I don't think they're over. 2020 is plot twist year. There was also that moment with Soleimani when everyone thought there would be nuclear war. It's only March.
Story: so there was a pandemic... 😂😂😂 That is a great start for a great story. You should do a vow renewal for your 1st year of marriage. That would be really nice.
Awwww, SOOOOOOO many tears of happiness for you both!!! There's always a snag in everyone's wedding plans, but you were fortunate enough to overcome it, and what a *wonderful* outcome! Congratulations, times infinity! Also, if you have any guilt over getting married before your huge wedding ceremony could be held, just remember that lots of people who have "destination weddings" (usually on a tropical island) the bride and groom have to be legally married in their home country anyway. This legal procedure is usually in front of a justice of the law (in the U.S. you're in a courthouse) with very, very few attendants. So, no big deal, right? (Well, okay, being *married* is, but not the order it all happens.) 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Now, all that being said, one last thing: Stay clear of this damn virus, ok?!? Much love to you!!
Yay, congratulations on the getting legally married thing ❤️ I don't know how they do it now, but story time: I'm Kurdish-Swedish, and many years ago I was visiting my extended family when my cousin was getting engaged. Now, in our culture the engagement has its own little party, and the wedding itself is traditionally a big three day m a s s i v e affair (like, last time I was at one it was held out in the neighborhood square with basically the whole town stopping by to party), though it's more common to rent a venue and make it just a one evening thing these days. But anyway. Traditionally, the bride and groom aren't supposed to hang out without chaperones etc etc. But by the time I was there to witness the engagement ceremony, it had become a bit of a trend for people to do the engagement ceremony stuff AND get religiously married at the same time. That way they could travel and do whatever they wanted until they could have the big massive actual wedding where they'd get legally married (the signing of the legal documents is part of the party, because everything is part of the party basically). What I'm saying is that, look, your wedding timeline night not be typical for a WESTERN wedding, but as far as I'm concerned getting married is a long process of parties and various levels of marriedness anyway and the way you're doing it now is perfectly normal to me 🤣
Hi, I'm also Kurdish and I also was married legally before having my wedding ceremony. And yes many Kurds do this. Anyway what's important is to be with your loved ones and for everyone to be safe and healthy. I'm glad a responsible decision was taken Annika
Awww, congrats! This reminds me of my own wedding... we were planning to get married, but like 6 or 8 weeks before I was losing my mind because plans kept spiraling and getting bigger and bigger. My husband asked me if I wanted to say to hell with it and just get married that weekend. So I bought a nice dress, we called our families, and then boom, we got married! It was fun... a great day!
Congrats on the wedding guys, I'm overjoyed for you! I'm Italian, so I'll try to (quickly) share my insights on the situation. My sources are the chaos around me, my mom (a nurse) and various doctors I know. STAY HOME 1. The virus also affects seemingly healthy and young people. Yesterday a 27 yo died. Ended up getting upset in Tesco as the cashier was talking shit about how it's "no big deal" and "my mum died of cancer, so it's not the end of the world if people die"... Ooooooh boy. I ended up snapping at her telling her there are people I love who of they get it *will* die, and that they are having to decide who to *let die* in Italy. God. I was so pissed. Her manger agreed with me that she was out of line, apparently she talks shit a lot, and has been told not to before. So yeah, a trip for food (because online delivery is impossible right now, even though we usually get it due to family struggling to go out) turned into me crying in Tesco and I've now got a migraine. FML. Why can't people just not be stupid? 😕😕❤️
I also had to postpone my wedding. Today was supposed to be the big day and I can’t help but cry every time I think about it. My thoughts and love are with you both ❤️
I'm so sorry. You'll be in my thoughts. Just remember, even this will come to an end and your special day will come, even if it doesn't seem like it now.
Last year, I was eating pizza with my boyfriend when he spontaneously proposed. It was April 1st. I didn't believe him at first. I said yes, and that night we started planning. We talked about it before and agreed we both don't like big weddings. So the day after getting engaged, we started calling local municipality offices to see when is the soonest date we can get married. We book for April 14th. We invited everyone we wanted there in person - total of 15 people, mostly parents and siblings. We told all of our friends via a photo in a group chat. In summary, we went from bf/gf to engaged to married in 2 weeks. And it was the best wedding ever. We are planning to have a big party like you one day (obviously not this year) but that day was absolutely perfect. Congratulations Luci and Annika! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jelisaveta Đorđević I also got engaged last April fools day! And I’m having my Tiny Corona Wedding tomorrow. Because the date was really important to me: 3/21. So we just had to make it a much smaller gathering to abide by my state’s regulations, and we have lots of hand sanitizer. And then we’re gonna re-invite everyone to a big party for our first anniversary. So hopefully next year will be better and free of pandemics.
