Hi, John! Soooooo impressed with the thoroughness of your demonstrations (just watched your unboxing video)!!! I asked for a demonstration of the baking function (since that's what a lot of us will use, I am sure) on the other video but, just in case you see this one first... I am especially interested in cakes - either 1 or 2 9x3 inch round baking pans. I think that you might already have 9x2s and those would be fine, too. I am also dying to know how it does a dozen cookies!!! Thanks again for your time and patience with me!!!

Well This convinced me. Just ordered myself an early Christmas gift lol. I have been wanting an air fryer, but they all seemed so small. This should be perfect for all my needs. Too bad it doesn't come with a range on top. That would make it a perfect gift for the college bound. Thanks

Ordered the XL because have wanted to try air fryer for a while. Very curious about the turkey because I usually cook two at Thanksgiving. I will cook one at Easter for practice. Thank you for demo. Very useful. Surprised there was no juice. I expected that to be a problem. I guess that shows my complete ignorance on air fryer cooking.

That is great looking turkey. You win the blue ribbon 🥇. Are the pans non stick? Do you think it would have come.out differently if you used the Airfryer setting? Can you compare it to the Breville smart oven air?
The pans cleaned up very well... how does this one compare to the Ninja Digital Air Fry Oven? I'm undecided as to which one to get and haven't found anyone else that has both. Thanks in advance for the info.
@@JohnSanders thanks for making the content. I only mention it because I decided to try both the ninja pro and that one for comparison and so far the kitchenaid is doing better overall. Keep rocking the content man, tc
@@JohnSanders its not, but I used the air fryer basket from the ninja and it produced better results in the convection bake setting. I think its because it has 2 convection fans which u imagine makes the difference
Apparently they are coming out with a new oven looks the same has 2 extra buttons with a temperature probe like the foodie grill pro. I like the reviews so much I hope this new oven is out soon in the US. The current model without the probe is DT201...
Good morning, I'm a new subscriber who thanks you for your informative videos. I love my ninja appliances and will try this hopefully for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my oven is defective so hopefully I'll get a replacement in time.
Did you need to drain and "juices/fat" during cooking? Which do you like best? The Ninja Foodi Power XL Pro Oven Air or the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer for everyday use?
Wow! That turnkey looks perfect, John! I'm loving your recipes and reviews of this new Ninja....as I said last night....I'm anxious to see your comparison with the Breville...please understand, no pressure on you...I can wait...Thanks again, and love your videos and channel..

