Thank you! The pop top might be our favorite feature - you get tons of space and the bed is a good size to accommodate more friends! We are eager to get it out on some more adventures asap! 😊
JUST like my Reflex Silver 2001 EuroVan MV that we sold 2 years ago, except mine was not a camper. GREAT to drive, but it was AN ELECTRICAL NIGHTMARE!!!!!!
Great looking van, I'll have to send you guys one of our club stickers here in the UK. I've just had my poptop fitted, great bit of kit. Happy adventures 🤙🏼
Had 2002 Eurovan mv money pit. At 110k, I had transmission changed, multiple break pad and tire changes as this car goes through them. Electric seat heater burned a whole through seat, all kinds of leak around sun roof. Last draw was engine repair and water pump for $3400 at 130k. Wouldn't wish the Eurovan to my enemies. You will end up spending lots of $$ on this beauty.
So sorry you had that kind of experience! I live on the East Coast (Nova Scotia) and while rust can of course be a challenge, we regularly see these Vows go 250-300 plus K. The VR6 is a beast! I was shocked how well they tow as well. A buddy of mine has pulled his dirt bikes for quite some time with no worries at all.
I think the biggest pros are that it really is such a good camping/adventure vehicle for us and friends - plenty of space, comfy to sleep in, etc. Biggest con is the price and lack of availability of parts if/when things break or need replacing. When things are working well we LOVE it, and when things go wrong it's a bit more stressful than a 'normal' vehicle fix - so sort of a love/hate relationship if that makes sense! 😅❤
Two years later. How's it been? Please do another video. If you aren't happy with it, I suggest making a video of what you like, post that to try to help sell it. But also create another video of what you didn't like about it, to post after you sell it. And, would a system like Bluetti AC 180 with 200W portable solar panels help solve any electrical problems you may have encountered, as anyone does on a 20 year old vehicle? Thanks!
Beautiful people and 🐶. Great video. I'm looking at a Volkswagen coach build 2002 LWB. In great condition with new roller bed. My only concern is the mileage .. 180k
Well done video. I had a 2001 MW Weekender, great recreational vehicle but the transmission is the weak link so regular oil changes a must along with an external transmission cooler from Westy. I'm curious if anyone out there has converted one to a Tesla EV running gear?
Thanks for watching! We have loved our van, though (per our most recent video) we did have some trouble with is on a cross country roadtrip (blew a radiator fan which cut into the radiator). We got the parts we needed from another VW van owner and it has been great since!
The previous owner put those on there - I'm not sure exactly where these came from but there's a lot of similar styles (or probably even the same style) on Amazon/other online stores if you search for "van bench seat cover". Hope that helps! ☺️
That's awesome - I'm sure you will love it! We paid $14k for ours. The previous owner had just replaced the engine and transmission and gave us another set of tires as well. Enjoy your van!
I am loving your van layout! The popup leaves so much room down in the van. Hope you are enjoying many adventures.

Shout out from PDX! I noticed the sticker in your video.
Safe travels ✌️

How so? What wasn't working?
Thank you for sharing your van, we are thinking of buying one and you video was an education THANK YOU

Thank you - we'd love that! The poptop really is a game changer. Thanks for watching & happy adventures in your wonderful van as well! :)
@@mattandkelli Well if you guys are on Facebook, look up DisjointedDubs and we can get a sticker sorted for you. 🤙🏻

Yikes! Thank you for this insight - we've been curious about other's experiences since running into our first repairs.

your van is the same as the VW Caravelle in Brazil, but here we only had the transport version: 10 removable seats.
How cool! I didn't know that - thank you for watching/sharing! :)
super cool, how has your experience been with it these past 2 years

@@mattandkelli that's normal and happens to all Eurovan owners.
where did u get the back seat cover?

I bought one for my wife new in 2003, the last year they sold them in US. I loved that van but she didn’t like it for some reason 😢
Wow how amazing! We may be biased but I’m not sure how you couldn’t love it, they’re so cool! Hope you got some good enjoyment out of it! ♥️
WOLKSWAGON AIR COOLED ENGINE?
Ours is not air cooled - we have a 2.8 liter V6. I believe older/other models have the air cooled engines! :)
I'm about to get this van in about the same exact condition, if you don't mind me asking how much did you guys purchase this for?
That's awesome - I'm sure you will love it! We paid $14k for ours. The previous owner had just replaced the engine and transmission and gave us another set of tires as well. Enjoy your van!
Ifvyour buying one with over $100k miles, expect to spend $7 to 9k for engine and transmission replacement.
Thanks for video
Thank you for watching! :)
