Don't forget, the game doesn't progress further without obtaining this book. It is not an optional book like most, it is given to the player in the main story itself hinting to its extreme importance for the story.
If Lisa put traces of elemental magic to the book, and gave the book for the traveler to keep, then she basically planted the traveler with a tracker. Smooth Lisa✨
The story is getting harder and harder for me to remember, we have the seven archons, the forgotten god of time, the goddess of dust who died during archon war, decabrian, goddess of salt who was murdered, obarashi who protected watsumi people, wolf spirit boreas, dvalin one of the four winds, long dead durin the venomous dragon, sealed off azhdaha, defeated osial, the adeptis and many more which I left out, each we with a lot of lore on their own. I feel dizzy thinking about how deep the story is. And also cat with blue hat needs more subs
Don’t worry half of that information will never be developed nor have any impact on the story. Genshin definetly has a fluff issue where they overload you with stuff that won’t ever be mentioned in the archon quest. (Example: Signora’s entire character lore lmao)
Right? I've even forgotten parts of the main story. I went to watch some videos of the earlier quests to refresh my memory and realized I forgot the entire arc about finding Dvalin's Tears and the Holy Lyre. Makes me wonder how much I will remember later down the road and how often I'll need to refresh myself
Exactly why we need channels like these Some if not most of the informations you mentioned might not be relevant to the main story but helped with world building however channels like these sure help refresh our memories or foreigners (like me) who's having a hard time understanding ìt
It gets even more complicated once you factor in the gnostic story part of it all. Because i recently found a fairly great explanation that put into perspective and who and what the twins are and plus what celestia might truly be. Which also explains the reason why the archons are gods in their power and why visions users get their vision and why they can realise their power. Very fascinating for it also gives us a fairly good insight that the gnostic story we see in BP is actually the travelers.
@CæpricOrn . same happened to really every inazuma character. The archon quest ended without delving into most of Ei’s lore, especially. Her own damn character quest kinda forgot to touch on all the things shown in her trailer.
This just shows us that she isn't called be best student of sumeru academy in the last 2 centuries for nothing she knows things and that makes me think that she is hiding it on purpose so that we travel through teyvat
The way she got her vision tho. I have always understood it as she wanted one to progress her research, so she obtained one. Like she took it, instead of the popular belief that gods giving them to humans.
@@durein8992 to me it was a bad omen. The moment she was being too practical about things; she deducted she simply needed it to do her research. And it dropped on her lap. As if some kind of eerie being was watching over her and wanted to read her research results. Or maybe she was really onto something, and the Vision given was meant to keep tabs on her.
@@aureliaavalon yeah that's probably it because she wanted to progress on her research and giving her the vision is a way to say that she is stepping on dangerous grounds and that from this point on they will be keeping an eye on her
Adding to the fact that there are multiple hints that Lisa may die soon, this might actually be true. Celestia may have put a curse on her to prevent her from revealing the truth of everything - Khaen'riah, the Archons, Abyss, Celestia etc... Maybe, Celestia is just slowly decreasing her lifespan as a warning, but when Lisa reveals the truth may be the day she dies.
lisa got cursed by a book and she will likely die quicker, since her constellation tempus fugit means "time flies" she must've been suffering and scared on when will she die since time runs fast in her perspective
Also in Lisa's vision story it says: With the aid of her Vision, Lisa acquired the knowledge that she sought. But she also sensed the deep secret hidden in the shadows of that knowledge. For whatever reason, the gods gave humans the key to changing everything, but they did not explain the cost involved. Lisa grew fearful of the truth. The Vision that hung from her neck became to her a bottomless pit filled with sweet delights, lingering at the back of her mind. So, from time to time, when somebody whom she finds interesting comes along, Lisa will pass onto them her understanding on all kinds of matters. Perhaps she is secretly hoping that by doing so, one day someone will come along who has the ability to understand the ultimate truth behind Visions.
It's probably that visions aren't actually a good thing, according to Venti they are "primitive tools", meaning that they are meaningless to gods and that even people who have visions are not a threat at all to celestia and the archons. However people who get visions have their ambitions tied to their visions, cannot destroy their visions, have their ambitions trapped after death, and can easily have their vision stolen or disabled by an archon (also raiden shogun and Ei dont even have a gnosis and raiden easily rips thoma's vision away and Ei can just disable your visions like its nothing.) there is definitely something sus about visions because a "primitive tool" that humans consider a present shouldn't be a way to control your ambitions.
@xXLil_ShadowyXx actually that's what i thought so im glad im not the only one, i see it as a way of marking a "potential threat" that gives primitive elemental power so people (who dont know any better because most humans lack any elemental power), see it as a gift instead of something that is questionable at best.
@Alexander Nikolov the small problem with that theory is that an innocent chef from Liyue surely poses absolutely no threat at all? There are few characters with visions I can think of that pose any kind of divine threat, many not knowing anything about celestia. And visions seem to appear when they’re needed most, or at moments where a vision can help achieve their ambition, which sadly doesn’t align with that interesting theory.
@@KamisatoElias yeah, but then again, ambitions are what have the power to change things, we can see that in the Inazuma questline, i doubt that any of the visions taken by raiden shogun would actually harm inazuma, but it was still seen as something dangerous that needed to be limited. And as you know, the quest ends with the ambitions permanently changing the shogun and her ideals away from those of celestia's.
It just occurred to me that you could correlate the archon's ideals with how they were taken in some way. Venti, the god of freedom got his gnosis taken forcefully Zhong li, the god of contracts made his final contract in exchange for his gnosis Ei's gnosis, that was sealed for eternity was exchanged for the traveller's life. I could say that the dendro archon's gnosis gets taken by either outsmarting or being taken in the dumbest way possible EDIT: man they literally spoiled us how Nahida will lose her gnosis from the very start
@@dragonfell5078 dendro archon: HAH! I MADE SURE MY GNOSIS IS FULLY PROTECTED BY EVERY MYSTICAL CHARM TEYVAT HAD NEVER SEEN! i miss hearing Paimon's voice in the early versions. less irritating and annoying 😭 I believe Mondstadt will have a huge role in the story later on. The place where it all begins will also be the place where it all ends.
I am almost 70% sure we will be back to Mond to go to Celestia. You know the big Barbatos statue in the city? Down on the statue it literally says "Gateway to Celestia" all around it.
