using eye primer under my lower lashes.
I remember as a teenager, there was an amazing tip going around, it actually worked, ok so if you have a pale shade lipstick not to your liking, use brown eyeshadow over your lips, then your pale lipstick, it changes the look to the next level..give it a shot zabrena cheers from down under
I used to just put a brown eyeliner (couldn't find lip liner in brown) and then use the pink. Joy of the 90s, kinda like the Pam Anderson look.
Ok so I know this is going to sound kind of..ok well it is strange BUT... For chapped or dry lips instead of buying an expensive lip mask, you can use Lanolin instead. I promise you its better than any balm out there and more affordable. Also, if I happen to forget my highlighter, I just use my shimmer pale eye shadow on my cheeks
Yes!!! The pure type is the best! Also for diaper rashes it is great! Heals everything.
I use nipple lanolin marketed for breast feeding for my lips
@@unicornL thats what I was talking about
I can usually count on you to come up with something that seems really, really weird - but works!!! I'll be trying out some of these on a day I don't have to go to work... just in case. 🤪 Have a beautiful weekend!!

Really nice tips for traveling, I love multipurpose products. I use the "white" pencil tip since forever! But I use a beige pencil (I'm medium olive), i do my waterline, my eyebrown line (usually only the bottom part) cupid's bow and bridge of the nose. Such a time and space saver 😃
Also I used to use a brown Kajal to do my eyebrows + as cream shadow or eyeliner. The lipstick as blush and ta-daaa full make up with like 5 products
I’ve never applied a face primer to my eyelids but today Angie from Hot n Flashy said she uses the elf putty primer as an eyeshadow primer and I’ve been thinking about it- eager to try it ever since listening to her video this morning 🤓. I have never even used the putty primer as a face primer (but I have a new one!) Now I have a more formal purpose for it (lol).
That is a brilliant idea!! I've tried using foundation and concealer with varying results but I bet primer would work. Especially the elf putty one!
That's all I've ever used. I never saw the point in buying separate primers, and it's always worked very well! I love the ELF putty primers, too!
Thank you! Nice tips.
I was blown away recently by applying my contour and blush much higher on my cheek bones. It really lifts my face
As always, you look gorgeous! Thanks for the fun tips
You could also use satin or matte lipstick colors for eyeshadow as well. I've tried it & it looks pretty good.
So true! I still use liquid lipstick for eyeshadow bases when I’m applying any color eyeshadow. This method still keeps the eyeshadow vibrant; much better than any primer. Doesn’t matter how expensive or cheap the eyeshadow is or the primer, for that matter. A colored pencil, liquid lipstick, or liquid to cream eyeshadows work the best for keeping eyeshadow from creasing or disappearing throughout the day. ☀️❤️
@@kereniinafletcher738 YES I TOTALLY AGREE 100% I use like a very pale lipstick & work it on the crease & use a deeper shade & I'm done it's quick & easy sometimes I just go with one shade & I'm done, I don't got time to sit & blend eyeshadow for 20 minutes or so & liquid lipstick or lipstick work amazing as well & I use it sometimes for blush or lipstick & I match the eyes , and blush & lips & I'm out the door
I use my lipstick as my blush. Try using that tik too filter that tells your perfect makeup placement. That would be fun
Love this video!! My favorite was the first the lip/ bronzer Duo!! Prolly the only one I will actually try and yes I think the white liner would work if u had a blendable pencil lol!!! Please do a full face tutorial
I use the bottom of my brush handle to dot it on myself before blending with my brush
What about staying power of lipliner on the eye lid?
I assume that the top layer of powder eyeshadow helps.
Thank you
For the white highlight tip, I would try it with a different brush-something between fluffy and stiff, perhaps like the Real Techniques deluxe crease brush. I don’t think that would have helped you with this though. The pencil texture seemed too dense and stiff. A person would need to find a crayon with the right texture, and I doubt that would be easy. Like you suggested, maybe the crayon the other MUA used was the one it works with.
Lol, so maybe you should try deeper pink blushes???
I am very blessed this week thank you! Wishing the same to you and all who this reaches.
I've tried the wet n wild white eye stick and I loved it!
Another white cream stick that might work better is one of the newest shadow sticks from ELF's Cookies & Dreams collection, the Sweet Cream color. I've heard those are really blendable and easy to work with.
