      2003 is the last year for this van in the US. So you have the best of the best. Congratulations!

    We had a car like this, but in a T3 version. We loved it..... taxes in Denmark made it to expensive to keep,- but boy what an awesome car. Regarding keep warm, we had a diesel heater in ours. We could sleep in the winter time. Cheers.

      Thanks for sharing! These minivan MV campers go for a fortune now...

    The Weekenders are terrific and great fun, but I still absolutely love my 2002 Eurovan Camper. After 20 years, there is still nothing (in the US market) that can replace it fully. It is the true Swiss Army knife of cars in a "Goldilocks" sized package: not too big, not too small.

      That is true! That's why a low mileage example of a VW camper sell in the $40k-$50k range!

    Very cool! You need to do the actual camper and review it. Get a 1990 Vanagon Camper if you can to review.

      I agree! I would love to get my hands on one of those Vanagons. Although they had full Eurovan campers up to 2003 here in the states. I never had a Vanagon but I think Eurovans are superior in terms of spaciousness and performance... What do you think?

      @@ValEuroSport performance yes. Space and quality no. The bed on the eurovan is longer but more narrow. I’m 6’2” so I would like the wider bed since I can always put a box with a cushion under my feet or have my feet hang off the edge. The power can be fixing the van again by putting in a stronger engine and most people use Subaru’s. Since the vehicle is mounted with the engine in the back you have a lot more space in the front for you to be able to see since the windshield is a lot taller and overall the Vatican has more compartments to store things. One of the bad things about the euro van is when the bed is down you don’t have access to the cabin if it’s directly under the faucet. The heat is going to be better on the euro an for sure you can always fix up an event to work better with a different heater and fridge.Also personally I just like the look of the Vatican better and the quality since it’s Westfalia instead of Winnebago

    Without the kitchen and other Westfalia type cabinets, it's not much more than a minivan..Harder to find the full outfitted camper vans unlike this "Weekender" model..

    • @ValEuroSport
      @ValEuroSport  4 года назад +5

      Hi Chris, I am sorry I must disagree. It is much more than a minivan. What else on the market short of a full blown camper van will offer the possibility of sleeping 4 people (2 on the flattened rear seats and 2 up in the pop up camper top)? What other minivan out there gives you a folding table, mini fridge, facing 2nd and 3rd row seats, sliding windows with bug screens, and privacy shades all around?

    What is the gas mileage on this?

    • @HP-mf4df
      @HP-mf4df 3 месяца назад

      For a 2002 like the one in the video, it gets 17 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