I believe that this "white prince" might as well be the first Harbinger, since we know it's a male. Maybe she met him after the desolation and he helped her get back on her feet, devise a plan for the future and so on. Since he is the first Harbinger, he is either very close to the tsaritsa or he is insanely strong or both. So we can expect it. But uh..... Mihoyo really needs to include Lisa more. She is just as sus as yae miko..... Hope we see her in like the sumeru arc or something like that
@@lilyhuang2076 Not only studied, she is the best student they had seen in 200 years So imo, Lisa is much more interesting than Yae Miko, since we haven't explored her too much, she's as interesting as Alice, Varka and the first harbinger to me
He has to be Tsaritsa's lover, maybe he was from Khaenri'ah and that's one of the reason of their demise, Celestia didn't like the idea of a god falling in love with a guy from a "heretic" nation
yeah he definitely could've but just a Zhongli's restricted by celestia, no doubt venti is too so maybe that why he didn't do anything maybe it was the most peaceful outcome? we never know
Ok here is my take on why venti did that. Tsaritsa and all the other archons are plotting against celestia's wicked ruling over teyvat. Zhongli understands this and just gives the gnosis to Tsaritsa. Venti too yes probably but the encounter was something more personal since Signora was the one who would take it. Keep in mind Signora was once a citizen of Mondstadt and she had a lover there named Rostam. Rostam got killed because of the war which venti was supposed to help but didn't because he said "it's their freedom" (iirc he helped but much later on with dvalin). Signora was devestated by the death of Rostam so she became the Crimson Witch to help Mondstadt with the war. But people feared her because of her appearance, like the one in weekly boss. So she was now heartbroken and seen as a monster even tho she was a good person. Tsaritsa the cryo archon pitied her and offered help. Giving her a cryo delusion (thats why she has both cryo and pyro). When she came to claim Venti's gnosis she put her anger on that encounter, calling venti a rat and kicked him unnecessarily.
@@walnutsimp just a few things i want to correct, venti didn't purposely not help because "it's their freedom," he was asleep. as we know he puts himself into sleep periodically until mond needs him (we don't know why he does that yet but someone said maybe to slow erosion similar to ei locking herself in a meditative state and i found that interesting). when venti heard his people's cries and woke up he joined the fight against durin with dvalin immediately. though idk if he could have saved him even if he woke up earlier, because durin was so hard to fight against that when he was defeated both venti and dvalin were poisoned and went to sleep after. signora also does not remember her past life after turning into the crimson witch, i think signora just wanted to do that to venti seeing as how she looked down on him for how normal/regular citizen-like he acted unlike zhongli and ei who at least seem to hold a higher status--and what would be the consequence if she treated venti, now the weakest archon, badly, versus zhongli and ei who are still powerful even without their gnosis? the people of mondstadt do not know that venti is barbatos. + if you look at all the artifact lore and everything we have so far in canon, signora never blamed venti for rotsam. as for whether it's meant to be something that's unsaid, it's still just a popular theory people have taken as canon... but that's all it is, just speculations that were never proved in canon. maybe we'll learn more in the future.
@@bignonoIamAgirl I'd say it's highly unlikely Venti is weak. Sure Zhongli and Ei hold themselves higher status but that doesn't mean Venti doesnt have godlike power just cuz he doesn't wanna sit on his throne. Sure he might be admittedly weaker than other archons but he's still a god. + him seeming so weak is sus af I say he's hiding his powers.
So now I see why Lisa got her own story quest, and adds her importance to the main plot along with Kaeya. Makes me wonder what importance Amber will have given she too also got a story quest at the start.
I haven’t really read much about her lore, but i know a little bit about how her grandfather used to be a knight . So amber’s family has* ties with the knight’s of favonius even before she was born, maybe there’s some secrets here and there that she doesn’t know about, that would be very interesting.
Also, she’s an outrider. Amber spends most of her time around Mondstadt doing missions, it’s only a matter of time before she sets foot into something she isn’t supposed to see.
in the manga, she befriends collei, who's been cursed by archon residue and she (amber) is heavily involved with the process of helping her (collei), so i definitely think she's important bc of that encounter
This kind of aligns with the fact that the archons seem to dislike or fear Celestia across the board. I think the most telling example is in the teaser, where the archon of Fontaine is trying her best to not make enemies out of them; her people have advanced the most. She probably knows they're next on the chopping block.
Right from the start, I have always believed that Lisa knows everything about Teyvat, the archons, celestia and visions. I really feel she will be important, or will have recurring appearances in later regions when we start to discover the truth for ourselves, hopefully in Sumeru, which would also relate to her being a grand mage and scholar from there as well. Mondstadt characters have intriguing backstories related to main archon quests, and likely will return to Mondstadt at the end of the story.
You all should read Lisa's lore entries. She actually does know the truth about quite a lot. Her "Vision" entry states that she gives a very particular warning to people she feels needs to know it and that she understands what Visions actually are as well as the price for receiving power from the gods. She keeps it all to herself though, because the knowledge is a burden somehow.
Aha! I knew that this loose end from an early quest would lead to something eventually. Gotta admire Mihoyo for setting up potential late story points so early and so casually (which sadly means that a lot of players probably forgot about it by now or never paid much attention to it to begin with). Funny how when I posted my (admittedly rather speculative and maybe even far fetched) theory about Paimon in a comment on YT there were a few people saying that I'm reading too much into the story, and that Genshin writing isn't very deep. To me it seems that they just don't pay enough attention to the writing. They probably don't read flavortext such as artifact lore or in-game books. Playing Honkai Impact 3 taught me that to really understand what's going on you have to read between the lines. Granted, Genshin is a little more forthcoming when it comes to the story, but still there's a lot that the game doesn't spell out for the player. It's quite refreshing to see writers who trust the intelligence of their target audience and don't overexplain everything.
Sadly morons lile Adel Aka will complain aboit this because most of this "lore" is hidden behind artifacts rather than presented in the relevant quest. There is truth here because people can be genuinely lost if the info they need to understand is hidden behind a trashy artifact or book from an obsure bookstore. (Looking at you Liyue)
@@silverhawkscape2677 the parts that were put into trivial stuff, like flavor texts of the artifacts or the books we could get around, does not directly drive the main story where the MC is the Traveler hence they do not need to be included in Main Quest.

