I find Diluc especially to be dissapointing. Wanted to see him and Collei potentially interact. Imagine the potential sweet, sweet lore we coul- I mean... *_wholesome interactions_* we'd get if that happened.
Them had screen time in last mondstadt event. Though benny and razor here, brief as they were, seemed unnecessary. Also I really wished hu tao came to see venti here.
the real question is why isn't a 5-star mondstadt character included in the rate-up banners considering that this patch is a mondstadt event patch.. eula and albedo would've made a lot of sense..
You gotta respect Cyno's dedication. When it comes to Genius Invocation TCG, man will stop at nothing for his love for the game. When it comes to his duty as the General Mahamatra, he will always respond when justice is 'Collei'.
Tho with this event God power like or not, I'm pretty sure Dottore will die if he try to talk to Collei if Cyno and Tighnari are here. No one have sympathy for Dottore (only Liyue don't seems have characters who wants him dead when in other region like Mondstadt, Inazuma and Sumeru Dottore is a persona non gratta) I wonder how people think he will be playable. Also Cyno had a contract with a God from Sumeru so I wonder if he can be equal in force with Dottore :/ Archon's power depends of the people faith have for their God. So if no one is workshipping Dottore, does that means his strength is similar to a normal God ?
For a man from the desert, it's interesting that Cyno is dedicated to serving 'justice', especially in the desert. You would have thought he would be serving 'just water' given how hot it is.
IF Rosalyne was part of the Hezenzirkel, her parting ways with them could be related to how they ''made peace with the Anemo Archon'' after trying to overthrow him. Given Signora absolutely despises him, she likely wouldn't have been too keen on forming a truce of sorts with him.
One nice detail is that Cyno' appearance in Mondstadt cause Sayid, the Sumeru Scholar in front of the Statue of Barbatos, to panic. Poor man mistaken Cyno the Adventurer for General Mahamatra Cyno 😂

So in Diluc’s family we have: Dad: Used a mysterious delusion that is possibly more powerful than the normal delusion,possibly a ex-Fatui. Mom: Possibly a member of the Hexenzirkel. Brother: Chivalry Captain and Descendant of the founder of the abyss. Diluc himself: Banned from Shneznaya,tavern owner,Batman,part of some mysterious underground organization. (Btw is Rosaria also a part of that organization? Since yk she and Diluc basically do the same thing) Maid: *_Cannibal_*
Cyno's one was really interesting. It seems to suggest that Hermanubis was the priest (of king deshret?) And that power was sealed within him. We also saw the deshret civilization cutscene where the one narrating looked similar to Cyno, or Cyno looked like him. And he was a priest. So Hermanubis could be another one of them? It's been shown on many occasions that Paimon has a mind of a child or acts like it. So her comment on the 'cat couple' might just be another sign of that. Kids don't really care about romance afterall. But then again, although rare, she has also shown instances when she acts more mature.
Although power level is not a requirement to be part of Hexenzirkel, some of the comments here still seem to judge Signora's powers based on the Archon Quests and Weekly Boss fight. The video talks of the time when she was The Crimson Witch of Flames. The Signora we encounter in game is merely a shell of her former self. Even her title is changed to Crimson Witch of Embers. 500 years ago, Signora was a well-known scholar graduated from Sumeru Akademiya and had just returned to Mondstadt. After the cataclysm and being recruited by the Fatui, she becomes what we see her as in the game. Anyways, it is just speculation for now and could be wrong.
doesn't make sense for Signora to be expelled just because of that, we have Gold who was called Great Sinner so Signora probably wasnt in the group, also some of the original 8 passed on title so probably not that someone died either with the 7 seats thing
Thank you for saying this, it always annoys me how Signora is now underestimated due to her death and boss fight. It's also Mihoyo's fault for never showing her lore properly and explaining her powers, it's still a mystery how she got them and she's still a powerful legend who was feared so much that historians despised to record her.
I think that it is more plausible that Signora left the Hexenzirkel by her own volition rather than being expelled. Considering that the cataclysm took his lovers life, and that Gold (Rhinnedotir) had a role in how that event happened, then maybe Signora had a strong reason to also blame the whole circle for her lover's demise. That would also explain better why she hates being called a witch.

