- By now, installing an oil separator has become a common practice amongst vehicle enthusiasts because of what they're designed to do. Speaking of their purpose, it's simple. An oil separator prevents oil vapor from making its way back into the intake system. The oil vapor is filtered through a stainless steel mesh screen that collects into the canister. Overtime, this oil vapor will collect within the throttle body, intake manifold, and the intake ports on the cylinder head which can cause drivability issues further along in the car's life. Plus, let's admit it! We're car people. These easy modifications that net some sort of value make us feel good.

Of course!! 🙌
J&L are the best. Have them installed on both my cars. '07 Shelby GT, and y '93 Cobra. They work folks! If you live in California, you'll have to have a friend mail them to you as they aren't CARB legal.
I really wonder if the dual cold air intake was truly necessary. Is that extra 15hp worth making it that much more difficult to work on? Could they not achieve the same thing without that design. It only makes bolt ons that much more expensive for the consumer.
Hi. Why is the oil separator only connected to the passenger side PCV ports?
The passenger side on these cars is the dirty side. In our experience the clean side kits collect little to nothing unless the car is used in a road racing scenario.