I'm self-isolating for my granny. She's got a lot of underlying health conditions and current health issue. For those of you who are immunocompromised, I'm self isolating for you!! Stay safe!! 💕
I'm so glad you two got married! It's so romantic of Luci to know that the reception and having extended family and friends would be nice to have, but the real reason of the wedding is to celebrate the love between two people like yourselves. I'm glad that you're both safe and healthy, and I cannot wait to see the rest of the dress, and for this whole thing to blow over! Best wishes from America!
I had to do this when my long time boyfriend got deployed when he wasn't supposed to. We decided to get legally married within a week and 2 years later we have a big wedding like we always wanted! I will say our actual wedding was not great lol! but hey maybe we can have a vow renewal party that's better!
CONGRATULATION!!!! My cousin and his wife did something simlar. They had to postpone the wedding ceremony for health reasons, so so they basically eloped and then had a big ceremony on their first anniversary. Half a year after that, they married again in Thailand at the bride's family's place. It was so beautiful! So they married three times XD
The marriage is what’s really important; the wedding ceremony is sort of party-like. Right now you’ve got the most important thing done. Congratulations and Best Wlshes!
P.s. Podcast? We're getting a podcast?!? 🥰😁🥳 I. Freaking. LOVE. You. Two. Even. More!!!!! SO many laughs from them, and we can all use more laugher now. 🤣🤗
Congratulations! My husband and I also had two weddings (almost 6 years ago) for different reasons of course. They were both wonderful. Even though we were already legally married it didn’t take anything away from the joy and fun of our second ceremony and party.
This is so sweet! Makes me miss my boyfriend, but he’s three hours away and I’m self-isolating bc I’m a touch at risk (compared to a normal 21-year old) and my parents are in the medical field. Love, internet hugs, and memes to you. (Also: really cool multiverse fic on AO3 called Warden archiveofourown.org/works/16619540/chapters/38957264 Dunno if marvel cinematic universe is your jam, but it’s got a lot of chapters if you need a few hours to turn off)
My wedding was suppose to be in 9 days but instead we also cancelled our celebration and will be live streaming our legal wedding from our living room. Our daughter is super excited about the whole situation! Congratulations to you both!!!
I'm crying. I'm so glad you just got married.... fancy weddings are great - but that's just the celebration, you have the important part already. Stay safe and healthy!
We are doing the same thing ❤️ Had to cancel our wedding, postponing to 2021. But are still getting legally married on our date so we don’t lose it ❤️ Hard terms to come with, but the best we can do in this situation. Congratulations! We will get through this
Congratulations on being married! I’m so happy for you two! My husband and I did two ceremonies. One with just our friends where we met and he proposed (Barnes and Noble) we signed the paper and it was really sweet. Then two months later we had a “proper” wedding with family and friends. It was lovely.
Congrats! We had to do something similar. We felt like the wedding planning was going off the rails. So my husband asked if we just wanted to get hitched that weekend. Two days after christmas, we rushed and got an officiant. I feel like at the end, a small improv wedding is better than potentially a wedding we wouldn't have liked.
Congratulations! I think this was a very smart way to go about it. I have a few friends that did something similar, had a courthouse wedding then a full ceremony and reception a few months later. 💛🖤💛 I think depending on circumstances it's a great way to go about it.
The second wedding postponement video I watched this week. I'm sad that you guys face all these difficulties, but you're doing the right thing. Sending love and support ~
Would you maybe do a video on finding sewing supplies online? I'm quarantined and for some reason hooks and eyes don't qualify as "essentials" 😂 Preferably not Amazon, I have an intense hatred for them and I refuse to support a company that mistreats its employees. Stay safe, Annika, we love you!!!!
This made me cry! So many happy tears. Congratulations to you both!!Have a fantastic corona virus free not publicly married working honeymoon. Sort of. I want to see this in a movie so I can put it on rewind. My heart is full! Congrats again, and I’m still crying!
I totally clapped together with you during the intro... My friends also got married this past weekend, right before everything closed down. Congratulations to you, hope you get to have the big wedding at a later date
Heheheheh I knew it would have been this. Congrats and well done for giving yourselves something to celebrate within all the grossness. Happy for you guys. Also WHAT A STORY TO TELL NEW FRIENDS TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG Annika, firs - sorry you had to postpone! But most importantly, :)), I just want to jump for joy with you now - I just bought my first sewing machine!!! Bernina B35 - couldn't afford better but this should do?!... I'm so happy! I've been watching your tutorials for a few months and dreaming of upcycling my clothes forever... Finally, I get to live this dream!!! I love you so much
Lol you two are cute 💖 congratulations, there couldn’t be two sweeter people who compliment each other’s personalities💖💖💖 And I love how Lucí both requested and thanked people for social isolating. Unfortunately our PM is preferring to be a baby who spits the dummy rather than putting on his pants and getting things done! Stay safe (I assume you’re back home on Aussie?)
