You're a wonderful teacher because you take the time to explain WHY. I learned how to crochet five years ago by following along one of your scarf videos. Thank you, Robin! I'm still watching every video you give us.
Thank you Robin for another beautiful tutorial. You really made it look so doable, your explanations are always clear and concise. Can’t wait to give this stitch a try. Even though I packed up most of my yarn (moving ugh) I sure kept my yarn within arms reach 😂. Your the best Robin ❤. gayle
Oh wow!! This looks like an excellent stitch for a scrap yarn blanket! I’m so excited - going to go diving into my scrap yarn basket now. Thank you, Robin! You’re really the best in the business! ❤
Lovely stitch Robin and there are no so many ends to tidy up. Similar look to basket weave, just easier I think. A break from granny squares. Thank you so much as I always look forward to your Tuesdays videos 😂😂 🧶Maria🧶
Well! Now I'm going to have to make a chenille blanket with this stitch too! I'm working on making a C2C JAYG gingham blanket now, and I'm a few rows in, but I'm genuinely considering frogging it and using this stitch instead. C2C JAYG isn't hard once you get going, but there's a lot of ends to manage, and chenille yarn is a real pain when it comes to end management.
Beautiful stitch and the video is very easy to follow with clear instructions. I was just wondering about one thing though... how would you work down the sides when putting on a border? Thank you for all your hard work you put in to your videos, it shows.
This looks great and easier than I thought 😜 Could you use this to make a blanket? And where those floaters are on sides… how could you do a simple border around the blanket then to also cover up those sides where the floaters are? 😊 Thank you for sharing this. 💜🥰💜
Love this stitch. 🥰 If you only wanted to use two colors, would you single crochet (with the second color) back to the side where you changed colors from the first? I hope I'm explaining correctly.
Thank you for sharing your videos, another blanket to keep my arthritic fingers moving! Your pink/green/white project is very pretty! I thought initially this was going to be a hard pattern. Lol. Definitely not! Cheers to you and all fellow crochet followers. 💐
Beautiful pattern! I also love the puff flower tutorial! I am glad you are making more videos again. You are one of the first persons that I followed on you tube. Thanks for sharing Your talent!
I ran across the Trio blanket which seems very similar to the stitch here, except it uses 6+4 and a HDC on the first row. I bought 3 different colorways of the Scheepjes Whirl cakes for it; now I'm torn as to whether to follow what you did or the Trio pattern. She uses a 'fancy' stitch at the end to avoid the bigger holes a chain 3 for the DC leaves at the edge. Do you think that's an issue? I've never used a patter with DC stitch; I have knitted for years but just taught myself crochet for the amigurumis and baby blankets. You're my favorite instructor!!
I'm actually making my grandson a pocket scarf using this stitch. I love it, its so easy. Actually hard to mess up which is awesome for a frog queen like myself😂😂. Great tutorial Robin!!!!! Tyfs God bless you
Alright, Robin, you’ve convinced me. Trying this one out this weekend, lol. I’ve been eyeing this pattern for ages, and have the perfect baby blanket project for it.
You can use as many or as few colours as you wish! You might not be able to float the yarn up the sides but if you're happy weaving in the ends then that's not a problem!
Very lovely .. always a beaut pleasure to watch your clips and you working your very beautiful stitch work. Another wonderful stitch pattern too. Cheers from Western Australia.✌🏻🩷🌷🌿
I just got into crocheting after knitting for about 12 years since first grade, because my brother is having twins! I have to say your tutorials are so easy to follow along, 100% the best I have come across
I was thinking of so many color combinations watching this! I like dark colors, but appreciate you showing us in the lighter ones so I know what I am doing! I've made so many things from your tutorials! You are amazing!! Oh, I finally saw your beautiful face today. I searched you on Google, and saw you in a video with another maker. I didn't expect the blue hair, but you totally pull it off! 💙💙💙 Thank you for all of your hard work!
I wonder if this would look nice with a neutral tone variegated yarn and maybe a solid blue for some beach/summer vibes. 🤔 Either way, delightful stitch Miss Robin! So glad youre back! 💕 🧶
What kind of border would you recommend for this blanket? Do you think you could do four stitches on either end and then put the border around the outside stitches to give the edges a cleaner look with still having the three stitches along the sides? Just brainstorming! It's a lovely blanket. I have been commissioned to make baby blankets for new moms at our church, and I think this would be a good candidate.❤🧶❤️🧶❤️
This stitch reminds me of a tea cozy I knitted many years ago. The completed tea cozy resembled a basket of flowers, although I did buy ready made flowers for that since I couldn't crochet at the time.
All experts are not good teacher. But u are also expert and good teacher. We all want more and more designs from U . I m from kolkata West Bengal . India ❤
I'm in love with this pattern. Do you have a written version of this pattern? I teach two crochet classes and I know my students would love to learn this pattern. Fantastic work. Great video. I am now a subscriber. :) Thanks so much!!
@@HookedbyRobin Thank you very much. I see that you've added the written pattern to your website. YAY!!! I have a question about the carried-up strands. Is there a way to hide them as they are a different color from the stitches they are lying up against? Do you think a border would work with this pattern? I really love this pattern and am teaching it today in my class. Great job!!! 👏👏👏
Robin I love the look of this pattern. I always feel a blanket needs a final boarder to gives it a finished look. What kind of boarder would you suggest?
Thank you Robin! You always explain things clearly and your projects are absolutely gorgeous.I LOVE your tutorials. And this stitch looks soooo pretty.💕
This is a beautiful stitch!! I always get so excited when there is one that I can do with confidence! Thank you for your lovely tutorials! I’m very grateful! ❤️💕🙏🏼

Thank you Brenda, it is such a good stitch!🧶
My mind was blown when you first showed the magic of carrying yarn when you have 3 colors. This is a cool stitch for it!

As a knitter for decades, ive always floated strands up the side,
i was just about to type that its something knitters have always done
You are an excellent teacher. You take the time to explain and show how to do the project. Thank you
Thank you so much! 🥰
So pretty! Thank you for tutorial ❤️✅️💯
You’re welcome 😊
Hey Robin, I'm actually a beginner...I wanted to ask that can we use this pattern while making a bucket bag/drawstring bag?
I don't see why not!

Chenille and ends are a nightmare combination! This would be GORGEOUS in a soft chenille 😍
Wow, so close to 800k and very well deserved, too 😊
It's a rather overwhelmingly large number! 😳
@@HookedbyRobinyou work very hard for it, so please enjoy 😊
Beautiful stitch and the video is very easy to follow with clear instructions. I was just wondering about one thing though... how would you work down the sides when putting on a border? Thank you for all your hard work you put in to your videos, it shows.
I sandwich in the floats - so crochet the border as normal but crochet over the floats as you go - it hides them all completely! 😀
This looks great and easier than I thought 😜
Could you use this to make a blanket?
And where those floaters are on sides… how could you do a simple border around the blanket then to also cover up those sides where the floaters are? 😊

💜🥰💜
You can pop any border you fancy on! Simply treat it the same as any other blanket when bordering, just sandwich the floated tails in as you go :)
Summer, beautiful 😻❤️ thank you 👍🏾

I was recently asked to make a blanket for someone and I've been looking for the right pattern for her. Right on time! This is it.

Personally, given how expensive the Whirls are, I'd follow the Trio blanket pattern as it's been designed for the fine yarn :)
@@HookedbyRobin Hadn't thought about how tiny fingering weight is. I may finish when the baby is 5, if I'm lucky.