It's in his instinct, maybe he sensed some kind of kinship he has with the with haired boy he saw. Probably cuz razor and cyno are related and have some kind of connection to each other.

Alice is like a mother figure to Albedo(Rhinedottir being his creator/mother and also a member of Hexenzirkel. She maybe was asked to take care of Albedo) and Diluc(insisting that he calls her mom. This could be that Diluc's mother was also a part of Hexenzirkel.)
Having Signora/Rosalyne being banished from Hexenzirkel for her deeds in bringing destruction would be weird considering that Rhinesdottir is basically the one that's responsible for Cataclysm (after Khaenriah was destroyed she unleashed Rifthounds and Durin to Teyvat in retaliation, as mentioned in the lore of Chunk of Aerodiserite) and dared to think Albedo was her only child when she had so many others that she fed to each other. Alice also have levelled areas in Mondstadt just because it's not to her liking, and she probably knows what Hilichurls are yet she wants to turn them into energy slave, and plan to use the older/weaker hilichurls as food for the stronger ones (Mondstadt's Teyvat Travel Guide). Honestly I dare say that Rosalyne probably is the one that doesn't want to be lumped in with these very questionable witches instead. 😂 And not all witches seem to be part of Hexenzirkel, like Lisa is basically known as Witch of Purple Roses and yet she's not interested in Hexenzirkel at all. The Blue-Eyed Witch seems like an interesting contender though, and personally, I think they don't introduce the remaining members because we're about to see them soon, so probably they just want to keep it a secret from us a bit longer. Speaking of M's book and the fact that Hexenzirkel is known to do Irminsul exploration, I wonder if her fairytales are allegories/backup of deleted histories like Nahida's story about kitty Scaramouche. After all, the Boar Princess is a story about a Boar Princess' relationship with a pup wolf, and in Andrius' profile, they say that he received his power from an older god. I wonder if it's possible that the two are related....

Kind of unrelated, but speaking of books, what is you guys interpretation about Flowers for Princess Fischl? Is it just a book or is there a hidden message in it? We already know the author (Mr. Nine) and that Fischl is role-playing based on the book, but the existence of Oz always weirds me out. As far as I know, Fischl is the only vision holder who can literally summon a smart and sentient being from nowhere.

That’s more so coincidence tho. She sees that as “just her job” follow and investigate suspicious ppl and apprehend them if necessary. Also both times she’s never interested in what is actually happening and just wants to know if they’re a threat to mondstadts safety. A cool theory, but right now there is nothing that backs it up except for “coincidences”
I think you're on to something. Contrary to the notion of "coincidence", stories are not written or framed with coincidence in mind. See "Chekov's Gun"; a rule of writing which states that if something is shown or spoken of, it must have greater importance going forward. The only thing standing against the theory is that Genshin is written very specifically to be a "unreliable narrator", or in other words, nothing in Genshin can be taken at face value, even and especially if prominent characters give you the explicit story; it's better to suspect that any and every answer is a half-truth at best.
Nice to know that Collei comes to Mondstadt often, but she gotta be careful using her Elemental Burst every time she would step into Mondstadt. Cause you know she'll be 'Cuilein-Anbar' each time 😂

I have a odd feeling it might be relevant soon... Especially with Diluc's semi-new outfit, and the implied Delusion powers he's using with it? I have SUCH a bad feeling.
Consecrated beasts in sumeru (3 types for now, 3 more being added in 3.6) Are just normal animals who fed on archon residue. Possibly either residue of scarlet king.
Ppl seem to be getting it as the joy Collei experienced in the new event means she purified the dead god remains but i take that to be wishful thinking tbh since what's needed for the god remains to come out is an emotional outburst, joy being the one taking place this time, but who knows maybe the god remains act different to each emotion.
@@pozzsicle At least in the Manga, Diluc's delusion was destroyed at the end so he wouldn't be using it anymore. However they could always change that. Dottore looks WAY different now to how he looked in the manga and comes off as less manic. On a side note, prior to this event I didn't know Cyno also had a divine spirit inside of him. His personal attention to Collei makes a lot more sense when you realise he can sympathise somewhat with her in that regard.
Venti definitely the most sus archon so far. He so carefree and enjoy his normal life, but also know everything that happens in his nation. Zhongli is pretty sharp too, but he let his people to handle it by themselves.