Congratulations you two! My own wedding was spur of the moment and then we went to Lowes in our formal wear XD. Love cannot be delayed or contained, and your happiness radiates through phones and computer screens worldwide!
Congratulations on being married! I'm sorry you had to postpone the celebration, but I'm sure it'll be wonderful once you can have it proper. I'm chronically ill but not immunosuppressed (fibro) but I'm staying in to protect my mom (she's in her sixties) and to protect others that are high risk.
That's 3 youtubers I follow who have had to have a Corona wedding. I'm sorry this happened with such bad timing for you, but it will be a great story and I'm sure the "real" ceremony/party in the future will be just as good as it would have been if it were on the original date. Stay safe and healthy❤
Awww congrats to u beautiful cool cats!! I have loved watching ur journey thus far u have handled everything so well! Enjoy ur forced at home time together! stay healthy sending love from the Central Coast 😘
Congratulations newlyweds! You are the best reason for us to stay put and starve the virus of fresh victims. I love all your videos Annika and your openness of life on the alternative side.
My husband and I couldn't afford a ceremony, so we scraped together some outfits, partially handmade, partially already owned and we got jackets from hottopic and we eloped in the same cemetery where we went on our first date. We always planned to do a vow renewal ceremony and invite everyone on a big anniversary, we are planning for our 10th, and I am actually much happier this way bc our kiddos will get to be involved in the ceremony too! 😍🖤
It helps to put a face to a young immunosuppressed individual because it seems like younger people assume that other young people are completely immune and it's not the case. congrats you two! Stay safe
congratulations to you both, and annika thank you for getting me into sewing im currently wearing a floor length full circle skirt dress because of you (it looks like a circus tent but i absolutely adore it, and i wouldnt have been able to without you, so thank you)
Congratulations!. I'm sorry you had to postpone your big wedding celebration, but this is the cutest most romantic way you could have done it in the situation. I'm social distancing (only going out when strictly necessary) I'm healthy but like you said I don't want to get it and possibly burden the health service or spread it to someone else, I also want to stay well for my parents who need my help right now. Your channel has always brought a smile to my lips. Stay safe and as healthy as you can.
My family definitely understands, my dad is compromised himself. So we understand the stress you’re under. We self isolated a week ago, we get it. Hoping you two continue to stay well, congratulations on your marriage! I’m so glad you guys managed it before needing to self isolate for your safety!
It all happened because YOU HAD OPENED THAT FRICKIN UMBRELLA INSIDE! :D Just kidding, of course. I’m happy for you guys being legally married and together through these tough times. Love wins, never forget it truly does. Your future celebration will be amazing and you still have a lot of time to plan everything!
It’ll be nice to say vows again, they can will be a reflection after months of marriage. Even though you guys were already living together so it’s not like that would have been an adjustment.
Oh my gosh, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you! Great thinking Lucci! I have two wedding dates and we celebrate them both every year. Your love is extra special this way! :-)
You guys are wonderful people and it’s so lovely to see some positivity in such a difficult time 💜 Sending my love from England. I’m getting married next year (so lucky) so I’m on some DIY Bride groups and we are all trying to help each other through this time because so many people have had to cancel :’( the support system is just amazing 😊 I really look forward to seeing your next dress video. Please stay well and look after each other xxx
Congratulations! You guys are so sweet, I'm so happy for you to be married! I think you did the right thing in unprecedented times and to be legally recognised as a couple could be worth even more than you thought if (god forbid) anything happens to either of you. Sending big loves from London.
Wow, what a story. I’m just imagining all your relatives rushing to the wedding like the end of the first Hangover movie haha! What incredibly supportive people you have in your lives. Congratulations to you both, I’m so happy that you were able to get legally married before all this happened! Can’t wait for the rest of the videos and your official ceremony, in the *hopefully near* future 🥰💍wishing you both the best, and stay safe in your home! Much love from the UK 🇬🇧💜💛
WOOOO!! I was expecting bad news but so happy to hear the BIG TWIST! A huge congratulations to you two and wishing you guys a happy and wonderful marriage! 😘😘
So basically...
“We has to postpone our wedding but also we shotgunned it”
LOL 😂
Your future grandchlidren : Gran'ma! Gran'ma! Tell us about your wedding !
Annika : Well, it all started with the ENTIRE COUNTRY ON FIRE preventing me from sewing my dress. Then, there was that global pandemic ... (let's hope the very dramatic 2020 plottwists end there 😅)

I don't know how they do it now, but story time: I'm Kurdish-Swedish, and many years ago I was visiting my extended family when my cousin was getting engaged. Finally, I get to live this dream!!! I love you so much
You guys!! Congratulations!!