How much external heat is generated? Can it be operated under upper kitchen cabinets? Also wondering with the air fryer function and the rear fan if the glass door gets covered in grease?
It can be ran under cabinets... I think they recommend 1 inch clearance on all sides... the glass has not gotten oil on it in the times I have used it... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
I will have follow up videos but I will say that the other Ninja oven i have had been in use for a year or more and I have never had an issue... but if problems occur I will let everyone know...thanks for watching!!!
Good video and will certainly try this! Two suggestions: 1. A good Philly Cheesesteak would be a good test for the next video. :) 2. I’ve seen you cook hamburgers before. But, have you ever tried a grill plate of some kind to “sear” the hamburger to make the grill marks or anything? Don’t know if that would work or not but it would be an interesting video! Keep up the great work! 👍🏻
I think everyone... especially with a device they are learning to use should have some type of instant read thermometer... you can find them really cheap and I think they are priceless when it comes to cooking... thank you for watching!!!
Do you have any idea what temperature, function and time I need to use to roast a vegetable medley of fresh veggies, such as carrots, cauliflour, broccoli, potatoes? I have the 10 in 1 air pro. So far I love it and I have learned so much from your videos.
Yes...It was juicy and as good as any i have ever cooked in an oven which has been a long time.... for the last 10 years or so I either deep fry them or spatchcock and cook on green egg... but this turkey was very impressive... and I would not hesitate to do another...thanks for watching!!!
It sounds like your fan is hitting something. Yours makes a metallic chinking noise on shut down. I ordered one because of your reviews and mine sounds much different. Smooth amd quiet. I did notice that the fan speeds vary on the setting. Air fry it goes into turbo vs bake which is a much lower rpm
The fan in mine is making a slight noise... my micrograms does magnify it but it is definitely there...I may contact Ninja before long but it has not caused a problem yet... the fan changes stored with different functions and does not run at all on some of them... very neat system for sure...thanks for watching!!!
I am interested in how well the oven works on the airfry function. The turkey was done on roast function, which I think is different than airfry. Have you tried french fries or chicken wings on airfry? I also watched your other video that showed the pizza, bagel, and toast function. thank you
We have been searching and searching for a well made Air Fryer, I was ready to give up until our Nephew recommended the Ninja brand, and after watching this video I will be placing and order for the DT251 XL Pro model A.S.A.P. I'm just astounded that this cook a 13lb whole Turkey in 1hr and 10 min, I haft to confessed that I was expecting the White meat to be Gummy Looking, but it looked like it was perfectly done.
Both the turkeys... this one and the the one i Brined were both the best tasting and best looking turkeys i have ever cooked in an oven... I honestly did like the Brine one slightly better but they were both excellent... very glad you enjoyed the video and I feel positive you will love the oven... thank you for watching!!!
Well this Piece Of Chinese made JUNK didn't last long, first the LED lights on the Timer and Temp controls started to go out, then the Interior light stopped Working, Then the Fan locked up all with in a year, Calls to Ninja were ignored or I was even Hung Up On, after being placed on Hold for 40 minutes, Luckily I Purchased this JUNK on Amazon and spent the extra money to purchase their Extended Warranty, one Call to them, and I had a Return number and FREE Return Shipping label Emailed to me, and My Full Amount Refunded to me the same day as it shipped, NINJA = Chinese Made JUNK
I have this oven and it's been great!...one thing I noticed right away in your video is that it sounds like your fan in your oven is rubbing on the metal panel...I could hear it...might wanna check it out.
Another great video. When i cook a turkey in the big oven or the Wolfgang Puck Toaster Pressure Oven I start it off upside down. Then when I turn it right way up I cover it loosely with foil to stop the breast cooking too much before the legs get cooked. You didn’t do none of this and it came out perfect! That looked real good and so easy. That oven is now on my wish list. Just got to think what appliance is going to lose it’s place on the counter top. Probably say goodbye to Wolfgang Puck.
That does sound like a lot of steps...i was very impressed with not only how perfect the turkey looked on the top but how it was just as good on both sides... glad you ebullient the video and thanks for watching!!!
I'm not really sure...a lot of variables sure add the temp of items when they go on etc... a instant read thermometer would be best... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
Thank you... glad you enjoyed it and I love New York!!! Only got to visit one time and I will say that I did get some strange looks when I spoke...lol...thanks for watching!!!
I keep asking the same question Jon Sanders you are not replying Does the pro thermometer come with this Ninja Air fryers Or Where do I get them Also What size is this Ninj 8 inch XL OR 10 inch XL please Reply I need to go ahead to buy but not until u let me know ????????
I'm not sure i understands the question but the 3 XL oven models are all the same size and none are 8 or 10... the only one with a probe is the smart Oven which is the DT251... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
This is amazing. I have the "fold up" Ninja oven, I LOVE it. But I have taller baking dishes that I can't put in it. I figure if I use that every day, I would certainly use this one every day!