It's not a title of her heroic deeds but a symbol of the terrifying monster she was. I know it's just a possibility but I think signora didn't have any affiliation with the hexenzirkel, maybe mondstat people just call signora a witch because they know about the hexenzirkel, alice is a very famous name among the folks at least

That would feel a bit cheap unless it somehow lead to some link to Gold showing up. Technically it is worth mentioning that it isn't impossible that the Traveller could 'purify' Albedo, something it is easy to forget considering it hasn't really come up again since mondstat.

I think the priest's power might also suggest that Cyno is a priest from the desert, that could explain why his outfit looks similar to Priest Kasala. Maybe to be recognised as a priest they have to either make a contract or become a vessel to dead God's spirit or something else Don't think Skirk is one of them as she is mostly refered to as a swordswoman Your reasoning behind the Signiora speculation doesn't really make sense, you don't hate being a human just because you don't like some peope. Also Signiora's timeline doesn't add up much because she was at the Akademiya before the cataclysm and she went berserk after the Cataclysm and sering how the Fatui were formed after the Cataclysm and that 7 members were chosen before her. So she wasn't healed (cooled off) until that I think the 8th missing witch might be the" Most terrifying Witch" mentioned in the Cutscene. She might've been able to perform all the specialities of the other 7 mages and she might be the Night Mother now

another interesting detail I've notice, base on what we've learned at the table, is that witches could live up to hundreds of years. the scene of the gathering Alice told us took place centuries ago( this is told by what scarlet said to Alice and the fact that Rhindotter is still raising Albedo). Now of the six we are introduced, only Alice, Nicole, and Barbeloth are confirmed to be alive to the present story. Alice we know is an Elf so her living all that time make sence but Nicole and Barbeloth so far is human yet they lived for Centuries , and the implication that there is a difference between humans and witches.
Some additional evidence that may point towards Skirk being part of Hexenzirkel: In the Labyrinth Warriors event, Childe mentions that he "fought in the fissures that lie between great tree roots" while he was in the Abyss (with Skirk). One of Hexenzirkel's main projects is Irminsul exploration. So Skirk has definitely explored the Irminsul before, and may have done it with the Hexenzirkel.
I completely missed Cyno's mysterious past conversation. I'm assuming it happened with the characters on the map between the event quests. I really like when Hoyo put the characters somewhere during events, but putting them between quests may be missed by people who didn't think about searching for them beforehand, like me.
I mean if Alice knows that the Traveler is already aware of Nicole talking to us, meaning she already knows that there were tampering around Irminsul. Strongly proving Alice a Descender.
This time, Irminsul was modified only to 'erase' Maharukkhadevata and The balladeer and nothing else. It's not like the descenders will automatically get a notification or something that someone messed with the Irminsul. If the traveler wasn't around when incidents happened, they'd probably wouldn't really know what happened and would be really cofused. That to say, if Alice does know that 'the prophetess' talked to the traveler, then yes. She probably knows. Not to mention she has connections all over teyvat. That's how she gets informations and stuffs I guess.