What a lovely backstory and such a lovely couple!! Congratulations ❣️ 🎉🥳👏💛🐌💙🐇💚🐞🕉️🦋🍄🧡🌻💜
Lol you two are cute 💖 congratulations, there couldn’t be two sweeter people who compliment each other’s personalities💖💖💖
And I love how Lucí both requested and thanked people for social isolating.
Aw shit I love your podcast! You haven't updated in a while! Excited!
So excited for you despite any glitches. Love from Montana usa.
Congratulations Annika! Sometimes it's better not to wait because we are not promised tomorrow 💖 Blessings from Texas!
That's 3 youtubers I follow who have had to have a Corona wedding.
I'm sorry this happened with such bad timing for you, but it will be a great story and I'm sure the "real" ceremony/party in the future will be just as good as it would have been if it were on the original date. Stay safe and healthy❤
You could have the full wedding on your first anniversery! By the way, cracking up here in iowa in the US! You two are halarious!
Awww congrats to u beautiful cool cats!! I have loved watching ur journey thus far u have handled everything so well! Enjoy ur forced at home time together! stay healthy sending love from the Central Coast 😘
That ending genuinely made me laugh. Y’all are so cute. Hope you stay safe and healthy! So excited for your next videos!
big cry.!. so much congratulations and apologies about the pandemic messing with your good time.
Super congratulations
Congratulations newlyweds! You are the best reason for us to stay put and starve the virus of fresh victims. I love all your videos Annika and your openness of life on the alternative side.
Congratulations on your marriage, and here's to your wedding being amazing whenever it happens!
Congratulations guys I wish you two the best in your marriage!!! I so understand why you decided to get marry that way.
You're married!! Congratulations!!! 💕💕💕
imagine the grandchildren story tho. Like you could exaggerate it and make it seem you got married during the apocalypse.
Wow that's so great! I'm so happy that you made it work! It would have sucked to wait a year to get married, I totally understand your decicion!
Aaaaaw, that's just how it goes when you deal with what life hands you!
You're right, this is a great story for the ages
It helps to put a face to a young immunosuppressed individual because it seems like younger people assume that other young people are completely immune and it's not the case. congrats you two! Stay safe
Stay safe and healthy. It might be a last minute wedding but you made it work and made it your own. Congratulations 🎊
Oh, you crazy kids - congratulations!!!
Congrats! You got to have the rom com moment few people expect to have. I hope you both stay safe and comfortable. :)
So proud you are being responsible and so happy you still got your day! Congratulations, we're all so happy for the both of you!
congratulations to you both, and annika thank you for getting me into sewing im currently wearing a floor length full circle skirt dress because of you (it looks like a circus tent but i absolutely adore it, and i wouldnt have been able to without you, so thank you)
Maybe it was a nudist wedding? Just pixelate an entire wedding photo.
Stay safe and as healthy as you can.
congratulations you guys!! this video is so sweet and responsible. i love it.
My family definitely understands, my dad is compromised himself. So we understand the stress you’re under. We self isolated a week ago, we get it. Hoping you two continue to stay well, congratulations on your marriage! I’m so glad you guys managed it before needing to self isolate for your safety!
Wishing your family all the best ❤❤
It all happened because YOU HAD OPENED THAT FRICKIN UMBRELLA INSIDE! :D Just kidding, of course. I’m happy for you guys being legally married and together through these tough times. Love wins, never forget it truly does. Your future celebration will be amazing and you still have a lot of time to plan everything!
I will forever regret opening that umbrella and making a big deal out of how nothing bad would happen from it..... hahahahaha. Thank you though!!! ❤
Luci just said: "oh no so many anniversaries to remember" hahaha. I however LOVE this idea ❤
Oohhhh love this couple, congratulations! Also love those cringy lovey dovey moments ♥️ 🥂newlywed!
You guys are wonderful people and it’s so lovely to see some positivity in such a difficult time 💜
Sending my love from England. I’m getting married next year (so lucky) so I’m on some DIY Bride groups and we are all trying to help each other through this time because so many people have had to cancel :’( the support system is just amazing 😊
I really look forward to seeing your next dress video. Please stay well and look after each other xxx
Many congratulations and best wishes to the bride and groom! To many beautiful years to you both!!! Much love and happiness ❤️🌹🥰😁😁😁
CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏👏
Good for you and may you have many, many (many) happy years together!
Congrats!!! Is a silver lining among the madness happening around the world. Keep safe!!!
Congratulations! You guys are so sweet, I'm so happy for you to be married! I think you did the right thing in unprecedented times and to be legally recognised as a couple could be worth even more than you thought if (god forbid) anything happens to either of you.
Sending big loves from London.
Congratulations! You two are so lovely. I adore love stories!
