Cheapest Suspension seat for Zero Turn Mower

This is the cheapest suspension I could find for my mower. Used a universal tractor seat. Worked great, even got the safety switch to work. I talk about the "new" gator blades at the end.

Correction the not gator Blades, it is a Maxpower by Copperhead mulching blade.

I got lucky and found some blades that have crazy good lift if thats what you like. Cheap too. Look on amazon for “USA Mower Blades U11185BP”
Just watch your eyes and wear a dust mask when cutting over dried up stuff or fine dirt.

Thanks for this video! Here in Australia we have a prolific amount of African love grass and the Tufts are spread out and quite thick so it's like mowing over a rocky creek bed, after 6 hours doing 5 acres my back is destroyed hopefully this is the answer!!

How did you raise the steering bars. I was going to bend new ones but it looks like you just added on to the original. Can you take a close up and explain. The seat went on with Ease.

That was one of my options (used one) but I was afraid the thick cushion and air ride would have been too tall.

that's why you have to use two Gator blades and one hi-lift mulching blade works perfect in my lawn care business

Did recenly sama modification for my lawntractor. But the problem is that it rises the seating height. Now i am sitting like on long pendlum and pendlum amplitude is biger than before with original seat. So im not sure my modification made thing better for my back.

I just copied the org seat cut a hole in the base and the sensor goes in the under the foam. Had to trace on paper the shape of the org hole

Cut a hole out in the base just like the OEM seat. Use the OEM switch

@@sweetpigfarm3645 How did you cut the hole? It has a pretty big oval switch activator, or did you take that off and just use the switch plunger? Was it long enough to get through both the base and seat to activate or did you put "stuffing" in between the plunger and seat base cushion to activate?

Mines just Mounts straight to the mower 😂 I need some suspension especially with my mower it goes 11mph

Mine is the same way except it goes 26mph. I converted it to an electric go kart but the seat hurts

@@danielauen7790 I guess the price to value is relative in your case. Our zero turn was $7,499 making a sub $200 suspension seat a reasonable value.

@@davidb.4342 Yea, Im looking for a seat to put on my $120 engineless dynamark, and considering at the time of me making that comment I was making about $240/month, yep, definantly relative, also lost my job since then. so now Im making even less.
Might just have to take the damaged seat of the husqvarna engine doner mower.