There are so many people behind the scene that watch Traveler from the shadows and monitoring us where the poor Traveler don't even know who is watching them... The list is long and some of the people who are watching us are still unknown.
@Keito That's probably has to do more with her role as a 'prophetess'. Each witch has different fields of expertise afterall. Mona's master might not be aware of it despite being a witch of Hexenzirkle, for example.
Regarding the "Paimon hates love" section, "Paimon commenting on the Cat's Tail cats getting lovey dovey actually came off as a lot different in Chinese, due to a significant localization difference. In Chinese, Katheryne says that even the cats at the Cat's Tail have been "clingy all day" with each other recently. "Lovey-dovey" is an okay translation for that, but it imples romance/sexual activity that isn't implied in the Chinese. Paimon's "gross" in English is a reasonable response to the mistranslation. In Chinese, Paimon actually only says "darn it!" because of no comissions being available due to couples being too busy spending time on romance, and was just disappointed that they rushed over tot he Adventurer's Guild only to find there was nothing to do. Because the English translation of "lovey-dovey" is too strong of a word, the emphasis of what Katheryne says comepletely changed, and Paimon is reacting something completely different, and then it also carried over to the following idalogue of feeling disappointed.
I don't think Paimon hates love, her behaviour is pretty consistent with her being a bit of a child. As for la Signora, I kind of thought that she's the one who left, perhaps because the other members of the Hexenzirkel didn't help her get revenge the way she wanted, but the opposite could be true.
Collei: "When I first came to Mondstadt, I was pretty immature and generally pretty awful to everyone" Video popup: *Collei accidentally killed 2 people by burning them alive and injuring 15 more* I read the manga so this wasn't a surprise but still pretty jarring when put side by side like this. Pretty interesting to see how the game never mentions Collei killing anyone and during this event, she always dances around the topic like "Oh hehe, I was just little awkward back then ;P" but the manga tells an entirely different story.
Also, the group wanting to fight Venti at his prime has to be incredibly strong and ballsy to do. Teyvat would seriously be devastated if they were to fight seriously. Even if they were to kill Venti, it would cause the ire of other archons and the death of Venti would probably casts a massive unending storm around his deah.
Oh no. Venti killed them with "kindness". Maybe they saw the threat venti was and there's no way they will just accept the truce especially by the god who they confidently challenged.
I'll be so glad if hoyoverse one day upgrades certain 4* characters if they ever get stronger in the lore - like if Collei becomes able to full control the gods energy in her body
This event was amazing. I’m starting to think that Genshin will receive the “Merlin treatment”. It’s a show about Arthurian legends which started as a comedy, but offered a very depressing ending. The purple breath that came out of Collei hints at an unfinished story that could potentially take a dark turn.
One of the things i fear for Genshin impact's lore is the addition of way too many characters, we have a lot of characters whos lore is not much discovered yet. The game is 2 years old now and it only has explained the lore of few characters.
A Forest Ranger is always prepared with the resources available in the wild. We should expect Collei to have some Mint on hand before breathing into Sucrose's vial
In defense of Signora, I would leave the Hexenzirkel on my own since Gold, one of her "friends" was the one who summoned the monsters wich killed her loved one. Fk em, im with Rosalyne on this one
I’m pretty sure the power thing for Cyno’s case, is because he’s the descendant of Kasala, who was a historical figure in Sumerian who was one of the faithful priest of King Deshret. Which explains the Preist’s power that Cyno possesses. Though were other priests as well, so it doesn’t guarantee that Cyno is Kasala’s descendants but it’s likely.
Actually, It's more likely it's his grandmother, great grandmother given the time of this tea party in the cutscene. They have been many successes of J since that tea party took place. Meaning that their family was descended from that witch to have so many heirlooms in the house (the carpet in the house and diluc's clothes have the same filigree pattern on them). Or Diluc's mother is also immortal but that would be noted as she would have been in the family for hundreds of years.
Cat: The teapot design can also be found in Diluc's house Me: SO DILUC IS A PART OF THE HEXENZIRKEL? Cat: tells about his mom or aunt Me: .....ah right, that too.
Now that I think about it, it's interesting that the god residue inside collei taking the form of a snake is interesting, as dottore likely had access to 2 dead snake gods: Orobashi and Apep. Given the fire tho, I'm thinking it's most likely the latter, or maybe some amalgamation of the 2.
@@999noheart well, since we know that dottore spent quite some time in both inazuma and Sumeru, it's quite possible that he found the remains of both/either orobashi and Apep, and of course being dottore decided to experiment with what he found i.e. injecting it into kids like collei. I'm leaning more towards apep tho, as the residue is shown manifesting as a cobra with fire, rather than a python with lightning

