Really enjoyed this video! You weren't kidding this store does stock an incredible amount of rare plecos. I noticed the tanks were all full of healthy looking fish as well.🙂👍
Fantastic video Paul, some great quality fish there, everything looked super healthy fat and sassy! They look like the Leporinus fasciatus but seem a little more mottled so possibly a hybrid! Pier have done the super rare Red Banded several times but they sell like hot cakes so we haven't been able to get any yet :( What a great day out that looked like!!
I'd love a blackwater set up with discus, angels, tetras and plecos. Personally, I love checkerboards. I think pier offer a massive range of fish for Amazonian set-ups I think one of the things we need in this country is an aquarium shop that has a great social media presence and a website to match.
@@bigfishlad4847Ste is, definitely. He often talks about setting up other shops but I reckon once he starts plugging his website he'll fly online. That's not a criticism BTW, I appreciate that you have to work on one thing at a time. My local shop said the same thing. But my argument is that's you're potentially turning your customer base from local to national. Plus the cost of postage is what people spend in petrol anyway.
Always love your videos Paul but, really enjoy these shop tours! You really do put the effort in mate!💯💪 Also, I was never originally into the knife fish, but they became sort of a slow burner for me. So never say never mate!😂
Wow, another awesome store tour Paul 😁 I tell you if I had a store like this near me I would be in major trouble with the wife from spending too much money 😂
Dear Paul: I don’t often watch footage, of pet shops. The shaky hand, of the camera-man; the glare, on the tanks; and, the background noise, are quite annoying. You, however, did a fantastic job, of dealing, with all, these issues. I truly appreciate your, steady hand and the voice-over. This shop has an amazing assortment, of stunning species, and they maintain their tanks, very well. Thank you, for sharing, this interesting and engaging video. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
The chubby plecos they are all Parancistrus aurantiacus just not all are gold at the time :) They can be a pain though to identify from the aff. I remember when they were majorly popular people would be sold the cheaper aff. thinking they would turn gold easily and in the same way. Typhoon pleco, Pseudacanthicus sp. LDA105. Titanicus kind of grey's out much easier and looks much less distinctive. Like most Loricariids you pay for juvenile to adolescent colouration.
Quality stock there mate again...Everytime I see these red tiger sevs I want to try one in with mine but I haven't got a plan B if it doesn't work out so I have to say no!...My new 2nd hand tank split christmas eve so I've had to sell all my mbuna and I'm down to a single tank again now haha!
@@bigfishlad4847 Gutted mate as I'd bought the other tank because the severum had picked at the silicone on his old 4 foot and made it leak so that's 2 tanks he's had that have split in the last couple of months. The only positive is that having just the one tank to keep clean isn't much trouble!
@@bigfishlad4847 That's shite mate, I hope it's not the best stuff That's gone. I looked at Pier's website and those red tiger sevs are 500 a pair...I think Wharf had the same wild caught fish at 58. I'm not 100% sure it was Wharf but it was one of the big places
Nice shop Love the Dennison Barbs... The barb you asked about is a Narayan Barb.. I have never seen one for sale ...They are Rare!! Thanks for showing them. How was the price? They are similar to the melon barb... The others that were in with the Dennison barbs look like the beardless barb but not positive I could spend hours at that shop.
Narayan Barbs are really great, ours did breed when we were breeding our Red Panda Barbs without us evening knowing and we have about a dozen grown out with the panda barbs...Because they are super easy to breed it makes me wonder why they are rare in the USA?! The are also called "Sunset barb" which might help you find them in the USA Chris! Def worth keeping an eye out for!

There’s some fish there that I’ve always wanted, but never seem to get a hold of. Do they deliver Mate 👍☹️ I’ve just been and had a look, and of course they do, pricey though😂
@@bigfishlad4847 they had a panda red tail catfish that they wouldn't sell as it was there show piece (so I herd ) I should of had it a while ago, but never got round to it. What price were the Heckels? I know they had S. tarzoo for £80 last year which I missed on but I'd be tempted by Heckels for cheaper.