I was going to mention those elf shadow sticks. There are super cream and pigmented. The white is stunning. I can't believe how smudge-proof they are. it's really true they are no budge. I use the white on the inner corners and brow bone all the time.
Thanks for this video it gave me something to smile about on a hard day. Makeup makes me happy. I love playing with it on myself and others. Thanks for sharing your research and trying products for us. I have very sensitive and oily skin so I really appreciate your POV. Hope you and the Family are well! God Bless 💕
Trying the lipliner trick today, thanks for the idea
Those LA girl eyeliners STAY PUT. One of the multi stick type products would blend out better.
A tip from me - pinch your bronzer brush and dig it into the pan a bit and use that for transition eyeshadow. One jab on each eye. SUPER fast. LOL
Another tip - before setting spray existed, or if you run out, wring out a hot washrag and spread it over your whole face and gently press on each side and remove.
Love your videos!! 💕 But can we get a longer one please!
Love your adventurist spirit, great ideas !
Thank you so much! I love this video and I will definitely try out theese techniques! Especially the foundation lid one! And i really love your personality! 🤍 Have a great weekend!
I so enjoy your videos! And your eyeliner looks AMAZING!
Wow zabrena! These hacks are great and a must-try. Thank you may God bless you 🙏 😊
Always love these videos, learn something every time!
I'll have to try these. Thank you, Z! Have a Blessed weekend!
Thank you for sharing these tips. It's always nice to try different makeup techniques. Have a great weekend.
Thank you for always looking for new and unique content for your channel. I actually just enjoy all your content period. Have a beautiful weekend ahead!!
You are so awsome! One of the really good to try weird things in a "normal" way... not too dramatic, but still inticing!
I've tried highlighting with the nyx jumbo pencil in milk or whatever the shimmering one was and it worked. So try it with that. Loved the video.
The eyeshadow tip looks like a good one for me to try. 🙂 Thanks for the ideas. ❤️
Ooh definitely going to try the lip liner and bronzer look! I saw a TikTok hack recently where someone sprayed setting spray directly onto their bronzer before dipping in the brush to make a creamy application. I tried it the other day and loved it!
That eyebrow pencil and blush combo for lilps is interesting. I use a liquid eyebrow product though. I assume that would work also?
The first one is funny because in '97 we did the opposite. We used brown eyeliner as lip liner because the chola look was huge. 🤷🏻♀️
Yes. I will try a couple of them. 🙏 thanks.
Love these tips and your recommendations! I watch you all the time! ❤️Fran
Love these tips!! Thank you 😊💖
Great tips Zabrena. Your skin in glowing... beautiful skin.❤❤❤❤
I like the foundation on the lid
The first thing I noticed watching this was how beautiful your eyes looked this morning. Then you showed us how you did it and omg. It is beautiful, thank you.
Interesting 🤨. I’ll have to try some of the tips . I tried the tip you mentioned in a previous video about putting powder on before your blush and your makeup 💄 stay’s on which it did and I have oily skin. It amazed me. It’s interesting 🤨 if you sit down and play with your makeup 💄 like blush, eyeshadow where you can use that somewhere else on your face.
I have the WORST time with concealer making my under eyes look extra crepey or cakey. I've ditched all concealers and use a tiny amount of skin tone tinted eye primer from Ulta brand. Tap that in and top with an eye shadow thats a touch brighter than my skin tone. For me Brûlèe from Wet and Wild works perfectly. I've found this keeps things from sinking into fine lines and also keeps my eye lid from getting too oily and wearing down mascara.
P.S. LOVE you and your content. Thanks for staying true and consistent and just being who you are!
Thanks for sharing.
I love all your videos you are amazing, i don’t think I would try any of those tips as I have enough make up on my collection and i don’t need to struggle to come up with ideas but I can see someone doing this tips if they don’t have much make up .
Hi and I hope you are going to have a wonderful week ahead! Thanks for posting this!
To stop creasing, splotchiness, etc with your foundation, concealer - put your primer down then set with setting spray. Apply the other products normally and set with setting spray after application. I do the second setting before applying my blush and contour if its powder - if its cream I do it all before setting it. Avoid powder especially under the eye to prevent crepey looking skin (for those who wear glasses). It works like a charm and I have combination skin with an oily T zone.
I have to try these!
