Flint! The cost of living is quite low especially real estate. You can find a home large enough for any size family for a quarter of the national average.
Awesome material. I would go up to Brighton couple times a year to snowboard at mt. Brighton. Awesome town. My uncle lives in Howell, also another nice area. My girlfriend and I are wanting to move up to Michigan we are in the NWO area right now
What are the schools like in Brighton? I’ve been thinking about moving to Ann Arbor but it might be better if we move right outside of it instead. We have a 6 year old and wonder of the school systems there are good? Thanks!
The Schools in Brighton are highly rated. A rated. Check out Greatschools.org, which is a great resource. And if you have questions feel free to reach out. 734.746.5001
Afordable and safe. Ann Arbor isnt afordable. Yipsy isnt safe. The road suck in Michigan. Its cold 4-5 months. The farther east of Ann Arbor the cheaper. Farther north and west prices go Up a lot. Employment? The U of M or or the U of M. My daughter waited five years to get a job at the UofM and thats with the help of my mother in law who works there. The rest of Michigan? Ann Arbor is in the southern part of the state. The farther north you go, the colder it get. Michigan doesnt have good public transportation, and then there is the monster DETROIT. Its not far away, 20 minutes on I94 .Best time of year to come here and take a look, end of Jan middle of Feb. You can always buy a warm coat when you get here, and you will need to buy a warm coat when you get here. We would leave the light on but, were are not that hospitable.
Brighton is really nice. They are currently updating the downtown and it looks great.
The project is near completion and we finally have Main St open! YAY
Tecumseh is also a great option. It has a very nice downtown and is about 30 minutes from Ann Arbor. It's also very affordable.
