Hands down, my favorite Who song ever.
For me this is one of the all time top 5 vocal performances up there with Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury
Quadrophenia. ALL of it. In headphones just for you to enjoy...
I watch Love Reign O'er Me reactions all the time. This song rules. And it is the last song on a double album where all the songs are this good. Amazing.
This album, Quadrophenia is easily the most underrated album of all time!
Part of a fabulous rock opera. Quadraphenia. Masterpiece
This song is so beautiful, I’ve not heard it in a long while!
That the king of Power Balllads - That's Power, That's LOVE - and killer music. It doesn't get better than that.
I love you young cats digging the classics.
Peace on earth.
Man Pete Townsend is great on the piano
The whole album is a masterpiece. Quadrophenia one of the greatest rock albums ever made!
We had the best music. 🥹
We sure did
Classic The Who lineup:
Roger Daltrey - Lead Vocals
Pete Townsend - Lead Axe & Vocals
John "Ox" Entwistle - Bass Axe
Keith "Loon" Moon -Drums
Roger Daltry is considered the second greatest rock vocalist only behind Robert Plant in a 1980 survey. Songs like this cemented his place in Classic Rock Royalty.... along with the other members of this iconic band.
I wouldn't say 2nd greatest but one of the greatest as very few can cover and due justice to who song. Eddie Vedder tries singing who songs but it just makes me cringe. Roger still has the voice. Recently plant joined Roger to sing onstage.
I don't know. As much as I love Plant and Led Zepplin, I think if you take the top 5 or so lead singers of the era, my favorite would end up being whoever I happen to be listening to at that moment.😁 I grew up in such a fantastic era of music. 🎸
@@skygazer858 Roger always sang with emotion but took care of his voice and his body. He still had pretty much the same body well into his 60s and put his half his age to shame. My favorite zep songs are babe I'm leavin you and hey hey what can I do
Freddie mercury?btw this song has been my favourite since the 80s
I favor Daltrey over Plant. As great as Zeppelin was as a band, I find Plant's voice a bit irritating.
The second Rock Opera, by the band, that created the Rock Opera....you owe it to yourself, to listen to entire album, start to finish.❤
This is a true masterpiece. Beautiful. The voice of Roger Daltrey and those genius instruments being played by masters. Pretty incredible. Thank you for your reaction to this one. =)
Maybe...just maybe...the greatest love song ever made!
🙏❤🌹 Keith & John 🌹❤🙏
Powerful song! Love this…😽🎶
My favourite The Who track, from a very strong catalogue. Been lucky enough to see them live several times.
Great production, song, vocals etc., haunting tune! Thanks
Best era in music for sure!! Love this song and band!!
This song is from quadraphenia which is rock opera. You have to listen to whole album and there is a movie
I’d run through a brick wall after this one…my God!
Seeing them do this live was beyond words just incredible
Thank you for the spiritual reference.
The Who, One of my favorite bands of all time. But then again, I have a lot of favorite bands hehe.
Yep, don't we all have several favorite bands from 'The Good Old Days"
I’ve known this song always but I still felt those drums at the beginning right in my heartbeat.❤
I want to say it was a kettle drum but all I know about drums is Neil Peart. 🪘
Didn’t all the CSI TV shows use a clip from Who songs?
I really love You Better You Bet. MTV came out when I was 13 when it premiered. It was mostly all music and VJ and prior to huge country and rap breakthroughs for the general population.
Gen X is the original TV generation lol. If you haven’t checked out subdivisions from rush I highly recommend it. The song spoke me and it was my first introduction to Rush and they even made an official video for it.
I think it was the first time I ever listened to a song and saw myself in it. I believe that was a year or two later but I have been a Rush fan since the early 80s also. We had a great rock station in Providence WHJY. They played all the best and only interrupted you a couple times an hour. Also their DJs weren’t annoying little poops.
Thanks for the great reaction. This song has been on my playlist since the day it was released a lifetime ago.
Has it been a lifetime already? Feels like yesterday...
It’s all about listening too the full Album imo! Great reaction. I’ve listened to this Album at least once a Month since 1979. Love it!✌🏻🏴
Great job! GOAT's!
I love your reactions! You wait to talk until after the song! 😊😊
So glad for your reaction. This is from my second favourite album of all time.
Count the China types on sister disco! Classic!
Perfect reaction 👍🏆
Well done Jmboy! You're one of my favorite reaction channels and I'm rarely if ever disappointed.
I could get a good buck pawning all that equipment and still keep on rockin' Peace.
Music=feeling=emotion
fave song from...
Can you imagine this being released today? Me neither :) Good journey...Peace!
You’re such a bright light 💫 and I appreciate your understanding of these lyrics!
You should listen to the song ,”Pure and easy” by the Who from the Odds and Sods album.Underrated song.
Love this song
Leather Lungs Daltrey with a vocal performance for the ages! BTW, "Love Reign O'er Me" (LROM) is the final song on the Who's concept album "Quadrophenia". On the 3 songs just prior to LROM, the main character - Jimmy - is contemplating suicide, and he came very close to succeeding. Then he had an epiphany as the waves started washing over a rock near the seashore he was sitting on - waiting for them to carry him away to his death, when suddenly, love reigned over him. And it saved his life.
Getting in tune and going mobile are also great songs.
My favorite Who song. Notice the spelling, O'er, not over.
The greatest rock n roll band in the world ever, no contest.
Only next to Aerosmith.
You're right, it's not a contest, it's a matter of opinion.
@@robertcornelius3514 HAHAHAHAHA stop it !!!
Led Zeppelin might argue. Black Sabbath might argue.
#3for me, but live they are #1 for sure. Never ever disappoint.
see me,,,,, feel me,,,🤘🎯🤘
Check out this great build up song “Frozen Love”, by Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks?
Love ur reactions
Who who? Feet fit Limbs? Nice one JM!
Greatest Rock Band Ever
Please react to another great song of the who: young man blues from isle of wight (1970) HD
Great video. Please try TOOL: Aemina. I ❤ your reviews.
Beautiful insights here ...indeed Jesus gives the Water of Life that forever quenches the thirst for eternity (John 4:10-14 ) .
Little children can easily understand and believe in Him for that Living Water , instantly having irrevocable Life at that moment ...no better news , ever .
Give it a rest already. Let children be themselves! They are not your soldiers!!!!
@@Fubar2024
Didn't say they were my "soldiers" .
Your comment is as incoherent as it is Objectively inaccurate .
What should that indicate about your motives ?
This channel saw fit to mention the "Almighty" and the "Divine" in his comments . Thus , my comment that he saw fit to shout out with a hearty approval . A reasonable person should be able to see how that makes sense ...
Donna Summer - MacArthur Park (from VH1 Presents Live & More Encore!)
I'm always amazed how people who make lyrics videos can't get the lyrics right. All they have to do is look up the lyrics. The lyric "Like the sweat of love birds laying in the fields", instead of the correct line "Like the sweat of lovers laying in the fields" is just ridiculous.
