Clint, you are indeed a fortunate men to have two sons that want to work with you. Enjoy the videos.
2 sons, do you mean that Kevin is not #1 son?
Bro uses the paint gun like he’s done it before
@@genegoodman5233 you’re right 3 sons indeed 🤦♀️😂🤦♀️
A lot of work right there. Great job dad and sons. 👍
Great to see your sons learning the trade and getting your knowledge of all types of mechanics and developers long term skills sets
Clint, it is good to see you got your boys helping you. Blue Streak Express 💙 is coming along very well. It will look really good sitting next to Blue Streak 💙!!
For a non professional auto body painter you darn sure did a good job.
The hardest part of spray painting is not getting sags, runs or orange peel.
The first two are extremely hard to get out without "burning" the surrounding area.
Orange peel not so much.
Just a light touch of sanding with the right grit.
Plus, that you're teaching your sons about every aspect of what is being done is definitely outstanding fatherhood.gritins.
Given this posted post Christmas I hope all of the C&C Equipment family had a very Merry Christmas and that you guys have a very prosperous New Year.
When I saw you mark some of the spots with a magic marker I choked. When I worked the paint booth at CAT magic markers were banned. Marks from those would bleed thru. I think we were using acrylic but don't remember for sure. I'm know you controlled the situation because i've already seen the finished truck before I watched this vid. I've dabbled in body work but not at the level you guys are taking. WOWl!!!!! As you know you can't fix body prep with more paint....
It may just be a "shop truck" but you don't know how to short cut the prep work!!!!
Thank You Clint for the cost breakdown. That is awesome. Paint costs have gone plum crazy.
You have no idea what a pleasure it is to watch you and the family working together on projects. Coming together nicely, thanks for the update sir.
Thank you very much!
Good to see your boy's getting involved in this project they are going to be two talented young men with the variety of things they get involved in. You should be really proud of them.
Happy New Year to you all. Hopefully, it will be a prosperous one.
*I'm an expert by no means..* However, it was refreshing to see a video about painting something done by somebody who clearly knows the process. From being careful with the blaster, to the high build primer and blocking, down to the tape on the paint can to prevent spillage. Nicely done! I went to trade school for auto body and you guys done an exquisite job with the body and paint work. I commend you on explaining the process along the way as well. Too many people keep it a secret and that makes it difficult for people to learn. LOVE the new color over the gray. Take care 🔧🔩
Thanks
Great to see some Father and Sons time! They will remember the days like this, until they are old men themselves. Great video! Lee
No doubt!
Man this is going to be way worth seeing finished it looks good in pieces can't imagine what's going to look like together thanks for sharing good job man Cubs
Clinton Hunter Tucker and Kevin great video! The experience the boys are getting is priceless! No matter what they do in adult life they will have a jump on most people! Your teaching and work is being passed down and seems to be taken very seriously by the boys! It’s such a pleasure to watch a family grow like this! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
I love what you and your boys are doing with this project. You've got the tools and the space plus the motivation and attitude to make it all happen. Very inspiring, brother.
This total rebuild change of cab is amazing. Great to watch the process. Good to see Hunter and Tucker putting in full effort - learning heaps.
Thanks 👍
Unlike those TV "reality" shows this is the real reality of what it takes to do what Clint and sons are doing. Great work to all !!
Thanks for the memories, i started working with my dad at age of 8 in his bodyshop kinda like your sons , i sold it 40 years later, hard work, but lord we had fun .✌️
You got a hell of an eye cuz I couldn't see any defects in the metal on my 7" screen! 😉 Thanks for the in-depth video and giving us some perspective on what a project like this costs. Glad to see your boys jumping in to learn and help.
Another awesome vigid!!!! I’m so glad you put those numbers out !!! Now people can see what it REALLY COSTS TO HAVE GOOD WORK DONE !!!
THE BEST PART ABOUT WORKING ON THE TRUCK IS YOU AND THE BOYS WORKING TOGETHER. THAT IS TIME THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER. I KNOW IT IS FOR ME. MY DADDY HAS PASSED NOW, AND THE MEMORY ARE STILL THERE.
Clint, and team, this was an excellent video and very educational I think personally I would have Aaron, teach both boys the tips for different metals and welders, it would be so important for their futures, can't wait to see the putting together of your truck.
Blue is my absolute favorite color
Really like that Blue color. should look fantastic when all is reassembled...
Hey Clint!! Nice to see the boys helping and learning with their dad. It's amazing all the prep and work you're putting into the truck, but it will be on the road long after the stuff they build today. Looking forward for the reassembly video.
Thanks 👍
I think y’all are doing a damn good job. Love it.
That blue is very nice...it looks really good...great job guys!