Glad to see others also think Skirk might be one of the witches coz that's immediately what I thought when info about the other two members weren't mentioned. These women r definitely interesting & I'd love to learn more of them as we play. Also Venti, we haven't really seen his brute strength in battles but it's obvious being powerful doesn't have to be only physical strength. Besides, I believe it's more like he's choosing peace bcoz he prefers it, not bcoz he can't handle violence. He is an original archon from archon war along with Zhongli so I doubt we can underestimate him
I did think she might be cz i think i've heard a theory about her irl reference name links being kinda magicy?? (maybe in a Chill w/Aster vid about Childe??) so i'm not throwing anything out the window yet. Skirk does remind me of the witches (especially Gold) in that she delves in forbidden/sus stuff, but doesn't seem to mean harm by it?? She helped Childe learn foul legacy in abyss (which the witches also investigate??) to help him survive, and she also survived there (which only ppl like Scara can do). However foul legacy is a double edged sword, so i wonder why she didn't just yeet him out of abyss cz he's just a kid, but instead teach it him?? But idk why Alice wouldn't mention a name we already know?? I'd say she's maybe even Khaenriahn, but we already have Gold. Sidetrack here, I do wonder about the theory of masks though, since Fatui & hillichurls wear them to not see themselves/help control in a sense. B4 Childe got delusion & vision, did FL always have the mask element to it?? Will Skirk to help her control her abyssal ish powers??

I think that signora was a member of the hexenzirkel and when we get archon quests regarding the hexenzirkel it will be about them resurrecting signora to fight some archon
Another two interesting Hexenzirkel speculation theories! J's husband's illness made many people think of Baizhu. And theorize maybe J and her husband are part of his family tree, though we know J died centuries ago so it would put in kinda far away. Still, maybe Baizhu's illness were inherited from his family. Istaroth is one of the missing members. Theres many things that point at this, but Venti's relation with Hexenzirkel may indicate someone close to him beside Alice was a member. Aswell as the question ''why did the Hexenzirkel even want to challenge Barbatos in the first place?'' Also, the in game clock appears in the cutscene, and the traveler thinks ''Could Mona have sensed a great power?'' and the shot is the traveler with the Thousand Winds Temple right behind them. It's very deliberately showing that temple. Then it goes to the Irminsul, where the world's past memories are all saved. My take is that Istaroth and the Hexenzirkel real purpose is so restaure certain events from the timeline that were deleted, or maybe they're supervising what gets deleted or modified, in order to SOMEDAY go against Celestia, which according to Istaroth's lore it isn't far off, as she's more or less inactive right now, and it could mean that she's entrusted this task to Hexenzirkel itself.

Since Signora’s lover died in the cataclysm by monsters, I think the main reason Signora couldve been kicked out of Hexenzirkel was because she wanted revenge on Rhinedottr, since Rhinedottr created the wolfhounds. Makes sense since the Hexenzirkel was created to prevent the members from going against each other.
Signora wasnt on good terms with the Zirkel, she was never a member, she hated being called a witch. The missing chair is from J. She left after she married and then died, later than her husband, and the others didnt know she had a successor, thats why they took her chair away and never put it back, since they didnt know of Scarlett.
I was really digging the idea that a time god talked to the traveler after the sumeru questline But it was indeed then Nicole Who she is, whether she'll be a playable character, or if she's gonna get an entry in r34 at some point, is only something we'll find out in due "time"
I doubt Signoria was expelled. As the witches sought to fight Barbosa, I wouldn't be surprised if they intended to fight on her side... but as they didn't go threw with it, maybe Signora saw it as a betrayal. That said, Alice talks of members having left before & the place not being used for quite a while, so its possible one left of their own accord and the seat wasn't filled. (Especially as Alice wouldn't accept any replacements for the one until Scarelet caught her interest.)
I saw a comment on R/GenshinLore that proposed the idea that Signora was in the Hexenzirkel, and they challenged Barbatos because of her urging (it's implied Signora dislikes Barbatos because she feels he didn't do enough to protect Mondstadt and her lover). Then when the mages made peace with him and even got inspired to have their tea parties from him, Signora felt betrayed by the members and left before ever attending the tea party (seven chairs) which would even further explain why she hates the witch title.

We also saw the deshret civilization cutscene where the one narrating looked similar to Cyno, or Cyno looked like him. And he was a priest. So Hermanubis could be another one of them?
It's been shown on many occasions that Paimon has a mind of a child or acts like it. So her comment on the 'cat couple' might just be another sign of that. Kids don't really care about romance afterall. But then again, although rare, she has also shown instances when she acts more mature.

