I mean, it's not a bad plan. Particularly given just how hard Ichigo can hit. The number of characters who could survive a direct Getsuga Tenshou from Ichigo in a sneak attack is MAYBE 3 (Yhwach, Aizen and Kenpachi). This was a great episode especially for it being the final set up episode and then we are back to action and next episode qe are supposed to get new renji scenes and more additional scenes. The way they animated the eyed to move around and light up whenever he uses his power is badass. They have been doing an amazing job with this adaption. The black background goes perfectly with this part of the cour. Especially since if you think about it the quincy have always been hiding in the shadows of soul society and now they are back in darkness.

It's not a spoiler, but he might in the next manga arc. The Hell Arc could see all sorts of characters return, as Espada-level Arrancar go to Hell when they die. Nobody knows, as the only thing that has been released from that arc is the promo chapter.

As much as we clown on him, Chad is at least captain level. Hell, he blocked a hit from Greard Valkrie, which is no small feat, even if he was in base. Some of the people fighting (Ganju mainly) are weaker than him. Anyone with power anywhere near that of a captain is going to be valuable.
Really wish they slide in a Chad and/or a Ginjo fight. Chad deserves a W and Ginjo, and the other time-based fullbringer, appeared alongside Tsukishima in the first cour, but Tsukishima is the only one that actually does something.

Without spoilers; it don’t really work that way. They aren’t gonna die or be weakened just by being around hollows or hunting them would be a much greater issue. Maybe if they found a way to pour their own reiatsu into a Quincy it might poison and kill them but 95% of the Sternritter are as strong if not stronger than the Espada and a handful could solo all of them at the same time. But who knows with all this new content anything could happen

It's not a spoiler, but he might in the next manga arc. The Hell Arc could see all sorts of characters return, as Espada-level Arrancar go to Hell when they die. Nobody knows, as the only thing that has been released from that arc is the promo chapter.

@@EvgeniyVasilyev The Hell Arc is set 12 years after TYBW and deals with some issues with Hell. So far, all we have is a oneshot but they will be continuing it, probably next year.
In the meantime, there is a decent chance that they will be animating the novels, at least in part, which takes place shortly after TYBW.

As much as we clown on him, Chad is at least captain level. Hell, he blocked a hit from Greard Valkrie, which is no small feat, even if he was in base. Some of the people fighting (Ganju mainly) are weaker than him. Anyone with power anywhere near that of a captain is going to be valuable.
Really wish they slide in a Chad and/or a Ginjo fight. Chad deserves a W and Ginjo, and the other time-based fullbringer, appeared alongside Tsukishima in the first cour, but Tsukishima is the only one that actually does something.
