Happy 4th July to our "colonial" brothers. I think that the knee mortars continue to range in if no units move. Great game and well played by both players.
15:50 you counted too many pins on the Amtank. It's one for the hit, then one each for the two stunned results rolled. 26:00 a 1" template is only +1. The +2 pen on a light auto cannon is for armor piercing rounds only. The LT would have survived.
Great table and nice scenario! The only thing I might ask is at 20:29 when the Chi-ha fired the light howitzer you re-rolled the six but I am under the impression that HE doesn’t count towards that.
could you share the type /brand of palm trees you have here in this video. Most i have come across are rather fake and shiny cheap plastic but these looks more realistic
thanks for the video. i have a rules question. I notice you rolled preparatory bombardment mortar 2 pins and spotter 1 pin. So does the Mortar have a total of 3 pins or mortar 2 pins and spotter 1 pin? If you have two separate pin counters, then why would the spotter not have to take an order test too not just the mortar to fire?
We weren’t clear on that. Seemed unfair to have take two order tests to get the mortar to fire. So we just said the spotter would have to pass a test if he wanted to move.
14:57 as a newbie to bolt action i didnt get why the open top did get 4 pins from the AA, can you help me point out what i am missing here? so its 1pin from crew stunned on the penetrating hit and 1pin from the superficial 3+1open top-3from superficial, so crew stunned again = 2 + D2 from HE1, which you didnt roll?
Is it possible to cover air observers and flak in a game please? In my three last games, air observers have been brought into the game and there is some slight confusion over the rules + results. Your input would be most valued. If you can’t, no worries. Stay safe, Bood.
Guys I was watching one of your videos when I heard you say the panzer 4 has tiger fear and none of you can work out why. Well this isn't something that applies to all panzer 4. Only panzer 4 with all the turret mounted side plates and Hull mounted schirtzen should have the tiger fear applied to it and this is because often during the Normandy campaign soldiers would see this version of the panzer 4 and all cry "TIGER" in basic terror. Now I'm sure not every soldier made the mistake and obviously once they saw it wasn't a tiger and identified the panzer IV H/G , all no doubt sighing collectively. The main reason for the fear was the la k of effective AT guns to damage one and the stories of shells bouncing off at w00 yards etc. That must indeed put the wind up you. Maybe make you freeze. Personally I think the tiger fear rule needs work. I don't agree on tiger fear extending to panthers so much but I guess they were just as terrifying if your guns didn't work against them. I use house rule 1 time they see a panzer 4 H /G tiger fear is applied but then you do a skill test. If they pass they realise its not the real thing ,after which no tiger fear rule. That's how I use the panzer4 "mini tiger" as it was known. I give the soldiers some credit for knowing what a real tiger would mean vs this smaller less deadly tank. I keep the rule because I think tanks need " Something " and for now this seems a good solution. Tha ks for the games lads , enjoyed em all .
@@tabletopcp thanks ! BTW I think there's maybe a reason to apply a KV1/KV2/T34 fear rule to the Germans in early barbarossa invasion of Russia. The Germans even named their own AT guns "door knockers" due to their complete lack of effectiveness against these new Russian tanks they didn't expect. Perhaps you could introduce it to one of your videos as a home rule? At the very least let the KV2 have "terror of the red bear" rule heheh That beast of a tank must have been terrifying , a pure shock to troops.Surely as much as the tiger was to an allied soldier? until they learned how to deal with them of course. The Germans worked out the Soviets weakness was communication, organisation. Eventually they used their flak 36 88mm guns on them.
@@tabletopcp well you're welcome to use it and make it your own thing, who knows maybe warlord will see and take note. I've read quite a few instances of German troops saying some of the American artillery was the most devastating they had ever witnessed. Maybe US artillery needs a shock and awe roll? 😁

I love André’s strategy in every game of go big or go home.
Sometimes it works real well. Sometimes it doesn’t. Always entertaining though!
Another amazing battle report with the come back of the year.

Are you talking about exceptional damage? I think any weapon can get it on a six.
Your Marines were tough but they know they're no supermen.
At 43:49 I'm just sitting here thinking `i really hope he doesn't accidentally spill that can't`
My namesake enjoys frontal charges lol! Fun game to watch

I got these off Amazon. I didn’t do much to them. I think I just put some wash in the trunks and rebased them.
Bloodbath!
I love these Battle Reports! Just wondering where you got the round colored markers that you put your HQ units and NCO’s in?
Off eBay years ago.
Have you tried the colored key covers? You can find them at some box stores/hardware stores. With some cutting, they work.
Does this map actually have elevation for the hill? I couldn't tell from watching the video.
Yeah we have some custom modular hills we can put under a mat to add elevation

Does the flame thrower cause a morale test even on fanatics? Great battle video as usual ,,,
No. In the latest FAQ they said fanatics don’t take auto morale tests from flamers

You may be correct. Should added d2 for the hit and then another one for the chart.
@@tabletopcp oh okay, thanks :)
good game tho, and i like the included special effects
No body parts for the suicide explosions? Probably best not to. Nice game!
You can't range in on hidden units I believe