I came to my own conclusion that Cyno was a descendant of the priest's family line.
Although power level is not a requirement to be part of Hexenzirkel, some of the comments here still seem to judge Signora's powers based on the Archon Quests and Weekly Boss fight.
The video talks of the time when she was The Crimson Witch of Flames. The Signora we encounter in game is merely a shell of her former self. Even her title is changed to Crimson Witch of Embers.
500 years ago, Signora was a well-known scholar graduated from Sumeru Akademiya and had just returned to Mondstadt.
After the cataclysm and being recruited by the Fatui, she becomes what we see her as in the game.
Anyways, it is just speculation for now and could be wrong.

I think that it is more plausible that Signora left the Hexenzirkel by her own volition rather than being expelled.
Considering that the cataclysm took his lovers life, and that Gold (Rhinnedotir) had a role in how that event happened, then maybe Signora had a strong reason to also blame the whole circle for her lover's demise.

Having Signora/Rosalyne being banished from Hexenzirkel for her deeds in bringing destruction would be weird considering that Rhinesdottir is basically the one that's responsible for Cataclysm (after Khaenriah was destroyed she unleashed Rifthounds and Durin to Teyvat in retaliation, as mentioned in the lore of Chunk of Aerodiserite) and dared to think Albedo was her only child when she had so many others that she fed to each other. Alice also have levelled areas in Mondstadt just because it's not to her liking, and she probably knows what Hilichurls are yet she wants to turn them into energy slave, and plan to use the older/weaker hilichurls as food for the stronger ones (Mondstadt's Teyvat Travel Guide). Honestly I dare say that Rosalyne probably is the one that doesn't want to be lumped in with these very questionable witches instead. 😂
And not all witches seem to be part of Hexenzirkel, like Lisa is basically known as Witch of Purple Roses and yet she's not interested in Hexenzirkel at all. The Blue-Eyed Witch seems like an interesting contender though, and personally, I think they don't introduce the remaining members because we're about to see them soon, so probably they just want to keep it a secret from us a bit longer.
Speaking of M's book and the fact that Hexenzirkel is known to do Irminsul exploration, I wonder if her fairytales are allegories/backup of deleted histories like Nahida's story about kitty Scaramouche. After all, the Boar Princess is a story about a Boar Princess' relationship with a pup wolf, and in Andrius' profile, they say that he received his power from an older god. I wonder if it's possible that the two are related....

Kind of unrelated, but speaking of books, what is you guys interpretation about Flowers for Princess Fischl? Is it just a book or is there a hidden message in it? We already know the author (Mr. Nine) and that Fischl is role-playing based on the book, but the existence of Oz always weirds me out. As far as I know, Fischl is the only vision holder who can literally summon a smart and sentient being from nowhere.

I think you're on to something. Contrary to the notion of "coincidence", stories are not written or framed with coincidence in mind. See "Chekov's Gun"; a rule of writing which states that if something is shown or spoken of, it must have greater importance going forward. The only thing standing against the theory is that Genshin is written very specifically to be a "unreliable narrator", or in other words, nothing in Genshin can be taken at face value, even and especially if prominent characters give you the explicit story; it's better to suspect that any and every answer is a half-truth at best.

Venti definitely the most sus archon so far. He so carefree and enjoy his normal life, but also know everything that happens in his nation. Zhongli is pretty sharp too, but he let his people to handle it by themselves.

