Hehehe that is really funny coz the 40s and 50s slang was taken from websites that had historical american slang! Maybe doing old slang with our Aussie accents just made it a WHOLE time haha
That final outfit with the purply dress and the red beret is fantastic!! After years of watching your videos for fun, I've finally bought a sewing machine and it's already brought me so much joy during the latter half of the melbourne lockdown :D
Wowowow that is SUPER exciting!!! I am so happy that it brought you so much joy, that lockdown looked really hard (some of our good friends were doing it), congrats on 8 days and 0 cases though!!!
Tailored shorts tutorial yes please!! You looked FABULOUS in all of your outfits, and zebra lady is an inspiration 🦓! Can relate, as I take great joy out of black and white cow patterns 🐮 I'm currently working on my first ever proper upcycle (jeans to skirt). I am uuuultra slow but having lots of fun. Can't wait until I can put together an outfit of self made cloths myself!
ALSO I WORK IN A BERNINA DEALERSHIP AND I JUST REALIZED YOU WERE IN OUR WINDOW!! I ALWAYS recommend your channel to people and its so cool to know you're in our shop too!! ^-^
2:46 Yeah, I think all of us get that, when people are used to seeing make-up glam then they react to our natural face as if it appears ill. It's a real downer. I stopped wearing makeup years ago, except for photos (because they wash you out) or extremely special occasions where "glamour" was the theme. It helped me a lot with my self-acceptance. I used to think my naked face was ugly. Now I see it as normal, and my makeup face is "glam". People got used to it pretty quickly, really. Within a year people had seen my naked face in all kinds of circumstances and moods, and understood the difference between "not made up" vs. "ill".
Other youtubers: Now time to talk about our sponsor... Me: *skips ahead* Annika: *Ridiculous skit starts* Me: oh boy I am so looking forward to this ad!
Ooooh I love Tuesday's blue top and that little cape you wore on Thursday 😍😍😍 would loooveee to see tutorials for them! Also, I can't believe the other video was two years ago already?? Wow. Thank you for this great video, you are wonderful! 🧡🧡🧡
Hehe the cape was meant to be a blouse with a peter pan collar, it was the first attempt at a pattern I had just made up. I didn't leave enough room at the bust & it wouldn't button up without gaping so.. I turned it into this strange cape-with-sleeves situation to make it wearable - but it actually turned out pretty cute! So a tutorial would be like... here's how to make a blouse and do it wrong so you get a cape hahaha. BUT I would quite like to do a proper capelet tutorial, so I'll definitely add it to my to-do list of vidoes! 😊 Ps. Isn't it wild that the last one of these was 2 years ago?? I feel like I just made it!!
Having watched most of your videos since 2018 when they were originally posted, I haven't really noticed your style changing (outside of the videos you explicitly made about changing your style 😂) so seeing those glimpses of the 2018 video was startling!
Your homemade ad breaks are turning into a secret surprise in every video 😄 every time I go to skip them I'm like, what's this? And watch the whole thing 💕
There are also lots of people like me. I am healthy, but because I have pale olive skin with dark circles I look sickly. I just don't have natural healthy rosy cheeks, that is where make-up comes in.
I get that too, and my chronic illness isn’t as debilitating as what some people have. Also: why don’t you smile more? “Ummm, because I’m in pain and/or severely nauseated at the moment?” Very frustrating...
This video was fanTAStic!! You definitely had an easier time pulling outfits together... and the bonus outfits! I'm so glad your body is allowing you to do more fun things lately. Physio is clearly working out to be a godsend, and that makes me VERY happy for you, aaand Luci, and sweet Ella, and your work schedule, and... and... Yep, good stuff. 😁 Mike's SquareSpace ad work is great, though the slang you both used was a little hard to catch. Not sure if it's an audio or cultural problem I had with it, tho. 20's (or just "old timey?") Aussie slang is something very new to me. OK, in conclusion: you're amazing, GREAT job, and I missed you very much, though I didn't realize it until now. Much love to you! 🤗🥰
Hehehehe, don't worry - the slang we used in the ad was kinda meant to be gibberish 🙈 It was all derived from websites that tracked slang in the US in the 1930s-50s, actually, but with our aussie accents it just made it a REAL TIME huh? Hahahaha. Thank you so much for your lovely comment as always, it is always a pleasure!!
