Hangman's Alley Settlement Tour - Vanilla Rebuild
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2024
- This turned into a very small marketplace and service-center-type thing with a tiny provisioner depot. It's self-supporting and completely contained so it actually works as a full settlement. This entire build was streamed live, and that playlist is here: bit.ly/2lvBpYv
Finally found the time to at least furnish it--tried to decorate it but shelves and surfaces wouldn't hold anything no matter what I did, so this particular tour is undecorated.
Now to start working on finishing up Murkwater...
Thanks for watching!

May be my favourite hangman’s alley, love the walk ways that follow the curved shape of the buildings they attach to.
Thank you! :)
I love seeing Hangman's Alley builds and this is one of my favorites. I especially like that it's not overly built up but functional. You've given me several excellent new ideas! I usually make it my player home because of the central location and the fact that settlers won't go past that corner so I can put my house back there without them invading my space. Haha.
Thanks! Hope it's been useful. :)
One disadvantage of putting your house there, and something that made me a bit nervous about the placement of the generator and water pump in this build, is that the corner of that area is an enemy spawn point during attacks. I tend to make that area into some kind of defended entrance, rather than putting vital equipment there, but that's just how I like to play.
@@patrikhjorth3291 Yes! I make a "death room" in that back corner where the enemies spawn! Concrete walls and many turrets looking down from above. :D There's also a spawn point right in the freakin middle of the settlement, in front of the workbench. I tend to put the water and power under the un-scrapable building, but if I'm not there during an attack, damage is just a random roll anyway and I've never lost a suit of power armor there. Unlike Sanctuary... (lookin at you Carla).
This is by far one of (if not) the best hangman’s alley build I’ve seen, the way your buildings look so nature up against the old world buildings and the way you make the use of the objects you can’t remove is genius. You definitely earned yourself a sub and I can’t wait check out your other builds!
Thanks! If you like this kinda building style, there's plenty more of it around here haha ;)
Awesome build in a rather tight spot especially giving the difficulties of the Alley. Love it :)
Thanks! It was more fun than I expected, particularly given the problems I had at first. :P
Your build was one of the ones that inspired me to build up my Hangman's Alley. it's now one of my favorite builds!
Awesome! :D
Hangman's Alley is one of my favourite settlement locations, in part because of the challenge of building something nice in the limited space. You certainly rose to that challenge!
A thing I like to do for crops is to place one or two mutfruit trees as "decorative plants", and then put carrots down in various places. The assiged farmer will then wander around the area and look more like a maintenance person / groundskeeper than a farmer. I think it works for the "urban" setting.
I _really_ like the idea of a dedicated area for the provisioners. I usually put some kind of storage near every shop or other activity, but having a drop-off for the provisioners is really clever.
I freaking love this. The point about how there's not a lot you can do with it is exactly why I love trying to see what I can do with it.
And I love how each trader has personal space, how the generator has its own room, how the beds look like somewhere a person might actually want to sleep usually these things and getting sort of slapped wherever haphazardly, even by those of us trying to avoid that sort of thing.
This looks like what the Minutemen might actually DO with this space.
Ah, the birth of the reminders about the thing. Memories.
:D
Really? This is where the thing started? I feel like someone should build a monument here to honor it. Perhaps even a recruitment beacon to draw in more admirers.
This is a gorgeous and fantastic build! This is exactly how I envision Hangman’s Alley!
Whoa you make hangman's alley spacious, I always get stress out because mine looks so cramped, very good job
Wow great job with just a limited space
Awesome way to set up hanger mans alley
Thanks! Was a fun little build. :)
@@SarDeliac i dont know what to build their but alot of your builds inspire me to what to build at hanger mans alley
For vanilla this is amazing! Just shows that you can have fun even without mods.
I build settlements using like 20 mods, vanilla hits different I would say this has to be the best vanilla settlement I have seen.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the tour. :)
thankyou. hangmans alley is my favourite due to its location but i never know how to use it properly. definitely will be doing something like this. although if settlers cant enter the first bit ill make it my personal house. thanks again. this is proof that you dont need mods to make good stuff.
This looks so awesome. Such a true post-apocalyptic feel! I either need more skill or imagination, can’t decide which since I’ve only just started playing this game for the first time ever, recently. Loved this little tour!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the tour. :)
So many cool ideas, I love how this turned out. Especially the curved stairway leading up to the guard posts and quarters!
oh yeah, that stairs are just wild! took some time building/rug-glitching I assume... actually I would like a tutorial of that, always having hard times with stairs.
I just finished copying this settlement build. It's the first settlement I've ever completely built. I followed the live stream through, and then this video to get the finishing touches. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. The place has a real feel to it now that I notice when I'm there. The only thing I need to do is finish vault 88 because I don't have all the pieces to complete the doctor's office. So I'll be off to do that. I also didn't see where you place the wire for the nuka-cola store front so mine doesn't have light, and I don't want to deal with wires so I just think of it as a shut down store front. That's why they have the signs over the boarded up windows, but no lights. Thanks! I learned so much by doing this.