That would feel a bit cheap unless it somehow lead to some link to Gold showing up. Technically it is worth mentioning that it isn't impossible that the Traveller could 'purify' Albedo, something it is easy to forget considering it hasn't really come up again since mondstat.

another interesting detail I've notice, base on what we've learned at the table, is that witches could live up to hundreds of years. the scene of the gathering Alice told us took place centuries ago( this is told by what scarlet said to Alice and the fact that Rhindotter is still raising Albedo). Now of the six we are introduced, only Alice, Nicole, and Barbeloth are confirmed to be alive to the present story.
Alice we know is an Elf so her living all that time make sence but Nicole and Barbeloth so far is human yet they lived for Centuries , and the implication that there is a difference between humans and witches.
Some additional evidence that may point towards Skirk being part of Hexenzirkel: In the Labyrinth Warriors event, Childe mentions that he "fought in the fissures that lie between great tree roots" while he was in the Abyss (with Skirk). One of Hexenzirkel's main projects is Irminsul exploration. So Skirk has definitely explored the Irminsul before, and may have done it with the Hexenzirkel.
I completely missed Cyno's mysterious past conversation. I'm assuming it happened with the characters on the map between the event quests. I really like when Hoyo put the characters somewhere during events, but putting them between quests may be missed by people who didn't think about searching for them beforehand, like me.

If the traveler wasn't around when incidents happened, they'd probably wouldn't really know what happened and would be really cofused. That to say, if Alice does know that 'the prophetess' talked to the traveler, then yes. She probably knows. Not to mention she has connections all over teyvat. That's how she gets informations and stuffs I guess.

@Keito That's probably has to do more with her role as a 'prophetess'. Each witch has different fields of expertise afterall. Mona's master might not be aware of it despite being a witch of Hexenzirkle, for example.
Regarding the "Paimon hates love" section, "Paimon commenting on the Cat's Tail cats getting lovey dovey actually came off as a lot different in Chinese, due to a significant localization difference.
In Chinese, Katheryne says that even the cats at the Cat's Tail have been "clingy all day" with each other recently. "Lovey-dovey" is an okay translation for that, but it imples romance/sexual activity that isn't implied in the Chinese. Paimon's "gross" in English is a reasonable response to the mistranslation.
In Chinese, Paimon actually only says "darn it!" because of no comissions being available due to couples being too busy spending time on romance, and was just disappointed that they rushed over tot he Adventurer's Guild only to find there was nothing to do.
Because the English translation of "lovey-dovey" is too strong of a word, the emphasis of what Katheryne says comepletely changed, and Paimon is reacting something completely different, and then it also carried over to the following idalogue of feeling disappointed.

As for la Signora, I kind of thought that she's the one who left, perhaps because the other members of the Hexenzirkel didn't help her get revenge the way she wanted, but the opposite could be true.

I read the manga so this wasn't a surprise but still pretty jarring when put side by side like this. Pretty interesting to see how the game never mentions Collei killing anyone and during this event, she always dances around the topic like "Oh hehe, I was just little awkward back then ;P" but the manga tells an entirely different story.

Also, the group wanting to fight Venti at his prime has to be incredibly strong and ballsy to do. Teyvat would seriously be devastated if they were to fight seriously. This event was amazing. I’m starting to think that Genshin will receive the “Merlin treatment”. It’s a show about Arthurian legends which started as a comedy, but offered a very depressing ending. The purple breath that came out of Collei hints at an unfinished story that could potentially take a dark turn.
One of the things i fear for Genshin impact's lore is the addition of way too many characters, we have a lot of characters whos lore is not much discovered yet. The game is 2 years old now and it only has explained the lore of few characters.

I’m pretty sure the power thing for Cyno’s case, is because he’s the descendant of Kasala, who was a historical figure in Sumerian who was one of the faithful priest of King Deshret. Which explains the Preist’s power that Cyno possesses. Though were other priests as well, so it doesn’t guarantee that Cyno is Kasala’s descendants but it’s likely.

Actually, It's more likely it's his grandmother, great grandmother given the time of this tea party in the cutscene. They have been many successes of J since that tea party took place. Meaning that their family was descended from that witch to have so many heirlooms in the house (the carpet in the house and diluc's clothes have the same filigree pattern on them). Or Diluc's mother is also immortal but that would be noted as she would have been in the family for hundreds of years.

