    Xr15 best SQL value on market... Best $200 sub going they sound beautiful and take a lot of power, 2 D4s @1ohm take a cab45 no problem and put out violent hard bass on it.

    My purple basket oz audio 12's have that same surround. Imo I believe that surround helps the accuracy. But then again I'm not about to put old school oz audio in a comparison with American bass lol the oz are only like 250w rms.
    Thanks for another great review ✌️

    If you want to use those for metal, try sealed. My single XR12 sounds fantastic for all music in a sealed box. You'll give up some decibels but those db's come with a price, like group delay.
    The only sub I've ever heard that clearly sounded better was a SVS $2300 Ultra 16...
    No, I take that back, I had a Dayton 15 (Adire Tempest clone) that probably sounded better than the XR but it's hard to tell as there was a decade+ between hearing them both.

    I bought 2 XR 12 American bass subs recently. Their both 4ohms. I believed I wired them to 1 ohm when I played them on my smart 3k they didn't do much. When I put my 2 Skar DDXs back in, it was big difference the DDXs killed the XR American bass subs I'm confused. Maybe something wasn't wired correctly. I will have to try this again.

      Check them individually and make sure the Voice coils are good and wired correctly because the Xr's crank hard. Had to be something was off.

    Have you tried out the earthquake slap passive radiators? I have 3 of the 12's one for each pair of decent budget autotec 12's. I can adjust the frequency response by adding and subtracting weight to the radiator cone. And I don't get port noise

      @@evilinside5984 I just realized you were the one that told me to remove the poly fill 4 months ago. My next little plan for the box is adding 3 more slaps on the bottom with a 3-4inch open base. Plus I need more power. I'm only pushing around 1000rms and all 6 can easily handle 3k

    Damn, 2 of these or 2 vxf 15?

    • @HiFiVector
      @HiFiVector  4 дня назад +1

      That’s a hard ok they both are good. But vxf has cleaner more accurate bass and will handle more power and have more excursion as it is on a little higher level than the XR. The xr will need less power to max out sound very good with smooth bass ( not punchy ) so a lot depends on how big of an amp do you want? What kind of music you listen to and what kind of bass you like. Both hit the lows very well.

    • @HiFiVector

      That is a great v decision. Those b2 are incredible subs and better than the vxf or xr for sure. They are a know id the best subs I have ever heard.

      Brw 15 is more accurate and punchy. Xr is nice but not as musically accurate. So just depends on what you like. For me in the 15” version I like the Hifonics.
