They don't put salt on the roads in Winter in Florida like they do "Up North". I suspect that was a flood car.

I was thinking that it was a flood car with salt water, but a good drive through salt water and sitting for a while with out a good cleaning will do the same. I'll bet that this Jeep gets a good cleaning on the bottom, then undercoating and sold to the next unsuspecting customer as a demo unit.

I went to our local Ford dealership to check out an Explorer, while I was standing there waiting for him to go get the key I noticed there was some condensation on the inside of the windows, during the test drive I commented to the salesman that the car felt heavy and sluggish, he replied that's because it was built Ford tough. When we got back to the showroom I asked to see the interior and when he opened the back hatch it was completely full of water! I'm talking like 30 gallons or more, the spare tire well was completely full and even the carpet above it was about an inch deep. Drove buy the dealership a week later and it was still on the lot being advertised a s new

This is a no-brainer. That Jeep was obviously one of the thousands of cars that was subjected to high salt water storm surge. If any car sits in salt water for days, no amount of undercoating would prevent corrosion. I'm quite sure there are many more cars on the road just like that one that came from Florida dealerships. Much of the corrosion would have been mitigated if the dealership had had the mindset to rinse those cars' undercarriages off with fresh water after the storm surge had receded.

Anomaly lol I've seen two year old wranglers with door hinges rotted off the WW2 had better metal than brand new all manufacturers use inferior steel with no nickel alloys cause its cheaper

The rust is mostly cosmetic. The rust on the exhaust flange nuts are extreme for a new car. Looks like some loading damage on those rusty strips.