@@999noheart well, since we know that dottore spent quite some time in both inazuma and Sumeru, it's quite possible that he found the remains of both/either orobashi and Apep, and of course being dottore decided to experiment with what he found i.e. injecting it into kids like collei. I'm leaning more towards apep tho, as the residue is shown manifesting as a cobra with fire, rather than a python with lightning

Besides, I believe it's more like he's choosing peace bcoz he prefers it, not bcoz he can't handle violence. He is an original archon from archon war along with Zhongli so I doubt we can underestimate him

Skirk does remind me of the witches (especially Gold) in that she delves in forbidden/sus stuff, but doesn't seem to mean harm by it?? She helped Childe learn foul legacy in abyss (which the witches also investigate??) to help him survive, and she also survived there (which only ppl like Scara can do). However foul legacy is a double edged sword, so i wonder why she didn't just yeet him out of abyss cz he's just a kid, but instead teach it him?? But idk why Alice wouldn't mention a name we already know?? I'd say she's maybe even Khaenriahn, but we already have Gold.
Sidetrack here, I do wonder about the theory of masks though, since Fatui & hillichurls wear them to not see themselves/help control in a sense. B4 Childe got delusion & vision, did FL always have the mask element to it?? Will Skirk to help her control her abyssal ish powers??

J's husband's illness made many people think of Baizhu. And theorize maybe J and her husband are part of his family tree, though we know J died centuries ago so it would put in kinda far away. Still, maybe Baizhu's illness were inherited from his family.
Istaroth is one of the missing members. Theres many things that point at this, but Venti's relation with Hexenzirkel may indicate someone close to him beside Alice was a member. Aswell as the question ''why did the Hexenzirkel even want to challenge Barbatos in the first place?'' Also, the in game clock appears in the cutscene, and the traveler thinks ''Could Mona have sensed a great power?'' and the shot is the traveler with the Thousand Winds Temple right behind them. It's very deliberately showing that temple. (Though later is confirmed the power was from Barbeloth, I'm talking about the symbolism of hoyoverse putting that phrase with the Thousand Winds Temple, not the power itself). Apart from this though, the MOST IMPORTANT REASON:
Hexenzirkel works with the ley lines. Which entire purpose are to keep information, knowledge and elemental energy flowing and saved. Then it goes to the Irminsul, where the world's past memories are all saved. My take is that Istaroth and the Hexenzirkel real purpose is so restaure certain events from the timeline that were deleted, or maybe they're supervising what gets deleted or modified, in order to SOMEDAY go against Celestia, which according to Istaroth's lore it isn't far off, as she's more or less inactive right now, and it could mean that she's entrusted this task to Hexenzirkel itself.
Maybe the other one witch is a creature like paimon. Since paimon doesn't need a chair. Like in lantern rite event, she's got the plate but no chair🙈

There were no mentions of Diluc's mother in Alice's revelation of the circle. And if Diluc's mother was a part of the circle, then he should have had been "attributed" in the prophecy, but he was not there. The teapot was only a gift from Alice with the letter she sent before about Diluc.

Since Signora’s lover died in the cataclysm by monsters, I think the main reason Signora couldve been kicked out of Hexenzirkel was because she wanted revenge on Rhinedottr, since Rhinedottr created the wolfhounds. Makes sense since the Hexenzirkel was created to prevent the members from going against each other.

Signora wasnt on good terms with the Zirkel, she was never a member, she hated being called a witch. The missing chair is from J. She left after she married and then died, later than her husband, and the others didnt know she had a successor, thats why they took her chair away and never put it back, since they didnt know of Scarlett.

I doubt Signoria was expelled. As the witches sought to fight Barbosa, I wouldn't be surprised if they intended to fight on her side... but as they didn't go threw with it, maybe Signora saw it as a betrayal.
That said, Alice talks of members having left before & the place not being used for quite a while, so its possible one left of their own accord and the seat wasn't filled. (Especially as Alice wouldn't accept any replacements for the one until Scarelet caught her interest.)
I think Rosaline rather than being part of the circle was one of J's succesors much like scarlet but she was not accepted by the circle
I saw a comment on R/GenshinLore that proposed the idea that Signora was in the Hexenzirkel, and they challenged Barbatos because of her urging (it's implied Signora dislikes Barbatos because she feels he didn't do enough to protect Mondstadt and her lover). Then when the mages made peace with him and even got inspired to have their tea parties from him, Signora felt betrayed by the members and left before ever attending the tea party (seven chairs) which would even further explain why she hates the witch title.
