    I've seen this games ending many times now but only just noticed that all the Hearthians are sitting around the fire, relaxed and familiar with the concept of a campfire, while the Nomai and Owlk are just standing around awkwardly, as if unsure how to properly partake in this ritual
    Tho whether that's a reflection of the actual individuals behavior in this situation or simply our protagonists perception of them is unclear

    Something i keep seeing in EOTE playthroughs that I find odd is everyone questioning "What, these guys didn't think their dam would break?" No, of course not. It didn't break for 250k+ years. Do you see how everything else is rotted away and partially intact, but the dam is 100% okay when you enter? It was built to be tough! It only starts collapsing when the sun enters it's second quarter, and what I'm assuming are protective barriers are placed to block out some of that light.
    It's breaking apart from the Increased Solar Activity of the sun, in the same way that brittle hollow has been historically in-tact, right up until the sun drastically increased the activity of Hollow's Lanterns as indicated by the computer in there.

    • @TheMarkoSeke
      @TheMarkoSeke 5 месяцев назад +4

      The Stranger starts to move when it detects the sun is going supernova, I believe it's the pressure of the movement that causes the dam to break

      For real😭 I like him but he’s too much of a gamer, he just reads a slide then floats off. I lost it when he started opening random owl portraits FOR NO REASON LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. Like dawg, the slide lead you here for a reason, you don’t even know what you’re looking for😭

    • @wellspokenrambler
      @wellspokenrambler 7 месяцев назад

      @@GreatJinjonatori can totally see how it happened though: he hadn’t found any archives yet and all he knew was that he was looking for a frame that opens up. He may have forgotten that the frame had a big green circle on it, but you can’t expect a fast-paced gamer’s brain to retain every detail :P

    watching the EOTE supercuts having finally played EOTE (in reduced frights mode because i emphatically do not like horror) and i love noticing things here that i didn't in my own playthrough
    at 1:02:36 i basically did the same, looking up the code having already found it but not memorised it or written it down because the base game shows the coordinates when you input them and even the launchpad code that you don't need to put in yourself.

    Dude! It just now came to me, after playing the DLC, after watching 4 other people play the DLC... the other Owlks can't hear *anything* , because they're dead. That's why you can just walk right behind them. That's why their music is so dang discordant in there, they can't even enjoy their music.
    They're in the simulation, reminiscing of their home planet in darkness, knowing they destroyed their home, just to try and prevent the eye from doing its thing. Not being successful, dying in the real world, forever damned to a near eternal undeath in the simulation with that knowledge. It's a real "Battery" (Metallica) situation, that's friggin terrifying, a real bummer for the Owlks.

    • @stavbearer9878
      @stavbearer9878 Год назад +40

      I don't think death affects sound inside the simulation, just stuff in the real world. When we're dead, we can still hear the inhabitant's screeches and water effects for example. The bell just only makes sound in the real world

      Brian always streams while riding an exercise bike - that rocking motion is him pedalling (this is also why there's all the stats at the bottom etc)

    • @temmiedestructo7309
      @temmiedestructo7309 Год назад +8

      @@stephenhoy OHHH THATS WHAT THE STATS ARE
      I've never even seen this game and I was so confused by what the readings meant, and for the first half I was trying to identify them. I was confused why the heart number didn't go down when he took damage, thinking that one would be the easiest to understand, yet the heart number seemed to not relate to health at all. I was also very confused about him being out of breath from rocking back and forth, and I was guessing that it was something about exercise -- but I never even realized the stats were brian's stats, not the stats for the character.