-Khaenriah is referred as the Moonlight Forest -Tsaritsa is predicted to meet the Light Prince -Kaeya is suspected to be Khaenriah Prince, despite the fact that he's a polar opposite of the Moonlight Forest's people
My theory is that Tsaritsa had a lover (the Light Prince). He probably died in the war with Khean'riah like Ei lost her sister. She also isolated herself from the world. I think another reason why Tsaritsa holds so much hatred against Celestia is because she had to kill people. We know that she is actually the Archon of love and has gotten furious when Celestia used her as a war weapon. Even Childe mentioned in a voiceline that she is too gentle and has to harden herself. Why I think that Tsaritsa has a lover: The Archons look very similar to the Herrschers in Honkai e.g. Wendy is the Herrscher of Wind and Raiden Mei the Herrscher of Thunder. Ana Schariac is the Herrscher of Ice. She and Owl had a romantic relationship. She wears a heart chain and gives one half to Owl. Heart = love (I can't remember all of Honkai's story so correct me if I did any mistake)
Makes sense because when I heard about the story of the dendro archon’s death I immediately thought of a romantic relationship with her and the dendro archon
Adding to the story of the night mother and the moonlight forest, Dainsleif says in the travail that Khaenriah(idk where to put the apostrophe lol) is a place where the Gods’ gaze doesn’t fall. So Khaenriah is really the moonlight forest and Celestia and their Gods is the Night Mother
yeah I agree that khaenriah is the moonlit forest because, same as the video and book says, 'everyone in the Kingdom of the moonlit forest is fair skinned etc..' ALSO it states that the Moonlit Forest is a *kingdom* which further tells that its not just a small patch of forest so yep 100% agree that khaenrieah is moonlit forest:)
Unlike Liyue or Inazuma, lots of characters from Mondstadt are going to be relevant later in the story I feel like. The other nations only really have their archons as clearly plot relevant characters, whereas Mondstadt has Lisa, Kaeya, Albedo and even Diluc. And then there’s unreleased characters like Varka and Alice. The characters in other regions are there to flesh out their own nation, but don’t look like they’ll have much to do with the main plot with the Fatui, the Abyss and Celestia. Sumeru might be different though.
thats because the game lore is amazing but buried beneath the bad practice of gacha and luck based artifact grinding that makes them care for gambling than the story itself. If genshin is just a regular game then im sure people will notice the story more.
Yeah. Most people don't read flavortext and in-game books. They are missing out on a lot of cool details and foreshadowing. Like the fact that the Thundering Fury artifact set basically revealed Ruu's story right at the start of the game. Or the story of Havria's demise revealed in a book long before the relevant Zhongli's quest was added to the game. Not sure how to feel about that last one - it was pretty much a spoiler.
@@Sheevlord yea that's why i keep subscribing this kind of channel who regulary post about genshin' lore and theory like CWBH,Island XD and some small youtuber who make one
Only after watching this video did I realize that Lisa knocks the mage unconscious *precisely* when he was about to describe WHAT was the secret of the gods. At first I thought it was just pure sadism or a cheap cliffhanger. But in light of all later instances of "whomever learns too much about Celestia gets a massive spike thrown on their head", Lisa was actually trying to protect the Traveler and Paimon. And, of course, indulge in electro-sadism - we know she's an efficient person. :P Yes, the Traveler probably knows or suspects about that, what with all the books we collected, our journey to Enkanomiya and the like, but Lisa had no way to be sure that the Traveler would be safe with this knowledge. Even the Enkanomiya spirits make dead clear that the Traveler must keep absolutely silent about what he saw there - probably to avoid him/her being hit by a spike so massive it can't even be i-framed!
As the other volumes say that one of the archon perhaps tried to save k’… (I have no idea how to spell it), maybe it was the dendro archon as they died and possibly because of celestia punishing them
I doubt it since the Pale Flame set talks about the Harbingers and they're all tied to the Tsaritsa. Speaking of which was the God of Love so possibly she tried to save Khaenri'ah then got punished and is now seeking revenge
I believe that Venti's gnosis was taken away so harshly because 500 years ago the Signora, who was from Monstad, lost a loved one. She fell into despair and hatred, becoming a Burning scarlet witch. As far as we know, she became disillusioned with the gods, including Barbatos, blaming him for not protecting his people back then. In addition, Barbatos in the start of the game was not as strong as in the past. So for Tsaritsa it was okay to let Signora do anything she wants. Sorry if I made some mistakes, English isn't my first language :")
You would think that the person who got the title of smartest sumeru student in the last 2 centuries would attract the God of sumeru's attention. The dendro archon. The most elusive one (even his element is kind of a mistery). I'm pretty sure Lisa is on some kind of secret agreement/mission with/for the dendro archon.
I feel like by the end of the day, when all 7 archons has been revealed, the stage is all set, it will all come full circle, and the old characters we've met the first time such as Lisa, Kaeya, & Diluc will definitely play a big role once more. I remembered reading that Lisa was one of the most talented scholar in Sumeru, so no doubt she's strong, and definitely keeps a lot of important information for herself. Kaeya definitely still have strong connections with the Abyss, while Diluc is always hot on their trails (no pun intended).
I personally think that the unknown god is kiana, she just travelled world to world and grew up, changed her outfit and got chosen as the sustainer of heavenly principles
Unknown God is indeed Kiana, but not the Kiana that we know from HI3 or GGZ. Another Kiana that exists in and unique to Genshin world that have no connection with Honkai Impact world besides appearances, just like Raiden Ei and Yae Miko
At this point, I fear the game development, pace and focus will make most of the stuff in the lore to be either forgotten by the development team, or deemed not relevant anymore. This might not be one of them, but plenty others might be.
I tried main dpsing her since her scaling is pretty high, I don't think she'll be getting buffed anytime soon but that's ok everyone does not need to be a main dps esp when they're already an awesome possum sub dps, tho if she does get one she'll become even scarier XD
I came here straight from CatCat's video about the Harbinger reveal, and now it seems pretty clear that the Light Prince is, indeed, Pierro/Jester/Pedrillo/Pedrellino/The 1st Fatuus/Guy who looks a lot like Dainsleaf.