I am sure it could...i did consider putting some vegetables in it and may do that next...thanks for watching!!!
You reviewed the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro years ago - how does this compare? Between the two, which do you prefer and why?
Do you have any idea what temperature, function and time I need to use to roast a vegetable medley of fresh veggies, such as carrots, cauliflour, broccoli, potatoes? I have the 10 in 1 air pro. So far I love it and I have learned so much from your videos.
I would try 15 to 20 minutes at 375° Fahrenheit... but it really depends on how you like them... hope this helps and thank you for watching!!
Hey, what thermometers did you use in the videos? Looks like you used 2 different ones.
The wireless ones are "Meater" and the red one is a Thermapen MK4 ...thanks for watching!!!
I couldn’t tell after the turkey was sliced. Did it turn out juicy?
Yes...It was juicy and as good as any i have ever cooked in an oven which has been a long time.... for the last 10 years or so I either deep fry them or spatchcock and cook on green egg... but this turkey was very impressive... and I would not hesitate to do another...thanks for watching!!!
John Sanders Thanks! Love your vids. Especially on the Xl pro oven. I bought one last week and everybody wants to use it! Best Kitchen Appliance EVER.
It is a very useful and impressive unit... glad you enjoy the videos Scott!!!
I also watched your other video that showed the pizza, bagel, and toast function. thank you
I have a couple of videos on the works that I hope will help answer that...thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders oh sure sure, leave me in suspense... I guess I will wait (impatiently, LOL).
Hopefully not waiting too long!!
Does the outside get super hot? I’m finding mixed reviews on that online! Thank you so much!
It does get pretty hot... nothing more than any other countertop oven i have had but it is hot... how this helps and thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders yes, it does! Thank you so much! Love watching your reviews, gained another sub!
Thank you!!!
My oven died tonight B4 thanxginving. How long to roast without a meat thermometer??
I'm not really sure...a lot of variables sure add the temp of items when they go on etc... a instant read thermometer would be best... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
As a new yorker! I like your southern accent very funny and hapoy!! 😂😂😂thank you for this video!
Thank you... glad you enjoyed it and I love New York!!! Only got to visit one time and I will say that I did get some strange looks when I spoke...lol...thanks for watching!!!
I keep asking the same question Jon Sanders you are not replying
Does the pro thermometer come with this Ninja Air fryers Or Where do I get them Also What size is this
Ninj 8 inch XL OR 10 inch XL please Reply I need to go ahead to buy but not until u let me know ????????
I'm not sure i understands the question but the 3 XL oven models are all the same size and none are 8 or 10... the only one with a probe is the smart Oven which is the DT251... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
This is amazing. I have the "fold up" Ninja oven, I LOVE it. But I have taller baking dishes that I can't put in it. I figure if I use that every day, I would certainly use this one every day!
I have them both also and this one is definitely getting more use!! Both are nice though...thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders I'm planning to give my smaller one away to someone who needs it (because it's only around six months old and really nice. I don't need two but I think (when I can finally find this one) I will enjoy the larger one a lot. I cook, we never go out. I love to cook and I love my kitchen "gadgets."
That gifting idea is a good one!... and...cooking and kitchen gadgets are a really neat hobby to have!!!
Beautiful turkey sir!!! What size is it?
I think it was a 12 pounder...
was the skin crispy? Thank you!
I honestly don't remember other than it was one of the best I've ever cooked...I was genuinely impressed...
@@JohnSanders No problem, thank you for getting back to me anyway!! Can't wait to do it this year!
Just purchased FOODIE NINJA DT201,
BUT IT SAYS DT200
LABEL IN BACK...
IT SAY DT200 SERIES...ON BOOKLET
YOU HAVE IT THERE CAN YOU SEND ME THE LABEL THAT SHOWS DT201...
also no cover for light bulb is that missing?
I'm not home right now but if the controls on the handle have the options that the DT201 are supposed to have then that is what matters... one of mine has the incorrect label on the back but it has the functions it is supposed to have... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
Please tell me the name of your thermometer and he screen? Where did you buy it?
I think I used the "Meater" in that video which is connected to my tablet...
Thanks John sanders..we are Buy this one soon..we have the NINJA FOODI OL750eu AND The NINJA FOODI AF400eu at home...Greetings from the Netherlands..henk and wilke
Where's the turkey grease? Does the oven make it evaporate a little due to the fan? Great video!
I didn't think so... the skin was crispy and it was better than any turkey I have ever cooked in an oven...I was impressed...thanks for watching!!!
I remember a video you were showing you had toast in there and I sought smoking is that why you have it out on the patio
I'm not sure which video and I do not have the Ninja on the patio...I have my Breville outside on a covered patio but not for smoking issues... it just works there better for my needs at this time...thanks for watching!!!