Really awesome build
Thank you! :)
How is this possible? I swear, my hangmans alley is physically smaller than this one. I cannot fit everything in it
Pillar and conduit glitch help a TON
He probably used mods
Great build.
Thank you!
I cam back to watch this again 4 years later because I loved this build so much
Same. lol
This is almost better than one of Corlessvii’s builds almost
Just started a re-play after a few years…
Unlocked Hangman’s.
This vid is Great inspiration 👍
Also, I didn’t know about the settlers movement limit before, so huge thanks for that information 👍👍👍
Best hangman’s build I’ve seen, nice work for one of the hardest spaces to do anything in.
Earnt yourself a subscribe
1:20 I've never thought of using a sleeping bag like that before.
One of Sar's fingerprints. You'll find that table bed in the majority of his settlements.
@@theinsaneshecklador6598 I can't get the sleeping bag to sit on the table. How do you do that?
Love the scrappy feel at the front gate near the nuka shop....good job!
Man, is this place sexy! Love the sparse lighting and the way all the buildings flow and work with the pre-existing environment, it’s not overdone and bulky either. I’m always a sucker for people who can manage to make something that feels like it could quietly fit into the actual world because it’s something I can never seem to grasp, which is especially impressive with a settlement as bugged as hangman’s alley. I’ll definitely have to check out your other stuff!
Thanks! Hope it gives you some ideas, and yeah, if you like this kinda thing, there's plenty more tucked away around here, that's for sure. :P
I really like what you did with the bar. I can't imagine getting so detailed but it gives me some ideas.
What you can do without mods is simply amazing. Hangman's Alley is one of my favorite settlements & I love to build there. I try to make whatever I build "fit in" with the surrounding area, so I never attempt to make it packed with settlers. It's always a very detailed small build. As usual, you've inspired new ideas, even though I use mods to make building easier & less fussy. Awesome job, well done!
Thank you! Glad this stuff is useful. :)
Great job! I never know what to do with Hangman's Alley, as it is very limited in space. But you gave me great ideas, thanks!
Thank you! Glad it gave you some ideas. :)
Amazing I never would have guessed how much detail I could put into this settlement. Truly amazing build keep it up.
Such an amazing build
dang that's a good build.
Blue Prints Maybe?? All Your Builds Are Incredible!
Thanks! I build on XB1, so I don't have the ability to export these things. If you want to see how this was all put together I make playlists of the streams when I post the tours. Link's in the description. :)
urgh trying to build this but i cant get anything to snap propery 😣 how did you make the bar front? i see the metal round wall and the wooden balcony wall but cant figure out how you've managed to put everything together 😅
Neat build! I'm contemplating a Hangman's Alley build. Some great ideas
This is so cool to see. I feel like Hangman's requires some of the most creativity and ingenuity because of how small it is, especially if you don't have scrap everything or place anywhere mods.
Everything spot has its own distinct personality and that makes it feel truly alive. Very well done.
The best hangman alley
Thanks! :)
Very impressive for vanilla building
Thanks! :)
oh man. I really miss fallout 4 building. I am gradually making my way through some of your older vids. they are all so good!
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying the show. :)
I'm glad to see a bed beyond the small white one.
this is beautiful
Was just looking at Hangmans alley wondering what is possible to build in such a tight small space great build you did.
Very good. Thanks!
Incredibly imaginative. I'm jealous of your settlement.
looks stunning. very well done
Good idea to decor the doors and windows it makes you think that the settlement is even bigger. I also liked the dresser under the shop and the spiral staircase
Wow this is pretty good you have more patience than me putting all that work into this
I like how you used all the available space! I also like your little house builds for merchants behind or next to their shops. I will set up my settlement at Red Rocket Shop in a similar way, where merchants' living quarters are within their shops. Brilliant idea and nice, tasteful decorations! Thank you for the tour.
Im horrible at building settlements, this give a nice idea
Nice job!
This guy is genius 😂😂😂
I swear I can never fit that much stuff in Hangman’s Alley 😭 definitely using this for inspiration next time I play!
A majestic build, I love it. Thanks again for sharing and for uploading the build stream. I’m trying to recreate the build myself using your exact steps.. The tips I’ve learned are insane - thank you!
this is one of the best and most believable Hangman's Alley builds I've seen and you did it all without mods, very impressive :)
Thank you so much for sharing your creativity. One day I'll have the confidence to post mine.
Don't be shy Robert. What little I've seen looks good and we are all constantly working on improving.
Thanks! Lemme know when you do. ;)
Soon Gentleman. Ten Pines.... maybe Seven Pines. ;)
@@B0bsUrUncle Awesome. Looking forward to it.
Sar and Sheck. 30 min till 7 pines bluff
wow. it's so elegant. love it.