Theory: The tsaritsa isnt bad. They want the gnosis so because we all know that the gnosis are what the 7 archons use for power NOT visions.. what if the tsaritsa and the harbringers are actually good but the reason they are portrayed as enemies in the game is because the harbringers think that we are a threat therefor attacking us if we trigger them.. the reason the tsaritsa could possibly want the 7 gnosis is because in order to save teyvat they need the 7 gnosis..... other theory: celestia is a bad place and thread: the tsaritsa wants the 7 gnosis to stop celestia from destroying some places in teyvat.. why would the tsaritsa cut ties with barbatos? it may be because barbatos saw the white prince as a threat and tried attacking him but luckily the tsaritsa came in time and preventing the white prince d3@th... therefor cutting ties with the archon that almost k!lled the one she cares abt.. do u agree disagree or have any theory/proofs to support my theory? edit: I didn't realize I had mistakes- sorry abt that
Also Zhongli has been predicting things for the people of Liyue. So I think he has other reason to give the gnosis away, the scheme was just to make sure the people in Liyue is ready to stand without their god.
@@distant2171 he is just preparing to go against celestia or tryna go on a war against something more powerful(cuz we still don't know the whole story whether celestia is truly the one we are going against) and Is trying to make sure that liyue will be fine even without a god🙂🙂
The Tsaritsa is the necessary evil and that's why we love her and her army of "fools". You know how people say love makes you a fool? Well, I think the Fatui name was chosen with a tongue-in-cheek humor and very purposefully in relation to her plans and what she intends for the world.
5:27 It also removes the Dendro Archon (of that time, that is, of the time when Khaenri'ah still existed) who was male at that time. Could be that the current Dendro Archon was protecting/wanted to protect Khaenri'ah. And since we know that the successor of an Archon is some other God descended from Celestia, as in Electro, we can assume that the Dendro Archon of that time was killed by the Princess, but afterwards, the Princess was defeated *and not killed because of her power which could even defeat one of the Seven* After Khaenri'ah was destroyed, the Princess emerged as the Dendro Archon, which we might see in the future.
Visions is the "Eyes of God" for the people with strong intensions so they could watch over them. Gnosis is the the Heart of an archon, "follow your heart" and desires they said, that's how they control the archons.
The theory that Lisa might be living on borrowed time isn't far fetched now. The trope that any female character having that hairstyle is a red flag and something bad will happen to her later. Why? She stopped the Abyss Mage from speaking something unnecessary was given so the red flag had been avoided which meant Lisa's secret might not be because of the time she spent in Sumeru and the obtaining the curse of having a short lifespan by reading some forbidden book but from what she had learned there and for what Lisa really was before leaving and settling down in Mondstadt. This can be also connected to Sumeru and academia being considered as the center of knowledge in Teyvat to the point that the scholars consider information as a vital and precious resource. Any vital, useful, and life-changing information is a commodity that could be bought for the right price. Now consider Lisa, who was considered by a high ranking professor as the best student that the Academia has produced yet from the past two centuries, having that person with lots of learned information and be able to apply it successfully on any trade, profession, research that could upset the power balance, that's a very precious person ( or resource,if you're cruel like a certain hydro element wielding harbinger)to anyone and cannot be priced with any form of currency or favor and in some cases couldn't be let off easily. Should the worst case happen ( she escapes, shared her knowledge to a third party or defected to some questionnable factions) killing her will prevent any of that: spilling any information that could upset someone with influence or in any case, some higher power just lurking the shadows.
I find it really impressive that mihoyo is so aware of what they’re doing to the point where a bunch of books link up the story and are released at specific times
I think the "secret identity" the Abyss Mage refers to is probably her being the Witch of Purple Rose? she's classified herself a witch but she declined Alice's invitation to her coven, we all know just how powerful Lisa's control over the electro element and how intelligent she is with its uses so the possibility that she will be playing a big part on the future update specifically in Sumeru may not be the highest but it's definitely not 0.
fascinating theory!!! maybe the light prince is traveler, since he was alive 500 years ago, though in deep sleep...maybe prior to sleep he met her? though I think the theory of archons trying to save kaenri'ah and Celestia being evil still stands to me. would explain all archons so far severing ties with Celestia.
Genshin lore is like kamen rider Gaim. It's light hearted on the outside, but get's darker the deeper you went. Hope Lisa's lore is expand when we reach sumeru considering she's the best student they had
Well yeah, i read that too. My first thought that traveler's sibling is the pale princess, and the other 6 is the Royal Guards of Khaenriah, i thought of this when the sibling reveals Dainsleif identity as one of the Royal Guard, so i assummed maybe there are 6 Royal Guards, but who knows, it wasn't stated on the story. Anyway, before the story quest released, i only thought that this book has something to do with the Abyss, since they stole it and said there's a "secret" in it. So i read it and yeah, i have the same theory as yours like dainsleif match with the description, the fake sky referrence, etc, except for the "pale princess", i don't have any idea that time.
This is all super interesting, but the one issue I have with the Tsarista being the Pale Princess is the fact that she survived the Cataclysm. Why would the Unknown Goddess and Celestia let her go back to Schneznya if she had sided against them? I think the Pale Princess was actually Makoto or the previous Dendro Archon, who both died during the Cataclysm in unknown circumstances. It was only in the aftermath that the Tsarista decided to rebel against Celestia herself. Of course, I don't have much in the way of evidence for either of the candidates I put forward. A couple points for Makoto could be the presence of a destroyed civilization in the Inazuma Archipelago, as well as her being the light to Ei's shadow. As for the Dendro Archon, the fact that Dendro Visions seem so rare could be connected to the previous Dendro Archon being executed by Celestia.
When I just started playing way back 1.1 I already have suspicions about that book and Lisa. Although I thought way back then that the land of darkness was the abyss... Looking at it now.... damn 🤯
You're not wrong because the Abyss is the Khaenri'ah of past. And the place where the ruins of Khaenri'ah lies is also where the Abyss Order HQ would be situated and that is the place that we as Traveler are going to infiltrate once we're done traveling the 7 nations.
Funny how Lisa's vision is electro which is linked to the ideal of Eternity, then again, her constellation is "Time flies", which is totally different from eternity. Her time is short.