I am [still] 69. I feel as if I’ve use pretty much ‘everything for everything,’ over the years. I ‘made up’ stuff that was a revelation in the last 5 to 10 years. I just took whatever product and messed with it to do something else. (Obvious: wet eyeliner brush/dry eye shadow, great eyeliner. Perfect custom shades. Black, brown, maybe blue - old lady blue! - were the only standard liners of the day.) Another tip? Haven’t seen it much today either. Shadow influencing on the eyebrow - and I include all colors, but, in my case, subtitle enough to be useable.)
What’s “shadow influencing”?
@@farashahanem It’s not ‘a thing,’ but the words I chose to describe how I might use a bit of compatible eyeshadow color on my brows to further enhance/pull together an eye look. For example, some tone of green with a green look, purple for purple. It is not used as an exclusive eyebrow color, but as a shading, and is especially fun to increase at night for a more dramatic look.
@@naturalPaths So do you add a green/blue/whatever color of your outfit to your eyebrow hairs? Or what? I'm trying to understand what shadow influencing means..... :)
@@ts4686 Yes, you could put it that way. I wear colors on my eyes, including my eyebrows, that complement my outfit. Mind you this can and does include a range of neutral colors for more conservative looks, not just the blues, greens, plums, etc. The ‘influence’ part is that the eyeshadow colors on the eyebrows are an enhancement, not the whole thing. Just keep it subtle!
@@naturalPaths Okay I see.....I've personally always loved when people bleach and dye their eyebrow hairs "crazy" colors, so why not also do it with makeup 😊 I'll have to look it up to hopefully see some videos of it on RUclips, so I fully understand how it's done 😊 I'm very curious.
Maybe do a vlog on WHAT NOT TO DO! The current trend of “spider eyes” in which the false eyelashes are so enormous I can’t believe they can drive. Eyebrows so severe & dark ( and they’re blond) they look like Cruella Deville. The dot on the end of the nose with too much highlighter that they look like Rudolf. So much contour you face looks dirty. BTW Love your using 3 shadows side by side then blending, Thanks!
Wow…I have been using lipliner on my eyes for years. Red base colors compliment my green eyes
Instead of brushing eyebrows up then filling, try brushing down then filling the sparse spots and brush back in place. I can't believe how easy and pretty this technique was!
Hi thank you for sharing look forward to more nee stuff 🌸
Ok I was going through my milani fetish lipsticks last week and i wanted to try and see if i could use it as a blush on my cheeks...Oh my goodness it worked and looked amazing. They blend so well on the cheeks as if i was using a cream blush. Thanks for the makep tips Zabrena&God Bless You. I love your channel 💗
My mom used to do this all the time. Especially for special occasions.
I use drink swizzle sticks to dip into foundation apply to face then blend
Sometime ago I was using a smother for my lips and applying it underneath my eyes and it would smooth it beautifully and I was doung by mistake.
I absolutely adore your personality and love watching your videos. You’re my go to for any occasion I need a tutorial on:)
I wonder how that last tip would look on people like me that wears a black brown eyebrow pencil!!! I guess I won’t be trying that one! 😂 I do like the lip liner as eye shadow trick though!
Allie Blind showed a tip on eyeshadow. She used a Pink Blush on her lids and then used a Bronzer for the crease as her transition color. It looked so pretty.
Hi Zabrena,
Can you make a video about makeup looks using old makeup palettes that you have in your collection, but instead of using the same colors again and again, show us how to use colors that you wouldn't go towards normally.
Thanks
I'm gonna tell my niece about the foundation hack she can't stand anything on her hands she cleans her hands a million times a day so she may like that hack I'm gonna tell her about your channel now she is just starting out with makeup and you have taught me so many new things and I love how you explain things so ppl can understand
These were great tips, haven't seen any of them prior.
Honeybee Gardens has an eyeliner that makes a great lip liner! enjoying the videos!
I tried to find shop, but they didn’t have it on Amazon. That is really a beautiful look!
Looks absolutely beautiful
Thank you for the tips and the video.
I love how you are framed in the last several videos. Cutting off the top of your head was my only pet peeve of your videos. Now they are absolutely perfect 💜
your hair looks really pretty :D
I also use my lipliner on my lids and waterline but at times I am worried about its hygene.
Thanks for sharing this tips. Take care.
Beautiful look!
Oooooooh intriguing stuff!
