Heard this song through Rick & Morty. The way Sandoval ascended in this is gold to the ears man. Never associated with this genre of music before, but there’s no way I’m turning my back now. Ethereally captivating, there’s a magnetism about her voice that feels as if you’re travelling through a fifth dimension. I felt hypnotised but each chord. What a voice, what a song, what a band! As a 23 year old black Londoner, I would never have exposure to this type of music which is most an antithesis to the genres I listen to but I’ve always been open on my world view, so I’m glad I can add Mazzy Star, Hope & the genre into my musical library going forward.