I have my theories, first, morax didn't have anything to make tsaritsa goes mad, but venti does, here's my point 1. remember the first field tiller in stormterror, that ruin guard is some sort of mechanism from ancient knowledge and khaenriah also one in posession of that, that very first tiller is looking at above celestia, from unkown reason it died out till we extract the core 2. the ruin guards in dragonspine, there are many of them is coming in, even them making an unknown code, coincidentally durin, another product of an alchemist of khaenri'ah is also there, killed by barbatos and dvalin, dvalin inhale the poison thus making him berserk 3. many of some ruins in mondstadt is related to the god of time, some were eerie enough in explanation, I believe that mondstadt is the gate to celestia, my theories 4. maybe what happened la signora also one of the reason? i dunno about that XD during a war 500 years ago, khaenriah is perish, dendro archon is dead, maybe it somehow related to that, due to that tsaritsa is becoming colder and lost her meaning as the goddess of love just like how ei became so infatuated with eternity as she watch her sis died in war, she also cut things with barbatos, perhaps barbatos is one of the reason behind that, I don't say venti is bad, but maybe because mondstadt indirectly connected to celestia so his nation became the target of many, like our sibling said in the beginning, mondstadt is considered to go to ruined by the abyss order, it's hard to explaining
As far as my knowlege goes the reason Venti's was forcefully taken from him is because of Signora's past, it wasn't official bussiness but rather personal bussiness. As far as our knowlege as a community goes, the Tsaritsa never tells the harbingers how to aquire the Gnoses, she just tells them to aquire them.
i mean for kaeya, we can see that his cryo particle is a form of crystals that combine so it looks like icicle, while other cryo user have the same effect which is snowflakes and lisa, the only char that actually make a whole sky turn dark. all other electro user summon electro by their own will n it was a made up electro, while lisa actually affecting the entire sky n summon lightning. (tbh, if we set aside the dmg n rarity i thing lisa might be scarier than most electro user)
She's actually pretty strong dmg wise too, her skill scaling is pretty high (esp with all 3 stacks) and her cons are so freaking rare, but I understand what you mean and agreed she's scarier than the electro archon herself lol
What makes her scarier is that all she had to do to acquire a vision was to think that she needed one, and just like that, an electro vision appeared for her. I think she regretted it later, because this alleged "gift of the gods" has a cost. And she discovered that and is trying to warn others too about it. "Before demanding too many miracles from the gods, first consider if you are willing to pay the price they ask." In her story, it says that she is secretly hoping for someone special to realize the truth. Which is why she is so curious about the Traveller who has no vision and is interested in recruiting the Traveller, perhaps to keep them close and lead them on to discover the truth behind Celestia and the visions. The fact that the Traveller doesn't need a vision to fight and manipulate elements is the person she exactly needs, because the Traveller is free from the so-called "cost" of harnessing the power of the elements.
I believe that the Fatui are good and that the Cryo Archon is trying to put a stop to the harsh acts of the Unknown(Celestia) hence why she is collecting all the gnosis from the Archons and as the traveller, we are met with so many people who would possibly manipulate us into stoping the good, which in this case the Fatui and spreading the bad which in this case Celestia and the Unknown god 🧐
Fatui are definitely not good. They ruined hundreds of lives, tried to destroy Liyue by summoning a fucking god, they tried to take peoples ambitions by manipulating Raiden Shogun. They're not %100 bad tho they're just %70 bad
I thought it was said in the genshin preview video that the Tsaritsa had an evil plan and not even the people of snezhnaya liked her. They purposely used the word rebel against Celestia. Still an interesting possiblity nonetheless. All we can do is theorize
maybe the cryo archon's true aim is for the greater good, but the fatui, especially the harbingers, are mostly evil. You already know Signora, childe and scaramouche and what they did in the archon quests, but Dottore is the most evil of them. He's a mad scientist who doesn't hesitate to experiment on children for fun. So even if their final goal is good, it still doesn't justify the actions of the fatui
I agree that Celestia and the Unknown God are basically the real antagonist of the story, but not the villians. At least not without more proof. The only person that can be considered a least "good" is Tartaglia, he have some shred of honor despite his unhiged need for bloodlust and battle. Most of the Harbinger such as Scaramouche, La Signora, Ill Dottore and Pantalone are basically the worst type of people. They have their own reasons and circumstances for their personalities, but that doesn't condone their actions.
It would be cool to have 5* versions of the 4 free characters in the future, Diluc having Vision, Kaeya's connection with khaenri'ah, Lisa's knowledge and Secrets, and Amber's.. yeah it would be amazing to have these characters be stronger in the game, wouldn't mind rolling for their 5* versions
yeea like an upgrade ? I dunno how they could make that without compromising their 4 stars version. Maybe like MC changing element at the statue of the seven they definitely need something, I would love to bring them more in my teams Amber is just so wholesome
A friend of mine told me that the Hilichurls are humans from Khaen'riah who lost control or smth like that And in the very start of the game Lisa says: "Don't u know what visions are? What are u? Some kind of smart hilichurl?" maybe she rly knows it too
All things aside, have you ever questions the first thing you saw which is very interesting. I'm talking about the pillars we saw in the opening scene. If Tyvat is a world then where is it? Is it just a single land or a wold which has round planets? If it is world with planets then does that means there are more celestial palace like in Tyvat? If it's just a single land, then does it have a end, like a place where it is kept or just floating in a space? If it's floating then were is this place and were are the other worlds that the siblings have traveled? Are they in that same space floating like Tyvat or in a completely different place? These are the question which come to my mind every time I see the opening screen. And I think all those pillars, not the sky nails, are the different worlds. Can you make a video regarding this thing? If you don't have material for this it's fine. Maybe in future you can do it. But that's something very interesting and I have never seen anyone talking about it.
I feel like since the Cryo Archon was "The God Of Love" but stopped that role may point to an idea of the "Light Prince" being her love interest(?), but could have been killed/taken by Celestia, which may be why she wants is no longer the God Of Love and wants to go against Celestia. It may be that she asked the other Archons to help but they refused, so she decided to take the Gnosis' to have a fighting chance against Celestia. It could make sense that she wanted to help Khaenri'ha, since they didn't have a god, which means they were already going against the "Heavenly Principles". I also feel that when we get to Snezhnaya the Tsaritsa could try get the Traveler to help her, seeing as the Traveler did actually go against a god from Celestia(?), and the Traveler's powers (which are suspected to be very strong, seeing as they are from another world) could help her achieve her goal. Idk this is just a lot of my speculations and theories strung together, I feel like it would make sense, but again its just a theory so may not be true
Collecting books around Teyvat is not just for misc, but also have a deep meaning from it. I can spend a whole day just reading collection book and its quite fun!
I think Lisa touched the book that OROBASHI read. A book about the truth of Celestia. Thankfully Lisa just touched it and not read it or else she is gonna die. Unfortuantely, her life cut short after toucing it. Maybe a curse from Celestia and maybe thats why she stopped studying in Academia but instead became a librarian.
