I’m really impressed with you making granola and salad dressing! You’ve mentioned how you’re not a ‘cook’ but these are great ways to feel more confident in the kitchen ❤
These are great ideas. I’ve also been cutting our family’s hair (minus my husband that shaves his). I even henna my own hair to cover the grays and it gives me red highlights when in the sun. Your flower garden options are so beautiful 😍
Love these ideas! I actually agree on the sheets--we only have one extra sheet for our bed and originally only had one extra sheet for our infant (but received extras as baby shower gifts which now mostly sit folded in a drawer lol)
These are all good things to cut out that we have also done. Also, I think a rice cooker has saved us at least $5000+ dollars. Its so easy to just set it even hours early to be prepare for dinner and not stand over it or worry about it burning or anything. And its the only thing my husband will use to cook. Should also mention he used to eat rice and eggs for breakfast for years and its a main carbohydrate for us.
As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, pop or coffee, sparkling water fills that gap for me and is loads cheaper than alcohol by a huge stretch so I don't let myself feel guilty over this one.
Agree with this one! I used to be so resistant to buying fun non-alcoholic beverages but since I’ve gotten pregnant I’ve realized it’s way cheaper to buy a $4 jug of nice iced tea than the alcohol I was buying before. Also probably healthier too. Something I’ll definitely continue after the baby.
The leaf razor is a good option imo if you don’t have a stainless steel one yet, it has 3 blades and slides easily over curves. My hair is just to my waist and I’ve been trimming it for 20yrs. A coworker was talking about the cost she spends on haircuts and dye every couple months and its unbelievable. I would say maybe get an electric toothbrush I think they work better. The hum brand is pretty reasonable but also the free ones at the dentist that are the hard plastic supposedly take like 400 years to decompose. 😢 I picked 13 cucumber from my garden today and besides juicing them you gave me a new idea! add to water with some of my Mint plant!
For those interested, modern cloth nappies are so good. So easy to wash and use again. If you plan to have more than one child and/or sell them on, it saves so much money over the several years you use them. The channel aboderie has good info on them
Couldn't agree more! We got our cloth diapers second hand for the most part and have spent less than $300 on diapers (that's for TWO kids so far!). Also loving the washable wipes. Both work better than the disposable options in my opinion, too.
I really like to watch this kind of video (and your all chanel btw ❤) because I see so much differences btw consumption in Europe and in the States or Canada. In France, very few households have dryers so most of us let their sheets and clothes dry with the air. It can take 2 days in winter. Then you have to have a second set of sheets. 😅 I consider that ecofriendlier and money-saving because dryers consume soon much electricity. In France, it would really be weird to stop buying bread. French buy bread at their local "boulangerie" and it completely healthy. 😊
The car loans comment upsets me because it’s so true 🤣😫 However buying within your means (and this includes recognising the trappings of credit) is a challenge many people struggle with and for many different reasons.

I have a keurig but I have the reusable coffee pods that you can just add your own coffee grounds to. Saves so much money

Instead of sponges I like to use a simple cotton dish cloth. Washable, durable (lasts years) and when 100% cotton, compostable. And they're cheap!

Great tips, definitely trying the shower curtain one 🤗
🙌🏻
You can also just have a beautiful live pot plant on the table ☺️
Didn’t think about the shower curtain liner! I’m actually gonna try that. 😊
It’s the best!

Along with using washable 'cheeky wipes' instead of disposable baby wipes, this has by far been our biggest saving
