IT'S BACK, THEY DIDN'T FIX IT CORRECTLY - Jeep JL Hinge Corrosion Issue Updated(2)

- This video is a short update on the hinge corrosion issue I previously had on my Jeep JL, which I thought had been fixed. Unfortunately, the corrosion is back and starting to spread. I wanted to create this video to inform you all that the problem has returned because the dealership that repaired it did NOT replace the parts; they only sanded them down and repainted them.
For anyone needing corrosion repairs, do NOT allow the dealership to use this bandaid solution. Make sure they replace the affected parts with new parts so that the issue doesn't return.
I'll keep you all posted on whether I'll be able to get this fixed under warranty again. Please subscribe to the channel to be notified when I post another update regarding this issue.
If anyone has had similar issues or experiences, please share them in the comments below.

Galvanic corrosion/dissimilar metals? That should be covered under the body/frame corrosion warranty, which is different from the 'bumper to bumper' or powertrain warranty. Maybe this sounds stupid, but what about a sacrificial anode like they use in boats or hot water heaters (or the manufacturer just uses the right metals)? The hinges are aluminum and the door is steel, right? If this is the case, then this is an old problem... like 1824. Stellantis should have known about the problems with using the wrong alloys and should have used something with an index closer to the metals of the door.
Mine is going in for work in October. I was told all 4 doors and hood will be getting replaced. Hope they actually replace them and not just "repair" since that what they said they would do from the get go.
Yeah definitely fight for them to put new parts on.
Great video; much appreciated. Over the decades I've owned many Jeeps and currently own a "23 Gladiator Mojave. Very disappointed to hear they didn't make the repair correctly from the beginning.
Yeah hopefully they will fix it again.
I have a 21 Jeep Gladiator and I have corrosion on the lower portion of the front passenger door. I’m in the process of having the corrosion issue taken care of. My dealership does not have a collision center so a non-CJDR collision center will handle the corrosion issue.
Make sure they replace the parts and don't just sand and repaint it.
Probably take a major lawsuit.
A little off topic but can you give the specs for the wheels and tires...thanks
They are 38x13.5r20 on 20x10 -18mm wheels. Check out some of my other videos for details.
Is this a problem on the 23s and will be a problem on the 24s?
I am hoping they have fixed it, I thought it only happened on 18-20. If someone has a newer model and it happening please comment and let us know
@@evolvedjeepinit’s starting on my 2021. So far 2 door hinges with bubbling.
@@jpl8085 that sucks, you think they would have figured this out.
I’ve heard it’s still happening on 2024 models.
I believe it was corrected by 23 model.
I don’t know much about Jeeps, but I always thought the door hinge corrosion was normal and expected if you look at the design. Hope you get it sorted.
Pretty normal. The tires throw rocks at the hinges all day. Impossible to keep the paint nice. Get a touch up paint and hit it regularly.
Yeah but usually it is paint that is flaking off, this is corrosion from the inside out.
What a joke. Terrible.
What a joke and no there is not a life time warranty. Terrible.