While I can see what leads to the Tsaritsa being the archon referenced, gender wouldn't eliminate anyone. All of the archons can change forms at will so no real proof can be determined by the form we personally encounter.
We know Ei's sister died protecting khaneriah, but the cryo archon is planning a rebellion against the divine. The story is so interesting I just wish it wouldn't take years
After playing the 3.3 Archon Quest when Nahida write a children story about Scaramouche as a "backup" without directly referencing him so irminsul doesnt erase it because its so abstract its technically not related to Scaramouch, this book might also be a "backup" of some sort
Yeah I was thinking that too. No way the Abyss just steals a random fairy tale for no reason. Also, I noticed in this book that it said that the people of the Moonlight Forest had fair skin and bright blue eyes. I was thinking maybe it was an allegory for Khaenriah since Dain and Pierro both have fair skin and bright blue eyes.
There has been sus activities done by some Characters: Beidou 1. supplying classified things to Ningguang (she also mentioned to tell the MC after they reunite and reached the end of their journey, the same condition as Lumine's secret, and she also kinda knew the other MC is kinda huge deal). 2. Constantly transferring huge amounts of Mora to Ningguang (it's mentioned to be a fine dor Beidou, but knowing her she could've avoided it, but she never did). 3. Where was she during Vortex Snek battle. 4. She wasnt surprised knowing the Geo & Electro archon gnosis being taken, while entite Liyue believed geo archon to be dead. Zhongli He knew the MC been jumping from world to world prior arriving in Teyvat without MC telling him anything, the Raiden shogun n Venti knows nothing of the MC. Paimon. Albedo dont know Paimon. Kaeya dont know Paimon. Klee dont know Paimon. Why's she a Teyvat guide as if the MC's arrival is perfectly planned. Mona 1. She claimed to be into astrology, yet everyone including Scaramouche whom a fkin ancient individual dont know the method she used to read into people. 2. Her master, affiliated with Alice (Klee's mom), Alice affiliated with Reindotir (Albedo's master).
🌸😹It could be uttered of Lisa, that all there is to be known has been learned, at that she is but the living book of wisdom by which all are made greater!😹🌸
7:41 most likely due to Traveler and Paimon are in the circle, if the conversation were privately between Lisa and Cryo Mage for sure there is nothing to hold back because both already know the truth, that electrocute part was to silence that Mage from speaking too much, it is too early for Traveler and Paimon understand the complicated situation unless they already ventured to all 7 Nations in Teyvat.
By the way, kaeya is the most sus chara (in my opinion) his style, his personality, his backround, the way he talk, the things he talk, his skill when combat, his talent and constellation name, his name card name, even his voice actor kinda sus. I have been thinking that Kaeya will be appeared in khaenri'ah quest. But, what do you guys think? Is he really that sus?
My shot-in-the-dark guess is that the Light Prince is Pierro, the First Harbinger. The Mocking Mask artifact from the Pale Flame set is about Pierro, and its lore description includes the following: "Since my level of learning could not compare with the sages, I failed to earn the favor of the previous ruler. So too did I fail to stop them from tearing away the veil of sin, ushering in a tide of divine wrath, destruction, and foolishness..." It sounds like he has some connection to Khaenri'ah and may even be _from_ Khaenri'ah. Since he was considered to be below the level of the sages, the ruler didn't listen to him, and as a result, he failed to stop the ruler and the sages from doing whatever caused the gods to destroy Khaenri'ah. If this Moonlight Forest inhabited by "light" people really is meant to represent Khaenri'ah, and if Pierro really is from Khaenri'ah, then Pierro could be the Light Prince.
I'm now suspicious of the mc's "emergency food". I just recently started watching the lore theory-crafting for Genshin Impact. The fact that the MC randomly fished a floating thing out of the water is suspicious. Also, doesn't Paimon have fair skin and super light-colored hair and her eyes kinda look blue to me (though they're really dark and the gneshin impact fandom page says it's dark purple). Furthermore, Paimon is very knowlegable but also quite naive (qualities of a typical closed off princess?), and a princess must be accompanied by a trustworthy knight, no? She has a floating crown also ... This is just me randomly rambling on. I am probably completely wrong and have no idea what I'm talking about. TLDR: I'm suspicious of Paimon and have no good reason to do so.
@@pineapplecastella2584 For real... I think the Abyss Lector "Enjou" knows something we don't. He knows too much about Enkanomiya too. Even the little event with Kichiboushi he calls her Spy-mon while trying to figure out her name.
Maybe the Pale Princess is Ei's sister who tried to save Khaenri'ah but was therefore killed by the other archons during this war which leads Ei to seek eternity to prevent his country from reaching such advanced technology like Khaenri'ah and therefore avoid Celestia from destroying what is dear to her again ...
Nope. Zhongli was the strongest Archon out of the 7. Noticed that her nation did not attacked Liyue directly but rather made a contract with him instead, because she knew that he was difficult to defeat.
@@kakerumasumoto3275 nah bro is tsaritsa revealed? no so how can you say that we still don't know what she is capable of so you are wrong. Zhongli was never said to be strongest he was oldest among the 7. And I don't think Cryo archon nation ever declared a war on other nations so why would she declare a war on liyue
Just need to point something out that the archons are genderless so Zhongli and Venti being ruled out can said to be wrong but mostly the title of princess does seem the most suitable for the Tsaritsa
Personally, I really appreciate videos like that where they explain possible theories and/or truths behind some sort of motive in game and I general. Simply because no matter how chaotic and hilarious Genshin can be, there is always that mystery and the way you explained it was really interesting AND it made sense
I think the “Pale Princess” is the Tsartia ( however you spell their name) AKA the Cryo Archon. The fatui refer to her sometimes as “she” or “her”, so we know she’s a girl.
Another clue that the pale princess is Tsaritsa, Venti mentions that he and Tsaritsa used to be close until the cataclysm 500 years ago. This could be because (likely partially because she was the archon of love) Tsaritsa disagreed with Khaenri'ah's destruction, and was disappointed when the other archons aided in the destruction of Khaenri'ah, therefore losing connections with them.
Lisa as an undercover harbinger confirmed? JK 😆 On a more serious note, I've been wondering for a while now, if Celestia is aware of the Tsaritsa's plans, why don't they just destroy Snezhnaya like they previously did? and if they have no idea what she is planning then how exactly do they monitor and keep tabs on Teyvat?
