Hello everyone! In this video I'm sharing my experience rediscovering Moroccan Oil's Curl Defining Cream. I had used this line a lot when I was working in a salon, but haven't really touched it recently because of Bumble & Bumble. (You guys know how I am about Bumble & Bumble) but spoiler alert: What I found was that it is PERFECT for my coarse, frizzy hair type. I'll get into details about it in the video so if you're interested, stick around and enjoy!
We're almost at 10k subs which is nice. Join the discord if you want to talk about your hair and stuff too.

The curly hair techniques are so valuable bc not many people are putting out curly hair videos for men
Actually!
Literally nobody is lmaoooo. It's all greasy-haired women
for real
Curly hair is curly hair! Gender doesn’t matter
Facts took me forever to find a good video
There should be products for "curly" as well as separately for "wavy" hair!!!!
Preach my 2a/2b brother
Youre literally THE BEST!!
great video as always. Would love to see your recommendation on wavy to straight hair styling and three holy grail products for that purpose.
shared on my fb , Jess ! Wishing you speedy 10K ... great work as always ❤️⛳️👌🙏🤩🤗😻
I must try this new product. Bout to get everybody sea sick with all these waves 🌊
Thanx bud 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
When I was younger I had quite a bountiful head of hair, like you do now Jesse. However the only product available at the time was Brylcreem, and you had to be content with “a little dab”, at least according to their jingle. Plus, to compound the hair management challenge, there weren’t any fancy hairbrushes like you use trust. Had to settle for a good old fashioned comb.
Hi Jesse!
Really love all your contents!
I have 3b curly hair (at least I think so), they are pretty thick and prone to frizz.
I currently use "Revlon style masters orbital 2" as style product after shower (on wet hair), it is not bad but it makes my hair a little bit crunchy.
Do you think that Moroccan oil curl cream could give a better effect to my hair? Does it also work as a heat protector?
I would be so happy if you could give me your opinion.
Thanks a lot!!
Gonna order that! Thank you!🔥
Waiting for your oil video😁
Discovered this curl cream in quarantine, it’s fiiiiire especially in the summer time with humidity
I feel like you might like Paul Mitchell’s Lavender Mint Taming Cream in your hair, to me personally it feels like a lighter version of the Moroccan curl cream, but still heavier than B&B. Kinda in between the two
Hi Matt! Is it suitable for wavy type 2 hair??
@@og3993 there a few different things to take into account before giving you an answer- is your hair fine, medium, or coarse? How dense is your hair? How often do you wash it? What do you wash with?
@@Matt_LaLuz hi thanks for responding! My hair are like “Dansby Swanson” medium long and wavy and I wash them 2-3 times a week
@@og3993 i think it Could be usefull for wavy aswell. Just just way less scrounging
Love the intro
Me too🤩
Please can you do a video on how to improve scalp health? I'm a big supporter of your videos. I have spots all over on my scalp and redness. Been there for almost a year now and it's affecting my hair loss and healthy growth 😭
Try seeing Dermatologist, sounds like it could be something regarding your health 😬
It’s my favorite too but I’m try a few new ones this week Ogx and Jelly’s
Hey, You should make a video on diffuser though? Will fit perfectly in your current style of videos!
What are your thoughts on the sulphate and silicones included in this product? A cheaper alternative curl creme such as cantu doesnt contain these ingredients.
Dude you’re a three pump chump just like me. So relatable. But you lost me at the extra two pumps haha
Hey have you tried the intense curl cream??
Yo Jesse. Can u do a review on got2b surfer hair paste? It’s Great for wavy hair
Do you blow dry on cool or with heat? Alot of people say not to use heat.
Would this work on straight / very slightly wavy hair? What would it do
Hi Jesse what shampoo and conditioner are you using atm?
a video on wavy hair and a big forehead for teens plz
what do you recommend for shampoo and conditioner?
What’s ur opinion on cantu curl activator cream?
When I use this product I get “crunchy” curls when it dries, is it suppose to be like that?
Also, should hair be sopping wet when applying it or dabbed dry with cotton t shirt first?
Thanks
Where do you get your t shirts from?
Does curl cream make hair crunchy
Is this product recommended for a guy with really straight hair?
What would happen if I put this on straight hair?
I have curly hair too, but I think my hair is a tad more curly. When I apply curl cream/gel/etc, I always get crunchy hair and have to scrunch out the crunch. Do you get a crunch too? Can you make a video on it? And also a lot of people say to use a diffuser on curly hair but I notice you don’t. Always like seein other people’s routines
Diffusers are great if you have them! and no, I hate crunch and don’t use products that leave my hair crunchy
@@Jessesbarbershop interesting. I find that basically every curl creme/product I use when I let it air dry and/or diffuse, it’ll always become crunchy and then I scrunch it out so my curls are more bouncy. But it’s kind of a nuissance having to scrunch it out and wish that wha ever I product I used didn’t have to be touched after. What products do you use that don’t have the crunch?
I get crunchy hair too but what seems to work for me is using way less product when styling. For leave In conditioner I scoop with 2 fingers and I use curling custard with a 1 finger scoop. Little seems to do alot
How many months have you let your hair grow, im at 8 months and there are not nearly as long as yours
Interesting. My hair type is completely different (very fine). My hairdresser always uses Moroccan oil hydration creme. It feels great on the day, but usually starts looking a bit stringy and lank within a day or two (I normally only need to wash my hair once every week or two.
