I was a student of André’s for two years when he first started teaching. Flash forward about five years since I’ve seen him last, and I’m running a game of D&D with my buddies. TTCP pops up in my feed, likely as a result of the algorithm blending military documentaries and D&D videos, and imagine my shock when I hear the man who got me to the high school shed building state finals. Anyhow, congratulations on nerd cave 2.0 Travis, it looks great. And congratulations André on retiring. Your channel has gotten my D&D group (all military history nerds and a couple of veterans) into Bolt Action.

@@andreleineke7219 I’m still bummed that we didn’t go with my suggestion of “Ready to get hammered” for that shirt, but I have mine too. I’d love to face off against the great Lightning Leineke and see what I can learn! I don’t have my own force ready yet, but I’m building some Heer Grenadiers, paratroopers and GIs at the moment. Do you still have the same phone number?

I’m not sure if there’s a direct message function or something similar like that on youtube but I’ve lost your number over the years and I don’t expect you to put it out publicly.

@Tabletop CP - If I take a bunker in my list, how do i set it up on the field? what are the rules for them as i cant find anywhere about it.
Rules for bunkers and fortifications are in the campaign books. I don’t think they are in the main rule book
Can you split fire the mortar and the rifles in the squad. I know you can split fire with one-shot weapons but can you do it with special weapons squads like that?

I hope that your new gaming venue lives up to your expectations. Normandy most of the hedges should hard cover and block line of sight. So does Andre have further to come and that's his excuse for being late?
Normandy, yes all the buildings have cellars. Need to store the cidre and calva somewhere!!
The lighting was worth all the effort, everything is easy to see.
The security dog is still as efficient as before!

Excellent BP1. Question about you recording. Do you record each camera individually and then merge them post producion?
The main camera is the hand held camera that also does the sound recording. The other views are from two web cams that record continuously and I edit them in later.
Impressed with the Nerd Cave. Silly question but I have the same Geek Villain mat - what do you use to mark out the roads / tracks? Are you just sprinkling sand each time?

What size bases do you model you LMG/Sniper/Flamethrower teams on? 40 or 50mm?
40mm for the two man teams. 60mm for the three man teams
Hey Travis...I don't think your Mortar (Or any other unit) should be able to shoot more than 45° through a hedge Row...This is in reference to you shooting the Mortar at about a 70 degrees angle through a Hedgerow against Andre's Infantry around turn five. Of course, not saying anything about how close you are to the building to shoot over it.
Realistically, I agree, but I don’t think it’s in the rules anywhere

It’s a 6x4 playing surface. 8x4 total
Did the flak not fire twice? Was it on ambush the last turn? couldn't fire at the capt on the last objective?
I think it shot at them while they were still along the hedge
Nide work on Nerd Cave 2.0. As far as Wild Bill in this game, I only had to do one thing! Roll to get the first die for the Americans on one turn, and I blew it! OH! the humility.
Make that humiliation.
Yeah you never moved the entire game but you deterred the panther most of the game

How do you clean your gravel roads off your gaming mats? Just curious as to how you do it. Vacuum cleaner?
I just take it outside and give it a good shake. Comes right off.
love the new cave and videos great as normal...QQ where do you get the coloured rings from, that the models are standing on?
Got ‘em off eBay years ago. They were part of Conan board game. Haven’t seen these in a long time. 3d printers have started making similar things though.

Wait but move 1. He is wanting to shoot at the BUILDING. So why would it matter if the sniper is there. It should be a regular 4up. Right
Originally it was like that but they changed it in the FAQ as it was making buildings useless for gameplay purposes. No one ever went in them.

Yea they toned it down a bit as it was pointless to use buildings