Perhaps Celestia is aware but is waiting for the right moment to make an example of Snezhnaya. Maybe they really don't know what's going on right at this moment. Or maybe it's all one big plan to destroy all of teyvat at once and start from a blank slate
Also, Lisa was one the most prominent student of the Sumeru Academia in the last 200 years. But, after she obtained a forbidden book and read it, thus revealing who-knows-which secrets, she suddenly retrieved to Mondstadt to be a librarian. Very sus 🤔
Don't forget, the game doesn't progress further without obtaining this book.
It is not an optional book like most, it is given to the player in the main story itself hinting to its extreme importance for the story.
Mindblowing lore digging as always. You never cease to surprise me.
Yeah, that's also important, since that book might as well be an asset in the future story.

Exactly why we need channels like these
Some if not most of the informations you mentioned might not be relevant to the main story but helped with world building however channels like these sure help refresh our memories or foreigners (like me) who's having a hard time understanding ìt
@@aureliaavalon yeah that's probably it because she wanted to progress on her research and giving her the vision is a way to say that she is stepping on dangerous grounds and that from this point on they will be keeping an eye on her
With utmost respect, please kindly use punctuation, your comment is difficult to read.
What hints?
@@paulobibay2244 her constellation and mona’s hydromancy reading about her may be the hints for that
And her life was cut short when she touched a magical book giving her more power *I've read it somewhere, maybe in her story???? Can't remember*
and then resurrected as a puppet for celestia lol
lisa got cursed by a book and she will likely die quicker, since her constellation tempus fugit means "time flies" she must've been suffering and scared on when will she die since time runs fast in her perspective
Also in Lisa's vision story it says:
With the aid of her Vision, Lisa acquired the knowledge that she sought.
@Alexander Nikolov in the genshin manga varkha's ascension to celestia she described that place as a cage so yeah
Venti, the god of freedom got his gnosis taken forcefully
Zhong li, the god of contracts made his final contract in exchange for his gnosis
Ei's gnosis, that was sealed for eternity was exchanged for the traveller's life.

I’m hoping Lisa gets more relevance in the future archon/story quests.
but mihoyo wont get much money.
He has to be Tsaritsa's lover, maybe he was from Khaenri'ah and that's one of the reason of their demise, Celestia didn't like the idea of a god falling in love with a guy from a "heretic" nation
I always felt like Venti could've protected the gnosis if he wanted to. He was all too willing to give it up imo.
yeah he definitely could've but just a Zhongli's restricted by celestia, no doubt venti is too so maybe that why he didn't do anything
maybe it was the most peaceful outcome?
we never know
Right he could've called Dvalin over, tangle her up in a whirlwind tornado that will have the knights and nuns come running to ruin the diplomacy,,
Ok here is my take on why venti did that.
Amber started it, she was useful for almost everything, she taught you to use a wind glider and has saved the traveler from death on many occasions.
Because she's our first friend in the story

Heart = love

Makes sense because when I heard about the story of the dendro archon’s death I immediately thought of a romantic relationship with her and the dendro archon
Why did this suddenly made me think about Zhongli and Tsaritsa being lovers????
Adding to the story of the night mother and the moonlight forest, Dainsleif says in the travail that Khaenriah(idk where to put the apostrophe lol) is a place where the Gods’ gaze doesn’t fall. So Khaenriah is really the moonlight forest and Celestia and their Gods is the Night Mother
yeah I agree that khaenriah is the moonlit forest because, same as the video and book says, 'everyone in the Kingdom of the moonlit forest is fair skinned etc..' ALSO it states that the Moonlit Forest is a *kingdom* which further tells that its not just a small patch of forest
so yep 100% agree that khaenrieah is moonlit forest:)
If we dig into more details like books, there would be more secret and lore but most player are missing out many detail or lazy.
thats because the game lore is amazing but buried beneath the bad practice of gacha and luck based artifact grinding that makes them care for gambling than the story itself.

Yes, the Traveler probably knows or suspects about that, what with all the books we collected, our journey to Enkanomiya and the like, but Lisa had no way to be sure that the Traveler would be safe with this knowledge. Even the Enkanomiya spirits make dead clear that the Traveler must keep absolutely silent about what he saw there - probably to avoid him/her being hit by a spike so massive it can't even be i-framed!
Of course she does. She's the prodigy of Sumeru Academia, after all.
i love when this channel discusses about lore its just interesting
( ͡°ᴥ ͡° )
As the other volumes say that one of the archon perhaps tried to save k’… (I have no idea how to spell it), maybe it was the dendro archon as they died and possibly because of celestia punishing them
one that I know for sure is ei's sis, baal or makoto, since she died in the khaenri'ah war beside the dendro archon, both are dead
I doubt it since the Pale Flame set talks about the Harbingers and they're all tied to the Tsaritsa. Speaking of which was the God of Love so possibly she tried to save Khaenri'ah then got punished and is now seeking revenge
@@leithejudge There is no such thing as 'Khaenri'ah war', Ei's sister (Baal/Makoto) died during the cataclysm.
@@russellacosta8639 actually it is.
the cataclysm was the turning of khaenrians into abyssal monsters and then the gods smited

MHY please feature Lisa on Sumeru story line.. it's just right considering we will have a dealing with Academia in some way.
I feel like Tsaritsa cut off ties with the other archons because they destroyed Khaen'riah, which she helped defend.
I personally think that the unknown god is kiana, she just travelled world to world and grew up, changed her outfit and got chosen as the sustainer of heavenly principles
na they not gunna go by such a basic plot of kiana = unknown god
Unknown God is indeed Kiana, but not the Kiana that we know from HI3 or GGZ. Another Kiana that exists in and unique to Genshin world that have no connection with Honkai Impact world besides appearances, just like Raiden Ei and Yae Miko
At this point, I fear the game development, pace and focus will make most of the stuff in the lore to be either forgotten by the development team, or deemed not relevant anymore. This might not be one of them, but plenty others might be.
I hope my queen gets a buff soon
She just did, with the release of Raiden. Now she can hold TTDS and burst every rotation for buffing the team with defence shred as well.
@@itsmyright2229 i think they meant a buff as a main dps not as a support

perhaps when Yae comes out with her signature weapon?
5:27
It also removes the Dendro Archon (of that time, that is, of the time when Khaenri'ah still existed) who was male at that time.
