  • Kyle Rittenhouse's friend, Dominick Black, was the state's first witness. He testified he bought the AR-15 rifle Rittenhouse used in the shootings. Black said he and Rittenhouse were part of an armed militia on Aug. 25 that worked to defend car dealerships in Kenosha.

Judges should really be cracking down on this sort of weird questioning. All you had to find out is where the gun came from, what the relation between Kyle and Dominick is, did Kyle get permission to take the gun, what the phonecall was, some questions about what Dominick knew about Kyle being there that day. You could get this info in 3-5 minutes.
Instead I am listening to what kind of fake pigeon targets Dominick was shooting with what friends on his step-father's property which is X length. Useless information. Doesn't mean anything, no one in the jury would even remember any of these details.

Yet when the defense attorney gets his turn, it should be his job to actually find a way to defend his client, not build a case against his own client... and since this is his best friend, whom he went there with, who is catching charges of his own, he should have handled this much more differently. Why if you are on Kyle's side, would you not be upset about the way the defense attorney handled things!?! Why be scared of the prosecution or claim to be bored by them doing their job, if you supposedly have NOTHING to worry about!?! I would be more worried about this defense acting in favor of the prosecution, or are you just ignoring various parts because you feel you shouldn't have to worry about them!?! He doesn’t seem remotely interested in justice or truth but rather wants to promote his narrative and asks and re-asks questions when he doesn’t get the answers he wants to the point of mind-numbing idiocy. Isn't it interesting that the witnesses for the prosecution have made the case for the defense.
Yesterday Rosenbaum's girlfriend testified that he was diagnosed as bipolar and was taking antidepressants. She also said he was released from the hospital that day for trying to commit suicide. Other witnesses described Rosenbaum as aggressive and threatening that night and he threatened to kill Kyle if he caught him alone that night.
The prosecution showed video and pictures proving Huber hit Kyle with a skateboard and grabbed his gun while he was on the ground.
Without Rosenbaum having a death wish that night, Huber would still be alive and Gaige would still have his arm.

The comments have me confused, everybody is saying Dominick is a snake....but he didn't really incriminate kyle in any way I feel like his testimony helped him, but to me it actually seems like Kyle's defense is trying to nail dominic...if I was kyle I wouldn't want my buddy to go to jail for 6 years over me taking my gun that I payed for and took from him and used for self defense

Kyle's testimony said that Dominic did tell to get the gun Well he said that he told Kyle he shouldn't have the gun but yet he's still left with Kyle with the gun he didn't tell him don't bring it but here he's saying that he thinks he shouldn't have the gun yet they were under the impression that it was legal for Kyle to possess it so I I think the prosecutor and the defense knew that he was lying and he told the story about him wanting to flee

I do not think Dominic is a Snake, if he lies he risks perjury. Others have commented he doesn't seem to like being there, I recall that it came out that DB's Lawyer was in sole contact with the DA's Office, and the Defense said did you get our notice to speak to you (he did not).
Likely he was pressured and frightened to testify (I am hesitant to say tricked).
I don't think DB is lying here...only thing that is "off" is if he told Kyle to bring his gun, which he said no...he may have remembered it this way, and at the time "meant" to say it this way, but it was interpreted differently by Kyle, but by that time they were already on the move.
TLDR: I believe he is not intentionally telling any lies, and here is a situation where a young individual is pressured to testify against his best friend. It also seems the defense did not have a chance to speak to him, because of Lawyer and DA's office interference.