Thanks so much!
Not much you can’t do with machinery the attention to detail is awesome great to see you passing all your knowledge on to your sons they seem eager to learn .Happy New Year to you and your family looking forward to more content in 2023
It may be a “Heck of a project” but I bet it’s also a fun and fulfilling project when it’s all done! It’s cool to have a one off type truck!
Definitely!
Happy New Year to everyone.
Wow C&C! Hugh Project, it will be worth when it is Finally finished! Love your attention Detail and perfection and taking the time to doing Right!! Tucker and Hunter are doing a Great Job Helping Dad! Post Merry Christmas and You and your Family have a Very Happy New Year!!! 👍😊❤
Thanks so much!
There is so much work in a frame off restoration but I worker at the Chevrolet dealership back in 1972 when my older brother bought a new C 10 Cheyenne with factory AC. I bought it from my brother in 2002 and he had a local tech school do a paint job on the old girl. It looked like they were barn painters that did the textured job. I couldn’t stand it and did a frame off restoration. I could d believe how good the frame was but when I worked at Chevrolet I undercoated the truck using 35 gal of undercoat. All we had to do was steam clean the frame and where the undercoat had come loose there was some minor rust. The guy that was helping me said you must be planning to buy this truck when you were 19 years old when putting on that much undercoat. I did some figuring on the motor and to build the motor like I wanted it was going to be chunk of change and I found a GM performance 350 cui motor that pumped out 425 hp on regular gas. I found a brand new Rochester 4 barrel carb and re jetted it with some other tricks that made them scream. When I put the truck on the dyno it put out 472 wheel hp. They figured with the turbo 400 and all the other hp robbers it was a 600 hp engine. All in all I spent $30,000 bringing the family truck back to better than new. I put the optional wood floor in the old gal a year later. 10 years later I sold it for $72,000. I sold the original engine with a mountain of original parts for $12,000. I got my $30,000 back.
You did a good job on the paint
I watch Retropower and Project Binky and you're up there in quality work. From dozers to fine body work. I am glad I found this channel! I know it takes a very long time to do bodywork and you do it right.👌👍
Welcome aboard!
The truck is gonna look awesome, alot of work has gone in it.With Kevin and your son's being right there with you Clinton they have been detrimental in your getting the truck done. Awesome job!
For a shop truck you are putting a great deal of work and care into this project.
Thanks 👍
I am always happy to see you working with your sons. They are learning lots of lifelong trades and you are very calm while teaching them. It is nice to see a variety of videos, watching from beginning to end and seeing that you and your employees can have fun while you get the job done.
I appreciate that!
Clint and Son's, what an awesome job! I did the same thing about 30 years ago on a 1976 Dodge Power Wagon and swapped the 318 with a 440 Magnum so I know your pain on the labor. Keep up the great work and it's great to see you teaching your Son's the business.
Nice work. I love the videos. You are lucky to have your boys work with you, and they are lucky to have a dad to teach them in that sweet shop. Merry Christmas
Such a cool project for you and your boys. That is some of the best time you can spend.
Good to see someone that takes great pride in the work they do.
It shows how much you care about him and just being there to help him do things
Love the color
All in the prep. Really looks like you did a great job!
I did auto body paint for ten years starting 1975. I learned the art of leading no plastic filler. The labor rate you charge is very acceptable fir the year 2022. Great job teaching the boys how to do this work.
Best wishes for 2023
I would like to see the over land camper completed next year.
Regards
Clint it's great to see the boys interested in this kind of work. The color is going to look great. Some people don't realize how much time it takes to do this sort of work especially when you want it right
No x-box or Playstation can pass knowledge like this. Unbelievable what they are capable of. I'm very impressed, your boys are craftsman.
Awesome team work guys.
Thanks for sharing
Beautiful Clinton! I absolutely love that color!
Can't wait to see the finished track. Merry Christmas to you too.
Awesome Job and Awesome color….can’t wait until we see it together
A labor of love. Going to be a sharp looking truck.
Tape on the paint can so it doesn't drip down the can when poured - that's a good one. Filed for use.
I like how you work. Calm and deliberate, economy of effort, like you know exactly what you're doing.
Good stuff, thanks for taking us along.
Thanks 👍
Happy New Year!
The best thing in all of this, is the knowledge you are passing down to your sons. The inclusion of your boys is by far the best part about your video sharing. We (as a society need more of the male role modeling and presence of a father in children's lives).
As kids, and to include the teenage years, sometimes the children resent the guidance of a parent, however years later, the actual truth of that presence and guidance becomes evident in their lives.