Could be that the current Dendro Archon was protecting/wanted to protect Khaenri'ah. And since we know that the successor of an Archon is some other God descended from Celestia, as in Electro, we can assume that the Dendro Archon of that time was killed by the Princess, but afterwards, the Princess was defeated *and not killed because of her power which could even defeat one of the Seven*
After Khaenri'ah was destroyed, the Princess emerged as the Dendro Archon, which we might see in the future.
Visions is the "Eyes of God" for the people with strong intensions so they could watch over them. Gnosis is the the Heart of an archon, "follow your heart" and desires they said, that's how they control the archons.
I love how there's a bigger story within these characters than what lies on the surface
1:38 Who can forget, the legendary Abyss Mage meme. 😂
Genshin lore is like kamen rider Gaim. It's light hearted on the outside, but get's darker the deeper you went.
Hope Lisa's lore is expand when we reach sumeru considering she's the best student they had
Yep.
True. This makes more sense.
I have my theories, first, morax didn't have anything to make tsaritsa goes mad, but venti does, here's my point
1. remember the first field tiller in stormterror, that ruin guard is some sort of mechanism from ancient knowledge and khaenriah also one in posession of that, that very first tiller is looking at above celestia, from unkown reason it died out till we extract the core
2. the ruin guards in dragonspine, there are many of them is coming in, even them making an unknown code, coincidentally durin, another product of an alchemist of khaenri'ah is also there, killed by barbatos and dvalin, dvalin inhale the poison thus making him berserk
3. many of some ruins in mondstadt is related to the god of time, some were eerie enough in explanation, I believe that mondstadt is the gate to celestia, my theories
4. maybe what happened la signora also one of the reason? i dunno about that XD
during a war 500 years ago, khaenriah is perish, dendro archon is dead, maybe it somehow related to that, due to that tsaritsa is becoming colder and lost her meaning as the goddess of love just like how ei became so infatuated with eternity as she watch her sis died in war, she also cut things with barbatos, perhaps barbatos is one of the reason behind that, I don't say venti is bad, but maybe because mondstadt indirectly connected to celestia so his nation became the target of many, like our sibling said in the beginning, mondstadt is considered to go to ruined by the abyss order, it's hard to explaining
"Fair skin, light colored hair and eyes.. Do you know who matches this description?"
Me: CHONGYUN!
"Dainsleif"
Me: oh...

Maybe the "Light prince" is K'haenriah prince and Tsaritsa fell in love into him 500 years ago but then he was destroyed with his kingdom
i mean for kaeya, we can see that his cryo particle is a form of crystals that combine so it looks like icicle, while other cryo user have the same effect which is snowflakes

I wonder if shes connected to raiden or sumn she can even turn the whole sky turn dark just by her E...scary than the archon herself
Imagine getting through all seven nations and than discovering another dimension.
This video made me fall in love with lisa once again more and more, btw I already love her🖤
What makes her scarier is that all she had to do to acquire a vision was to think that she needed one, and just like that, an electro vision appeared for her.
I think she regretted it later, because this alleged "gift of the gods" has a cost. And she discovered that and is trying to warn others too about it. "Before demanding too many miracles from the gods, first consider if you are willing to pay the price they ask."
In her story, it says that she is secretly hoping for someone special to realize the truth.
Also if i'm not mistaken one of the harbingers tried to experiment on a FUCKING CHILD
That abyss mage scream was so well done I wish we hear it every time I defeat one of them
Would be worth the trouble
the light prince might be one of the traveler's since the element we see them use in the beginning is, "presumably" light
Lisa can legit cast Lighting from the sky and change the whole sky into purple with only her E skill , she is definitely an underrated character

My guy has over 200iq in game lore
A friend of mine told me that the Hilichurls are humans from Khaen'riah who lost control or smth like that
And in the very start of the game Lisa says: "Don't u know what visions are?
I was just searching for that, I'll leave this response in hopes of this comment getting more attention

My shot-in-the-dark guess is that the Light Prince is Pierro, the First Harbinger.
The Mocking Mask artifact from the Pale Flame set is about Pierro, and its lore description includes the following:
"Since my level of learning could not compare with the sages, I failed to earn the favor of the previous ruler.
So too did I fail to stop them from tearing away the veil of sin, ushering in a tide of divine wrath, destruction, and foolishness..."
It sounds like he has some connection to Khaenri'ah and may even be _from_ Khaenri'ah.
Tsaritsa preyed on pale princess because she was cold and 'pale', perhaps somewhat the same as Rosaria's appearance
Thank you for linking this video in your latest video. ❤️❤️
Paimon’s probably an ancient seelie princess. They used to have humanoid forms way back according to some of the lore books.

Tsaritsa literally is the feminine form of Tsar in russian, it's not even about "she" or "her" refering, she's the "Queen"
Tsaritsa is feminine term
He's theories always get me, it's so good- AAHHH I always enjoy your video keep it upp
i had read the book yesterday... but i had thought that the night mother might be gold... i had completely forgotten about the unknown god 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I thought the same because the night mother and the "monsters of the dark" which I assumed were rifthounds haha
@@Sidtheriser07 since gold's corruption is rumored to be related to the dark sea... i thought it might've been related to that...
Correct me If I'm wrong, but wasn't gold an experiment himself?
@@Tushar-rp1gr 1) Gold was confirmed to be a she.
2) No, Gold was the one who did the experiments, with Albedo being one of them
In your defense the game kinda forgot to ever remind us the unknown god exists.
Another clue that the pale princess is Tsaritsa,
Venti mentions that he and Tsaritsa used to be close until the cataclysm 500 years ago.
JK 😆
On a more serious note, I've been wondering for a while now, if Celestia is aware of the Tsaritsa's plans, why don't they just destroy Snezhnaya like they previously did? and if they have no idea what she is planning then how exactly do they monitor and keep tabs on Teyvat?
I guess the only thing we can do is wait and watch
Perhaps Celestia is aware but is waiting for the right moment to make an example of Snezhnaya. Maybe they really don't know what's going on right at this moment. Or maybe it's all one big plan to destroy all of teyvat at once and start from a blank slate
Also, Lisa was one the most prominent student of the Sumeru Academia in the last 200 years. But, after she obtained a forbidden book and read it, thus revealing who-knows-which secrets, she suddenly retrieved to Mondstadt to be a librarian. Very sus 🤔