Maybe you could use a white concealer for the same effect.
I love all these tips Z!
💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
What was the foundation you were using with the cap?
Looked lovely and a perfect shade. 😜xx
It was NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil Lightweight BB Cream. When she did a video testing it, she used the shade Pale Light so I’m guessing that’s the shade she used here, but not totally positive.
@@onewhisper22005 thanks 🙏 x
Your lashes are beautiful! I am wondering what style you are wearing?
I’d seen the eyebrow pencil and blush technique previously. So, I already knew that this turns out pretty well. Instead of mixing it with a lip balm, I sprayed it with my setting spray. This turned it into a kinda pomade? It went on the lips a little thicker than the cream blush did. 😉❤️🌹
last tip worked..crazy but it did
Lip liners are oilier, I suggest using a nyx jumbo shadow type thing instead
Great video. I saw Bethenny Frankel on TT comparing CHANEL and Cover Girl Clean Professional Translucent powders. She was using the world’s crappiest camera. Did I miss something in makeup world? I’m usually pretty up on things-but I’d not heard that these were similar. I have the CHANEL but not the Cover Girl. I was thinking about ordering it but I have SO many powders I may wait until I get low on the pricier one and then try the less expensive then to see if it makes a good replacement. Love a good dupe. I cant find anything else online about it!
Using a gel white liner would work best. I’ve been doing this technique for years
What was the blush you used...I love the color!?
Skin-toned eyeliner pencil as concealer. I saw Smitha Deepak, here on RUclips, showing how to do it. I haven't had much success with the couple of pencils that I tried, but maybe you could get it to work?
Seems like a lot of work when you can just use the products made for eyes, lips, brows, etc withiut mixing all this stuff together. Who has the time?! Thank you for being so transparent.
One of the tips I've seen other RUclipsrs mention is using the eyeshadows in vertical lines from lashes to crease. Then they do the windshield wiper motion with a blending brush. On them it turned out nice but I feel like I'm doing something wrong when I try it.
Try dabbing them in place and blend them less.
@@PersianPowergirl ok thanks. I'll try that
Begin lightly blending the lightest colors first, then move towards the darker colurs.
You can even use one brush for the lighter colors, and another for the darker colors, so as to not get a muddy over blended effect.
Remember to only blend where the colors meet, and not throughout the color/shadow. You're looking to blend a seamless effect between the shadows 😊
@@ts4686 thank you! I see. I'll try it
@@pajamamama5965 Best of luck with it, I hope it works for you, friend 😊
I use the bottom of my brush
Beautiful hair color is that from a box? I love your videos sister!!
Instead of a white eyeliner, use a white concealer or eye primer.💙🌻
Sometimes going real cheap products just isn’t worth it. But then again, sometimes using higher end products don’t work much better:/. It’s a gamble 😜
Lip liner as blush 🤔
To me, putting foundation on the cap sounds like it'll make a bigger mess if you don't wipe it right away. I would probably forget and just get residue all over my vanity. I'll stick with the back of my hand lol
Love your videos...2 questions...I'm having difficulty placing false lashes on and having them stick. And do you prefer to use a beauty blender when applying foundation or a brush? Thx a bunch
Hopefully you get input from Zabrena, but I thought I chime in just in case she doesn't see the comment..
For the lashes, make sure you allow the glue to dry 80% of the way before placing them. And she seems to always use a beauty blender for foundation application :) hope this helps
I also struggled with putting on falsies. The inner corner would always lift, sometimes the outer corner too, or I couldn't get the lash to fit the curvature of my lash line. Id also get glue all over, trying to add more glue to the lifted lash, was a mess! 😫
Then I tried adding the glue to my lash line (right above the lashing line, not on it/hairs), rather than to the falsies, and it works like a charm for me 🥳 I hope it can help you too 😊 Best of luck! 🍀🥰
Hey, I am having trouble getting your notifications! Not sure why! I enjoy your post more than any other person’s post! I am subscribed! Help! I don’t want to miss any of your post!
Could you tell me the name of the blush you used on your lips? I probably missed it. Love your videos always so excited and delighted showing off what have learned.
She said in the video it was Florence by Mills blush in the shade Shy shi
@@notsheepish8304 thank you!
I would say if it is designed an eye pencil use it on your eyes. Otherwise like lips lip pencil is them on your list. That’s why they made them
