I had this mower and same seat, I only got about 1150hrs out that mower and sold it, one transmission went totally out the other started leaking and the deck was totally gutted in the inside, it got used for sure.
I know this is a 4 year old video but Seat Warehouse LLC is no longer in business. My 10 year old Snapper Pro S50xt still runs and cuts great. I am looking for a seat upgrade and saw your video. Thanks
i bypassed the seat switch and made a kill switch connected to my pto for the mower deck. when i get up the motor runs and the blade disengages. Whoever engineered the cutoffs wasn't too bright.... why cut the entire engine down when you can just kill the pto and stop and danger when dismounting. I have a kid.....
So I had the same problem with the safety switch on this seat, I swapped the switch with the one from the factory seat on my Husqvarna and it fixed the issue
That makes sense. Not all switches are the same. The one Tony had looked like a simple on/off switch, but the one on my Snapper is a three way switch. It has to let current through when you're starting the engine and when you release the brake. But it has to cut off the ignition switch when the brake isn't engaged.
@@dagrote1 Yeah apparently there are a few different kinds of switches on various mowers, I actually contacted the manufacturer and they sent me one of the correct switches for my mower so now I have a spare.
Tony, Thank you for that review, no many lawncare sites have actually talked about the seat situation. many of the high end Gravely's and others now have an air suspension seat, but this is great to know you can add to any model. You always seem to find those things relevant to the industry to talk about Keep up the great work!
Thank you Tony....you did something the seller of the seat couldn't even do....show function of the seat lol. I'm curious have you ever ridden a Grammer seat on a mower before? If so how does this compare? Also after a year do you still enjoy your purchase?
@@tonyslawncare Thanks for the reply, after watching your video I decided to buy two of them, one for my 15 acre homestead 721D and my company 930D grasshoppers.
@@tonyslawncare Well a small update, thank you for the video I love the seat. It's not as good as a grammar seat (48 hours usage) but my back doesn't ache after mowing all day with this seat (80 hours in). I would say this seat is half the shock absorber as the grammar and the material doesn't breathe at all. I ended up fixing a towel to mine so I wont get swamp ass after 12 hours straight of mowing lol. That said my back feels fantastic now and it's worth the $400 I spent and I'm happy with the result.
Safety is way over-rated, leave it bypassed. I have a tractor/loader and when I lean to either side to a branch doesn't take out an eye, the motor wants to shutdown. I "fixed" that.
Ok Tony I'm a knats butt away from pulling the trigger on this. I just measured my bolt pattern and it'll be a direct fit on my Husqvarna. I know here lately my lower back has been brutalized after all day on the mower. I know it's only been a short time but are you still pleased with the seat? Thanks love the videos! How bout all this rain??!!
Hey buddy seat still going great only mod i did was i cut off 1/2 inch of one of the knobs on the side cause it was rubbing gas tank but i don't think it would do that on your husky. Snappy is so narrow. This rain is nuts
Awesome Tony! How much higher would you say you are sitting up with the new seat? I just purchased the Ferris IS600 48". Think my back would love this but the salesman said that they sit up significantly higher. Was a little concerned with that with weight distribution on hills. Thanks man and thanks for your videos!
Also a question on your old Ferris 48. I notice how many bolts there are when you lift the seat up...etc. Did you ever haven any issues with them coming loose and leaving you stranded? Seems like an awful lot of bolts to have to check all of the time and was just wondering if it caused any issues for you while you had your mower over those 800 hours? Thanks a bunch and happy trails with your new Snapper Pro!! :)
Craig Burkey no bolts ever came loose on my ferris and i think you should put this seat on there it would make it even better. The salesman just didnt want to have to order you one Lol its maybe a couple inches higher not too much
Thanks Tony! I might just have to get the seat. Great to know that the bolts didn't come loose also. And maybe you can answer a question i posted elsewhere. Don't know if he will see it since the vid was from several years ago. I think i want to keep my chute on the mower and just bungee cord it up but i don't know what length bungee cord to get and or style. I see they make several different durabilities and styles. I may even drill a hole in it near the end so i can just hook it up and secure it that way. Don't know which way i'm going to go on that. Thanks again!
Craig Burkey drill the hole and just use one 20 inches or so it doesnt have to be perfect thats why its a bungee LOL i got a assortment container of em from harbor freight. And measure the holes with a tape measure it gives you the measurements on the website
Go on the website of the seat it gives you the exact measurements then measure your mower. You could always drill acouple holes aslong as your metal platform is wide enough
I bypass all my zero turn seats for this reason every time I get off the mower to pick up sticks or trash I don't wanna have to turn pto off and re engage blades I feel like it saves me time and it saves heavy duty wear on the pro clutch turning blades on and off so much just something to think about! I'm gonna look into a new seat for my 52 inch. Great video buddy !!!
Dam....your garage needs better lighting. Lol
Grasspro i got some nice shop lights need to install em lol
I have this seat on my Snapper Pro. I really love it!
Its a great one
I had this mower and same seat, I only got about 1150hrs out that mower and sold it, one transmission went totally out the other started leaking and the deck was totally gutted in the inside, it got used for sure.
how you like this seat vs new standard suspension seat?
As long as you have some kind of suspension seat you will be good
I have a toro myride zero turn..u think it will fit it
I do! Worst case you gotta drill acouple holes but it could work
I know this is a 4 year old video but Seat Warehouse LLC is no longer in business. My 10 year old Snapper Pro S50xt still runs and cuts great. I am looking for a seat upgrade and saw your video. Thanks
Bro thats awesome!! Im still using this mower and seat everyday im sure there is a new source to get it from?
I love the Trump sticker on the car! You are all right 100%.
Appreciate you watching

Thats a great idea bro
It looks like seat warehouse is no longer open.
I just googled seat wearhouse and website worked that way check it out
I've had seat switches give me problems in the field before, so have bypassed all of mine.
Gotcha makes since

Bro you need lights in your garage lol
I have some now lol
more videos in the dark! lol
I have good shop lighting now👍
After watching this I did this to my Hustler raptor limited and it's the best mod any one who cuts for long periods of time.👍
I agree 100%

Tony, Did you get the seat working, you last few Videos have been on the scag, I know you had issues with the Wiring.
Stuart Spicer seat has been great will do a full 10 hour update of it Saturday

This has been a great purchase still zero issues with it for 350 this is the best seat out there
