Hi Travis, have always admired your Winterfied miniatures, both American & German. With the great mat & terrain and seeing Andre in that hat, I sitting here watching in a balmy 22 degrees
Two dice for the King Tiger should be about 50% more points. 750. Only change one thing at a time for testing. There is a chance it could have ran out of fuel sooner and got stuck with its back facing the one side. Think about starting the first turn like its the third turn for the flankers. The attack would not have started till they were in place 🤔
This is what i was thinking. And maybe let the americans start anywhere on the 1 board edge and 25% of the connecting board edges for a flanking position
May I respectfully suggest a laser pointer instead of a "pointing stick"? The laser light is less intrusive, destructive (scenario pieces damaged, knocked-over), does more (check for line-of-sight, for example), fits in pocket or equipment tray, etc.
Always enjoy seeing the winter tables, the stark bright colours truly does make it pop. Drawback being that the terrain rarely works with other tables if you truly go for the snow look. If I ever went into bolt action I am fairly sure I'd be doing Battle of the Bulge myself.
Interesting scenario. As you mentioned giving the Tiger mobility was probably too much. A point deficit for the Germans would help balance the game as it's a kinda attacker/defender scenario. The other point with outflanking units is that there wasn't much (any?) cover on the long edges. So the board layout gave three fire lanes left & right flanks and centre.
You forgot the Small Team bonus for your two man teams (or 1 man MG team). Also, that last infantry gun hit against your AT gun: I think the howitzer turned to fire, which counts as a move, so he needed a 4 to hit the 57mm. If I understood all that correctly. But yeah, immobilize the Tiger and maybe try it again.
I’m really glad to see some Americans fighting :) Do you have any summer Americans or just winter ones ? Both are cool! Great job and I enjoy watching all of your battle reports
I'd say increasing the time limit might also work. Giving the Americans time to clear out the supporting infantry would give the bazookas more time to hunt down the Tiger
Maybe even for more Bulge appropriate, make the Americans defenders, have the Tiger have to push through the village. Same AT assets for US, still have low fuel for Tiger, see how you like that.
Why not have the tiger immobolized at the start of the game, but the Germans have a squad of engineers who can attempt to reach the tiger to repair its tracks
Beautiful armies
A great looking table. The New roads look great. Tank hunting is better done in woods or at night
thank you

Superb battle report, I like the way you editied this. I have just finished building a King tiger, great to see one in use before I field mine.

Cheers Paul 🍻
Love your Videos! I also want to have a pointing Stick. Very stylish. Keep on going! Greetings from germany.

Great battrep as always! You guys really keep me going during these strange times!! Thanks guys👍
Really nice game with a nice focus. I love seeing the tanks and the winter terrain looks really amazing!
Great game, I hope you play this scenario again.

I agree. Best looking tables. But they do require a lot of extra work and space.
Cool game to watch!
Great video lads
Cold? 😁 it was 4F feels like -8 here this morning.😎😁😃
We were talking California cold, so in the high 40s 😄
I liked it. Play it again

Please - where do you get your coloured base rings from to mark NCOs?
Got ‘em off eBay years ago. They were in a Conan board game or something like that. Haven’t seen these around for a while though.
If its any help, where you can i try to give my nco's different headgear from the rest of the squad.
Thanks for the input
I put my Nco's on 25 mm hexagonal base.

Oh yeah I have summer Americans. Used them many times.
What size roads are those from Geek Villains? 10cm, yes?
Yes. These are the 10cm wide geek villain self cut out roads
@@tabletopcp good deal!
I would love to have the printed rules for this scenario is that possible?
Don’t have them written down. Sorry.
No problem thanks anyway... Love your bat reps.

Also, it's a shame I never got the opportunity to be a hero at the end! Good to hear I'm no idiot though 😂
Smartest man in the platoon!
i think it was a fair game the tiger could have run out of fuel at any time

Great game! How about leave the Germans as they are and add some more armour to the US forces?
