I'm a girl with Curly hair and I really appreciate your boots curl creme recommendation. Cheers! My rule is condition my hair to an inch of it's life. Curly hair is so dry and porous. Totally agree about applying products to wet hair, as wet as possible. From one Curly haired person to another, I am so glad you're embracing your curls. It looks really healthy.
If you don’t want frizzy curls you should try “scrunching” in the curl cream. They way you’re applying it in the video (4:30) is exactly what creates frizz because you break up the curls that form when you condition the hair.
When I was little I had curls just like you and everyone would always touch them and “mess them up” and I let that become a source of anxiety for me for the rest of my childhood and even into adulthood! Just in the last 6 months, I’ve been able to grow my hair out past the “awkward phase” and that’s when my curls come raging back. I’ve really started to embrace the curls, they look awesome some days but usually just frizzy and all over the place most of the days. I’ve been looking for exactly this video. I’m lucky enough to have pretty much the EXACTLY same curls/thickness as your hair, so seeing you perform your routine just gives me the confidence I need to start using a curl cream. If I knew it was this easy I would’ve been doing it for months now haha. Anyways thank you so much for making this man I can’t tell you how helpful it’s been.
This was really helpful. I feel I was in the same boat being younger I straightened my hair too. Only recently I started to embrace a longer look after years of skin fades and very short curls on top. I found my previous products/regime wasn’t working with my longer curlier hair. Since using this method with a different brand of curl cream I’ve been much happier with my hair.
My first time watching a male hair tutorial and LOL it was so fun. Esp the part where you’re applying the curl cream. Can’t wait to try this for my boyfriend! Thank you!
If you're doing it with a deffuser and you're still getting your curls to dry out and pump up rather than being soft and slick, your fan might just be too powerful I used a strong hair drier with a diffuser and didn't understand why it was different than when my hair dresser does it but he was using a waay softer strength of the fan but a lot more warm. Key thing right there

I used to straighten my hair all the time too. I love my natural curls now. get so many compliments. I normally use bed head creme but it's rather expensive. I have ordered the boots one after your video. Thanks :)
You can break the cast with a little hair oil, especially if your hair is coarse -- it helps seal in your hair's moisture. If it's fine, there's several light oils that don't weigh down your hair.
Don't do that. Its OK once in a while but u can over moisturise Ur hair. Which means have more moisture than protein. So ur hair becomes stretch basically. Also creates more fizz and dry ends. Just buy the boots cream.
I just got my order of the Boots curl cream, and I am NOT disappointed. I ordered it to the US so it took a good 2 weeks to get here, but worth it. It really locks in the curls, I don't feel product in my hair after it dissolves either. It's easy to work with in the morning (but it does take a while to dry. I just wash my hair with a cheap conditioner (when I make more money, I'll probably invest in more products, but the Boots curl cream does the trick on its own). Where I work, I'm out in the sun with high humidity during the day, and my hair doesn't frizz with this product. At least not much (it will a little after 8 hours being outside). Trying this curl creme for the first time Today because of this video! Always had thick hair with waves, and have straightened my hair everyday since I was 16 now 29! Usually have a skin fade with quiff on top! Because of the current lockdown I don’t want to shave my head as my head is massive lol so want to try and embrace my waves/ curls so gonna give it a go! Mines as long as yours in this vid on top but sides are shorter so it’s not even like yours! Not sure how it’ll look or whether this creme will make it more curly? Did you find it difficult adjusting from straightening yours to rocking the curls and feeling comfortable? Like just looking in the mirror etc and going out in public with a whole new look to what people are used to! People may think I’ve had a perm rather than I’m just not straightening it lol
Im in the same situation, my hair is naturally curly but I've blown dried it straight since i can remember, i bought this cream on the back of watching this vid, what i found was that it would make my fringe slightly more curly however the top stayed straight, also when it comes to getting all the crispyness to go away it sometimes made my curl ends more frizzy than i liked, therefore id recommend trying both this product ( its only £2) but also trying a curl cream (I've chose cantu coconut) only shampoo a few times a week and when you get out the shower don't rub it dry wth a towel pat it bit to get the initial water off then put the product in and maybe try and squeeze your curls while wet (crinkle/scrunch them) and it makes them much more curly do this all over head. Also invest in a brush with bigger gaps to comb whilst in shower to get knots out. Let me know how it goes this is what I've found over the lockdown period. I also had the doubt about the whole going out thing with curls as apposed to straight but id had a lot of compliments off family member and friends about my curls and realised people like different, you just have to own it and feel comfortable with it so get some reassurance off family.

The cream will give moisture (more than a mousse or gel which can be quite drying) and the cast will help to hold the curl in shape. Once it's dry in its shape, the cast will simply dissolve when you rub it off. I'm sure you can find something like this, and it's worth it. (I hope this helps) .
Tip: If you have wavy/ frizzy/ curly hair and you've had a shower before bed then woken up and it's flat, just damp your hands with either warm or cold water and scrunch your hair. Not sure if this woks with long hair though sorry.