Cuteness and skill overload! Great video, and so glad the zoom symposium (?) on youth with disabilities went well. I also wanted to say thank you for all your videos, I finally used your quartering technique for adding cuffs and it worked brilliantly. ❤
The amount of cute in this video is overwhelming. And all the Ella too. You look fabulous. ❤️ Also I just love the way you make the sponsor incorporated in your videos. You are the only you tuber I wach through sponsor segments instead of skipping. Also, don't listen to people. You look amazing both with and without makeup. ❤️
Oh I'm also glad you did another of these videos! I've watched the first one a few times and I'm loving watching your me made wardrobe grow and evolve. You are looking fabulous!
I love seeing how your style has evolved throughout the years. It's become so coherent and unique! You've helped me a lot in the curating of my handmade wardrobe. Thank you for sharing this, you're awesome 💜

I loved watching this updated version, it’s great to get so much satisfaction out of your me makes. Also your winged liner is on point! (I guess both literally and figuratively?)
The shorts tutorial would be really useful - I also discovered recently that I have hypermobile joints so comfy clothes - yay! Winter is close here but it's never to soon to prepare for the summer :D
It is fantastic to see you. Ohhhh I love seeing you try out wearing self made clothes for a week again. I think they made a great choice to have you talk to kids about disability. Yay, Annika!
I love the bishop-sleeve outfits the most, but damn that cut of the halterneck towards the end fit you amazingly! The best part of this was seeing you be able to be out and enjoy yourself, though. I'm also really happy I have the spoons to watch your stuff again, you really help kickstart my creativity and I'm so grateful for that.
Love your outfits and as someone chronically ill, i just admire how much you get done. I never feel like I'm able to accomplish what i want to. Oh and yes please to the shorts tutorial!
As an MUA I loved the makeup portion of this video! Loving how your handmade wardrobe has changed and expanded over time. You can really see how skilled you have become!
oooh yes please show us how to make those shorts, I'd love them in so many fabrics!!! (I've bought 3 similar pairs but they're all way too short for me to be comfy in, so make what we can't buy ftw!) I love the bonus outfits, the two pinafores are amazing!
I love seeing other people’s handmade wardrobe! I am working on creating more solid colored pieces as when I first got into sewing clothes I went nuts for prints! I also need to add more bottoms, so I’d love to see how you upcycle your tailored shorts!
Yay! Sewing for unique issues! It sucks to have issues, but it rocks to have the ability to deal with it and create comforting clothes or stuff to help.

Great outfits and so I so want the dress on Bonus 1 and 3. Layerable dresses are my thing right now as I aim for a year-round wardrobe (besides pants).
Oh I totally understand the frustration of hot flashes in your 20's. I had to donate all of my clothes that are made from synthetic fabric's because I have p.o.t.s (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) due to having hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome) and I would have hot flashes and nearly faint any time I wore synthetics particularly in QLD humid summers, so now I can only wear natural fibres which is difficult because barely any women's clothes are made with them, but I'm slowly making my own thanks to your videos. Also I find it really interesting how hypermobility can affect people so differently, because I can't stand elasticated waistbands because my core is super sensitive, but I know so many fellow zebras who love them like you do. I love the zebra tape 🙂
Thank you for sharing. I don’t know the cause, but I have similar issues. I never thought about the fabric but that explains a lot. Like, I used to nearly pass out every time I got my hair cut, even without them using heat tools, and I never considered it could be the smock...
Omg I never thought my hot flashes might be hEDS/HSD related! (I've a partial diagnosis for HSD but still being sorted out rn) - there are so many things I'm like "lol idk why this happens" that have been explained by ~connective tissue disorder~ this year!!! Including why I am always bruised and clumsy and also, why I have migraines!
@@AnnikaVictoria24 Oh I totally understand how much of a nightmare it is getting a diagnosis sorted (especially if your young and female). So many things are tied to hEDS/HSD it ridiculous, I've had my 'official' diagnosis for a year now and there's still so many things I'm realising aren't normal for everyone and aren't how bodies are supposed to work that are explained by my hEDS and comorbidities particularly the clumsiness, bruises and migraines. The most recent realisation was that for the last 10 years half of the panic attacks I thought I was having were actually my body trying not to faint. I know how annoying it can be to get unsolicited advice from people but thought I'd at least mention in case it's at all useful, I find my hot flashes are calmed a bit by high salt and fluid intake. I hope your health stays stable and your diagnosis process is easy. :)
But wait! You want to see some bloops? 🧐