Do you reapply the product after a day?
@@alexitanguay it's been a little while since I used it. I tried only after washing, a couple of times a week, every day, after only some washes. I just couldn't seem to find a sweet spot with it.
You shilud make video on cheap shampoo and conditioner for dry damaged frizzy hair
Do you always shampoo and condition before styling your hair?
I’m going for a wavy, short, layered haircut with my wavy, high density, fine 2A hair. Should I go for products like pastes, pomade, clays, etc or go for more curly hair oriented products to accentuate my wave and hold it?
dont use any type of oils in your hair, only moisturising and hydrating products (creamy ones). try making a spray bottle with water and add hair masks in it or conditioner. your hair will smell amazing and you can go to sleep without worrying abt your hair in the morning because you have a spraybottle that fix everything. remember to scrunch :3
@@louisebekken3708 why hair ool is bad? Should I stop using argan oil?
@@SideEffects297 some type of oils can be/act too heavy on hair with a weak curl pattern. there is oils made for curly hair tho. you might need to do some further research, but you can use whatever oil you prefer ofcourse. this is just what works for me or the tips i found :) have a nice day
Tell me how mange my wavy hair without hairdryer!!
Absolutely, it exists only in Morocco called "ARGAN OIL" and it's too expensive as a raw material... It can be eaten as well so freaking healthy.
Recommend it
The product is not from Morocco, it’s from Isreal and only contains some argon oil
US viewer here~! Love this channel! Thank you for all the great content! I’d love to support your channel by purchasing through your Amazon affiliated link, but it sends me over to the Canadian site. 😅
FIXED :) thanks for the support!
Hey Jesse I have a question how does one setup their curls without wetting their hair? Like days that I don't wash my hair but I need to set my hair for work
Not Jesse here (obviously), but I recommend getting a satin bonnet or sth to sleep in so your hair doesn't get messy overnight. You should be able to just move it into place in the morning if you use that.
@@Trisiton oof huge!! thank you!! i just lookd them up had no idea what the name for that was till now ahahahha
I just wet my hair tbh even on non wash days
Video idea: hair tutorial/ Breakdown of Damiano David (singer of the band Måneskin). This dude is super hyped right now since Eurovision
I should’ve tried this instead of a perm.
Oh yea definitely or get a beach wave perm not a curly perm
i tried this product out on my thick wavy hair but it dried it out so badly....any ideas?
Camille Rose, Donna’s Recipe
Monea Curl Defining Milk
Hi, May I know if your hair color is natural?
Tis
This one has bad chemicals tho right?
No that’s cancu
I’m pretty sure it has a ton of silicones in it, which is making me very hesitant to purchase 😢
It has many bad ingredients
is it really worth it evrn tho it has rlly bad ingredients
That’s my question. I want to know if it’s healthy and if supports the hair and scalp.
@@lancer717 I made the decision of not buying it since it has silicones that could lead to build up in your hair and other bad things. There are many other clean brands who have good ingredients such as Camille Rose… etc
silicones being bad is really a myth. A lot of other hair brands incorporate oils and polyquats instead of silicones that can build up on your hair too. You just have to make sure you’re clarifying your hair if you decide to use silicones or basically any sort of hair products that build up. I have thick ass wavy hair, and I’ve tried to go without silicone and my hair had varying results. Sometimes it’d look okay, on the rare occasion, it looked good, and for the most part it looked like garbage. My hair is way more consistent with silicone products.
That’s the tough part about hair care, you just gotta figure out what works best for you, but silicones being bad like I said, are a huge myth.
Is your hair curly or wavy? 🤔
why don’t u go for a middle part? I think it would look better
JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH MORE THEN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE
So that now there are soo many curly hair vids, come back to wavy hair. 😁. Mine is wavy.
Always use a nozzle
This product is full of silicones isn’t it?
Yeah it is, bizarre recommendation
you hair isn’t even that curly… more wavy than anything. i have ringlet curls and this shit is top dog for hair like that
Moroccanoil has silicone and garbage ingredients though, I don’t know why you’re comfortable putting that stuff into your hair.
What is bad about silicones? It's not exactly environmentally friendly, that's true, but apart from that I don't see a problem with it.
@@turinho It's bad for your hair, isnt' it?
@@fufu1405 Not at all, that's the point. It's demonised by the natural hair community for no valid reason if you ask me. All it does is coat the hair with a very thin layer of silicone. If you use silicone with intend, it's great for sealing moisture into the hair.
I only use silicone in the last product I apply. After washing my hair, I put a moisturising leavin conditioner in my hair. And in the last step, a curl cream with silicone. The silicone coats the hair and seals the cuticle so that the moisture stays in the hair.
Nice
@@turinho Hmm interesting, thanks for the info. Do you think you should wash your hair more often when using products like these?
Eww, It's an israeli product not Moroccan...skip
Isn’t that Moroccan product filled with alcohols and silicons? After a few months of your hair isn’t going to be too happy.
It’s not a Moroccan product numb nuts 🥜 it’s from Isreal and only some argon oil from Morocco
It is full of terrible things, in the long run it will ruin the curls