I dont know what to do with my playthrought in this place, because its a freaking alley...this really helpful tnx man.
if im being honest hangman's alley is one of the most underated settlement bulding spots since it actually allows u to build pretty high up i ended mine with 3 stories but man the details u have in urs easily takes the cake since i cant figure out how to manage the lack of space
I'm.... I'm gonna go rewatch the building streams now. Wow.
Thanks! You can skip the first one if you want; it's mostly cursing haha :P
Awesome build
This is a nice little build. I'm currently trying to figure out my survival build for it. Pretty hard to figure out plots but you've used generally empty spaces very neatly.
This makes me want to scrap all my halley and start a new
Wow!!! Making the most of a small space, i love it (:
Thanks!
i just love it. especially the curved stairs!
I constantly find myself looking back to this video for inspiration because your build is that good. I plan on using Hangmans Alley as an Operators base because they're one of the more glamorous factions.
Thank you! Glad it gave you some ideas. :)
I would love an instructional video on how to recreate these settlements that you come up with. Spectacular!!!
For this one, there's a link to a playlist in the description; I streamed this entire build, so you can see (if you want) how literally everything was put together. ;)
@@SarDeliac thank you so much for the heads up! Amazing content!
Here I am thinking mine was the shit, this is frickin awesome!!!
Another brilliant, scrappy build! Watching your builds and how you problem solve with the logistics of it, really inspires me to jump back into the game and give it a go myself. Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks, and will do. ;)
I love your guided tours
This is amazing I love all the small details !
This is a great tour, love your voice and the explanation of the lore bits
Wow. Great job man. See, this is the kind of stuff I want to build in my settlements, but when I actually start building, I just stop caring after about 10 minutes. I usually blow my creativity load on my personal player home.
Thanks! it's not too bad if you take it in stages and leave it alone for a while if you get bored. ;)
I Love it, I was actually trying to find something to build and found it, Awesome
Thank you! Hope it gives you some ideas. :)
Nice work
Dude for real. This is pretty dope! I'm only gonna do one thing differently, and that's build up more. You can build on top of the buildings! But I still really love your build. Mine is definitely going to be inspired by yours.
This is so cool!
5:35 impeccable comedic timing
This is really cool, I also noticed how you put that lamp into the umbrella and I had no idea you could do that!
Thanks! Yeah, that's a trick I got from PhoenixEmbrace back in the day. You don't have to do anything special, either; it just goes right in there.
This is for me the most frustrating settlement due to the aforementioned AI sandboxing. Even with sandbox mods that back entry seems to be an issue- they either avoid the area or all pool together right where your maintenance shed is. This is a refreshing take on this particular settlement, I'm inspired to use some elements in my build. Thanks for this!!
so nice. You are an awesome vanilla builder
Thanks! Glad you're enjoyin the show. :)
Looks great as always! I did an atom cats theme build here. Everyone dressed in atom cats jackets and ratty skirts lol.
Seems fitting lol, so you still play?
Yes i am still playing. Lol sorry for the delay
@@EZEfallout Lol nice don't worry about it, half didn't expect a reply anyway. Sorry for fast af reply.
😁👍🏻
best and realistic
This is great I’d love to see a build tutorial for something like this!
There's a link to a playlist in the description--I streamed this entire build start to finish, so if you want to see how it went together, that's a good place to start. ;)
New here. Just looking for some inspiration for my overboss build that I was recently able to get from the cloud after 3 years. where the majority of my raiders are Operators. I like this idea
Love it!
Dude you sound just like proctor teagan in the prydwin
When I fist played Fo4 I thought hangman alley was a stupid place to make a settlement. But after starting my first survivor run this became my favorite settlement, it’s in the middle of the map and so close to diamond city.
Hii Sar 👋💙 it looks great 👌 and yes I saw on stream too
I really like the flow of it hugs and love from Helene 🤗
Thanks Helene! :)
@@SarDeliac you very welcome 💪 👍
Nice job, Sar. Love it! My favorite place to build, as it is annoying as hell! hehe :)
Thanks Denise! Yeah, this one was not one of my favorites, but it was fun learning new ways to work around terrain problems. :P
This is amazing man
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
love this build!
Thank you! :)
2022 Missing your Fallout builds xd
Quite minimalist compared to mine, but also more real life like, nice.
nice job with the build would love to see it with a more "lived-in" kind of vibe though
I had problems with this settlement, this video kinda is a good visual blueprint for me.
Fantastic work Sar. I have a hard time doing anything here, sinking things is really hard. And not alot of room for group selecting.
It's all about the marble track supports in Hangman's--don't even bother with the concrete pillar. ;)
Yep, thanks. The barn long post works well too, except for floors 🍺
Love this build!
I did my own as a "hanging gardens" idea. A bunch of mutfruit and corn on the highest level I could make it, all shops at max level. I put so much crap in this settlement that the game crashes everytime I go there 😑
I made hang mans alley my player home due to it being close to diamond city and that it kinda comes with pre made homes that I can improve on
I love your settlement I rebuilt mine using some of your ideas and it looks so much better. not nearly as good as yours though