I commend you for being there for your boys. I wish I had had a father similar to you when I was growing up. Mine was never around, but I thank God I turned out fine. Presently, I have three grown kids. My wife and I reared our children (including a son), being ever so present in their lives. I made sure that they didn't go without a father's love and guidance.
So, in closing, may our Lord continue to bless you and your family. Amen.
Keep those videos coming. 🙂🙏
Thanks
I feel it’s very important to teach them right when they are young!
Nice job 👍, Hunters getting some experience on doing stuff, family stuff, and a great job to all.
Great video Clint always enjoy watching videos with the boys working together 🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Looking good going to be a great truck when complete 👍🏻🇺🇸
Lot of hours away from the family and a lot of $$$$$ if your a DIY. Great jobs guy.
Glad to see the boys jumping in and learning great life skills. Character Counts!
Love your outlook on your work. Any job worth doing is worth doing well. ❤
Awesome job Guys. Beautiful color.
A man of many talents, wow sir. 👌
Even a shop truck gets the detail as with anything you do. Great job!!!
Thanks 👍
Clinton you did a great job preparing and painting that truck! I bet it looks amazing when it’s back together!
Thanks 👍
Love that color. Looking good guys.
I love this blue color. Boy that clear made it pop. Nice work guys. Y’all definitely ain’t scared of a little work.
Nice Paint Job!!! I am 62 years old and remember when (1978-1980) a 2 thousand dollar lacquer job meant a show quality job. This type of work you are doing with your boys is "First Cabin" type work. If you strive to do your best at everything you do, you will be successful.
On video that color looks like Indigo Blue. I like that color, Back in 2004, I special ordered a brand new Z71 in Indigo Blue.
Well done looks great 👍
Love that blue
I have spent day block sanding back in highschool. I am glad you pointed out the importance of sanding at an angle in a cross hatch! Makes all the difference in the world. I learned in a body shop that worked on heavy trucks. Seeing your videos brings back a lot of memories!
Right on
I hope all of you at C&C have a great Holiday Season, had a Merry Christmas, and will have a very Happy New Year. Looking forward to next Years videos. Stay safe, stay healthy!
Very nice color and the paint job is outstanding you rock Clint 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Great upload Clinton ,great to see you approach the father son dynamic so well bud 👍🏼
The future will be in safe hands.
What impresses me is the attention to detail...."on this work truck".....it will be a example of your company. The pride that you do in your work is the best advertising for your business. God bless you and all your family and employees in the new year.
Thanks 👍
Great job Clint. It's certainly a family affair and it will shine when complete. Happy New Year to you, your family and I cannot forget your adopted son Kevin. lol Thanks for the great videos this year. All the best in 2023.
That is a real nice job Clint
Wonderful family project Clinton! Thanks for sharing!
Looks great.
Nice job love the blue
Body work and paint, awesome. Working with the boys priceless. Great video by the way too bro. Safe travels
Great work, great colour and a great video.
Paint looks awsome!
I worked in a body shop while in High School, carried that experience with me through life and did my personal vehicles. Supplies are stupid expensive anymore and I can have a body shop do a few things cheaper than what it would cost me. I did a restoration in 1995 and showed the truck at 4 Wheel Drive Nationals, Never again.......😂😁Great family project for you and the boys Clint, priceless what they learn.
Amazing.work!!!!
These guys are super talented...!!!!..Nice to see their work.......
Thanks
Thanx for sharing. Love the video . Happy New Year
Really like that blue.
That truck is looking awesome. Really like the color.
Thanks 👍
brings back memories i was a painter for 20 years at CN painted locomotives, great video and it's looking great 👏👏👍👍👌
Cool, thanks!
Yes, ford made a factory crew cab in Louisville starting in 92. Only thing a sub company assembled the crew cab off sight in Louisville and shipped the bare metal cab to Kentucky Truck Plant to paint and trim out. I worked at the plant that welded it together in 1992.
They have since the 60s
This truck was never sold by ford as a crew cab in the f superduty format
A company called centurion made it a crew cab in Michigan then a company called quigiley in PA converted it to 4x4
Big project, will be a nice rig when done. Boys are good workers. Helps alot
Great video. I Love the color. You guys are awesome. Can't wait to see it finished.
Thanks so much!
It’s going to look good when it is done
That's going to be a sweet ride when it's done
A big job well done C@C as always
Love your honesty as well.
Looking good!
Thanks, Clint you are a very honest guy showing us how you just beat that floor up wid a hammer and not cut and arch it but it was a very interesting video 👍
Thanks Clinton. Good job.
Good jobs aren't cheap
Cheap jobs aren't good
This is a valuable lesson for any of the younger crowd watching this.
The old saying "you get what you pay for" is as true today, as it was 100 years ago
