I'm so glad I found your channel. I've had tinnitus for about 7 years and it is pretty severe. The spikes are overwhelming. I tell my wife they sound like air sirens going off in my head and this started about 2 years ago. The spikes generally last 3-7 days and I get them several times a month. Normally, the ringing is around a level 8-9. I was to the point where I told my doctor that I no longer wanted to be here. I got a tinnitus sound alleviator app and started sound therapy about a week ago. I just pray that over time this will help.

@treblehealth I watched your video: gold-standard tinnitus treatment 2023. This taught me so much. This is where I found out about sound therapy. I believed there was no hope and would have to deal with this the rest of my life and that was causing me a tremendous amount of mental strain. On normal days the ringing is as loud or louder than the environment around me and when the spikes happen they are almost unbearable. Any reduction that I can get will be a blessing. Thank you for all that you do for us that are suffering from this hell.

I love your new hair look! I've been doing masking since I first came across you on RUclips. Crickets work best for me, but it hasn't gone away totally ever. It's more tolerable. I found something weird happened. I went to a rock concert about a year ago, and on the way home, my tinnitus was gone totally. I kept saying wow! Over and over. But more recently, the tinnitus was louder and more annoying than usual (about a week). I tried different masker's, and I could still hear the tinnitus, so I put the masker a bit louder than I normally do. & I got better results. I didn't get total silence, but it was better for a number of days. My ENT said I have good hearing with mild age related(65)hearing loss.. also been doing ear massages, and I'm getting an interesting eustation feeling(maybe good). Thank you for your channel you've helped from day one

    • @sandrag8656

Maybe this helps to connect some dots.
I get sudden hearing losses again and again, since my first huge one about 7 years ago.
It hasn't totally recovered but it allways recovers to some degree.
Sometimes it's so little, that I don't notice the hearing loss, BUT I notice an increase of tinnitus after that each time.
In my case tinnitus gets worse in recovery phase.
It also gets worse when I get heat wafes (because of menopause) or in summer when it's hot.
I notived this connection by regularily using an app to measure my hearing capacity.
Mabe it's the same with you? Maybe your hearing decreased becajse of concert (without you noticing it), and then your tinnitus got louder in recovery?

I developed tinnitus after a corona infection. My ears were clogged, dysfunction of the eustachian tube and a weird clicking in my ears when I swallowed. I was sick for 3 weeks, but the ear dysfunctions remained. The worst 3 months of my life for sure. This video helped me sleep, but luckily my tinnitus is gone now. For anyone who is panicking right now and searching shit on the internet: don't do it, you'll only stress more about it and your tinnitus will get worse. Stress is your worst enemy. It CAN go away, it takes time (it can still go away after 6-12 months.) Believe me, I know it's hard I've been there too. Go for a walk, listen to music (not too loud), do the things you normally do. You can do this.

It's essential to follow up with an ENT and an audiologist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide further insights into your specific condition and recommend appropriate management strategies. Additionally, if you're experiencing hearing difficulties, wearing hearing aids can be beneficial as they not only improve hearing but also often help with tinnitus by providing sound enrichment and distraction.
