Melbourne ealy 90s i worled at a tyre franchise called Toms Tyres the state manager /regional manager bought new a SV5000 and it was just out of this earth ,it sounded amazing and went way fast ,im no Holden expert i just appreciate good cars and this one was outstanding ,is your wagon a version of these sedans ,quality videos mate keep up the good work
Thanks Peter, When the LE was released there was no such thing as a clubsport, being the only offical HSV model wagon, it is closest thing to a SV5000 in wagons, but would sit in the midway between the later clubsport and SV5000 as the SV5000 was the premium luxury model with more refined trim, half leather and velour.. LE wagons did have the option of full leather trim to close the gap. The LE was released before the SV5000, Mechanically the LE had the standard HSV power plant 180KW carried over from the previous SV89, the SV5000 had the more powerful 200KW motor, that SV5000 would have been awesome, hopefully it’s a survivor and still out there somewhere
Thank you as always… recommending would be tuff, not many regular panel shops are interested in this type of work, so many didn’t want to touch mine.. what type of budget you looking at? You in Syd?
@GTZ05 Hi many thanks for your response. Yes based in Camden area. Not sure what they charge for a resto these days. Mainly paint and some panel repairs?? Mechanical side I can do myself. Just wondering what a the price range starts from these days 🤔 Cheers 👍🤘😎🇦🇺🍻
@@anonymity6876 closed door starts from about 10K, no rust repairs etc… I was lucky to save some cash by stripping it down myself. some places quoted me 15K. I’d like to see you LE someday
